You will love the location of this unit offering panoramic water views over the bay and Tomaree Headland. The grassy foreshore reserve is all that stands between you and iconic Shoal Bay Beach - the soft white sand is just metres away! This fantastic location will leave you spoiled for choice spend your days soaking up the sand and sea and when you're ready to explore, head to the lovely seaside town of Shoal Bay, home to many delicious cafes and restaurants. Nearby is the boat ramp at Little Beach which offers a lovely deep swimming beach, or closer to shore, calm and clear waters for kids to play. Nelson Bay is just a short 5-minute drive away and offers award-winning restaurants, cafes, boutique shopping and a range of aquatic or land activities, or you may even like to get an ice cream and enjoy a stroll around the d'Albora Marina.

This family friendly unit has all the ingredients you need for a fun-filled holiday by the sea. Its elevated first floor position requires minimal steps to access and is ideal for young families. Walk through to a well laid out, open plan living and kitchen area with view out to Tomaree and Yacaaba Headland. You can relax and enjoy a drink with uninterrupted views on your balcony, which has an outdoor table with seating for 4. There is a comfortable 2-seater lounge, with a TV, DVD and CD player. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need, including a microwave, full size fridge and upright stove/oven.

The main bedroom has a queen bed, built-in robe and balcony access, while the 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, plus a separate toilet, and a hair dryer is available for guest's use. The functional internal laundry has a washer, dryer and ironing facilities.

Secure parking is available in the oversized single garage, as well as one off-street open car space.

Shoal Bay Apartment, great location!!!

Nice apartment, moments from the beach, you can hear the waves & you get a lovely sea breeze. Perfect location, just a short walk through the reserve to a beautiful beach with amazing view, crystal clear water, Shoal Bay Beach. You can easily walk as well to Little Beach for a swim + visit the Little Beach House on the water for a bite to eat & a cocktail.

Excellent location and clean property

You get pretty much what is in the property description. The property was clean. Be careful while showering warm water may stop suddenly. Could have been better if they offer WiFi. Overall I would recommend for a family of 4-5

Well positioned very quiet neighbourhood easy walk to everything.only criticism is that bedroom window in the single room could not be opened.Feel that this needs to be addressed urgently as it would be almost impossible to sleep in there in summer

Shoal Bay quiet time

The location is ideal - very quiet and literally a minute to the beach. An easy walk to Shoal Bay shops/restaurants. 5 minute walk to inner bay beaches. Throughout the day and especially at night the sound of the surf is a constant companion. Elements of the unit have been modernised. No a/c or ceiling fans which was not a problem given the frequent breezes. 2 pedestal fans were provided though one is almost useless and needs replacing. Patio furniture is very old and stained. Sadly the state of cleaning was poor - mould evident in bathroom sink, and on some shower tiling, dust and fluff around door seals. Floors and benches were clean. Lockable garage below was very handy. Yes, we’d stay again provided these simple improvements are attended to.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The apartment is good and it is in a very good location.The cleanliness wasn't good though. There was dust on the bedside tables and other furniture. It didn't look like they were wiped for quite some time. There was a wrapper from the female hygiene pad on the floor near the bed.But the most disappointing was the experience dealing with the property manager. We asked about a late check-out (hoping for an extra one hour) but despite the apartment being vacant for the following day Winning Holidays were unwilling to give us an extra hour or two unless we pay extra $75.They were quite hostile in their response and unwilling to help. All they had to do was to contact the cleaners and ask them to come one hour later. But they were not willing to do it.We reported the cleanliness issues and were told that the manager would contact us straight away. But it didn't happen.It looks like Winning Holidays couldn't care less about making the customers happy and about return business.As a result, Winning Holidays lost us a repeated customer and we won't recommend their services.We feel sorry for the apartment owners who are clearly losing money because of the unprofessional property manager.

Reviewer Comments: It was ok the beds where very uncomfortable You can see into the bathroom window from outside which was very upsetting as myself and my 2 teenage daughters showered in there and the thought of being seen was very uncomfortable
