About this property

Unparalleled Mountain Views from Clean Contemporary Home Close to Everything

Sedona Red Rock View was made for you. This welcoming home accommodates adult guests and has a warm, rustic feel, yet all the modern amenities you expect. You'll be awed by its distinctive and beautiful unobstructed views of Sedona's famed red rocks. Incredible views are from the back of the home, with many large windows for viewing, whether on a rejuvenating vacation or working online for a flexcation getaway. The rear of the house and deck face east and get the morning sun after it rises over the Mogollon Rim. The home is perched on a gentle slope at the edge of a quiet and convenient residential neighborhood, with street-side privacy provided by bushes and pine trees that also give shade from the afternoon sun. Dense bushes and trees separate you from side neighbors while you're surrounded by nature, relaxing on the deck at the four-seat table, in a lounge chair, or on one of the built-in benches.

From a personal standpoint, I provide individualized attention and caring support while you're staying as guests in my home. I'm your single point of contact for everything, and if others are needed, I'll get them.

===== Working During a FlexCation? =====

== Then you may be interested in:
o High-speed cable internet 100Mbps service, proven to handle WFH + TVs
o Three high-speed Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac routers in a mesh configuration
o A separate always-active Wi-Fi router as a backup if the primary mesh routers ever fail
== And multiple potential workspaces:
o A desk with mesh-back rolling desk chair, task light, power strip puck with 3 outlets & 2 USB charging ports is in the secondary bedroom with a door for privacy/noise
Guests have also worked from:
o The kitchen breakfast counter with three swiveling stools, a wall outlet with 2 USB charging ports, and an additional power strip mounted under the counter
o The stone-top dining room table with comfy padded leather chairs

===== Location, location, location =====

This two-bedroom, two-bath home is located 5 minutes from Whole Foods and Bashas' grocer and 7 minutes from Safeway. The home is minutes away from multiple trailheads, upscale shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Its West Sedona address is centrally located and ideal as a launch point for your all-day or after-work adventures. While outside and inside this home, you'll experience fabulous views from the deck, living room, dining room, and secondary bedroom, which include Wilson Mountain, Teapot, Ship Rock, The Fin, and more. Front and side views include Coffee Pot Rock, Thunder Mountain, and Sugarloaf. I include a Red Rock Pass for parking at most trailheads while staying as guests, so you won't have to spend time standing in line waiting to buy your own. You also have secure and full use of the two-car garage when parked at home. The outlet in the garage is free to use for charging your EV quickly. You must bring your own proprietary adapter matching my wall outlet and your car port. See photo section for a detailed view of that outlet. Be aware that the driveway is narrow and tricky, so your "full+" sized SUV, such as an Escalade, may have trouble turning around. Parking at the top of the driveway is a good option in that case.

===== House Cleaning =====

My professional cleaners thoroughly clean, including disinfecting tolerant surfaces and high-touch areas such as doorknobs, light switches, and handles. When you arrive, check-in won't require you to come into physical contact with anyone because your personalized security code gets you into the house. And when you check out, I only ask that you text me so I'll know.

===== Sleeping Well =====

Casper memory foam mattresses enhance your nighttime comfort in both bedrooms. The primary bedroom with a king and the secondary bedroom with a queen mattress will lull you into deep slumber each night. All windows in both bedrooms have Levolor cellular blinds with black-out fabric, so you can sleep late and nap anytime. In addition, their top-down, bottom-up feature provides privacy when you want natural light in the room.

===== Dining =====

Create an elegant mood while enjoying meals at the six-chair stone-top dining room table or the three-stool breakfast counter using the Hunter green Fitz and Floyd, or the contemporary Mikasa place settings, and mid-century modern flatware. Complete your table settings with glassware from the collection of water, juice, wine, champagne, beer, and coffee mugs. When dining outside on the deck, you'll love the convenience and practicality of serving trays, pitchers, ice buckets, and rugged melamine plates in Sedona-red-and-gray, complementing the scenery beyond the deck.

===== Pampering Yourself =====

The heated tile floor and heat lamp over the shower's drying area in the primary bathroom will gently warm you on cool days. You'll love this well-thought-out bathroom with a walk-in shower having six side jets, a handheld wand, a large overhead rain-style showerhead, a foot rinse faucet, and a built-in foot ledge making it easy to pamper legs and feet. A hidden floor drain completes the clean, modern look, and a small sliding privacy window allows fresh Northern air in on warm days and after steamy showers anytime. In the secondary bathroom, you can luxuriate in the deep soaking tub or be very efficient in the combination shower adorned with soothing earth-toned tile walls and a roughhewn natural stone backsplash behind the vanity.

===== Hot Drinks =====

While rejuvenating, you'll savor coffee by the cup from the Keurig; or auto-drip from the Cuisinart 12-cup thermal carafe; or manual-drip using the Melitta pour-over filter carafe. Tea and hot cocoa devotees will be pleased with the hot water dispenser on the thermal Cuisinart unit.

===== Details, details, details =====

Cook delicious and nutritious meals using Select Calphalon non-stick pots and pans. The kitchen stove provides precise heat control for stovetop cooking. You may also choose to bake dinner in the oven using one of several oven-to-table casseroles, bowls, and pans. In addition, the over-the-range microwave fan is vented outside to keep the kitchen temps more comfortable, and the outdoor propane grill is perfect for cooking wholesome meals year-round.

For your culinary inspiration, the kitchen is very well equipped. It provides reverse osmosis filtered water at the sink and a variety of necessities from A to Z, such as Baking sheets, blender (Ninja), bread baskets, Casserole dishes, cheese grater/slicer, coffee grinder, cooking utensils, cutting boards, Electric can opener, Instant-read thermometer, handheld electric Mixer, mixing bowls, Pans, pots, Pyrex bowls with lids, Rolling pin, Salad spinner, serving bowls, serving spoons, slow-cooker, spatulas, veggie steamer, a fully stocked Spice rack spinner, 4-slice Toaster, tongs, stovetop whistling Tea kettle, wire Whisk, and more. In addition, there are BBQ tools in a kitchen drawer for the outdoor grill.

Be confident you won't run short of clean linens with the extra supply of fluffy towels and washcloths inside the linen closet in each bathroom. Black washcloths are also included for makeup removal.

Your suitcase will have a little more space for crystals, blown glass, jewelry, and other Sedona treasures since you don't have to pack a hairdryer - there's one provided in each bathroom. Likewise, you don't have to pack your yoga mat or block - two sets are provided. You don't even have to pack binoculars - a Nikon zoom unit is in the home already. And if you want to pack even lighter, use the washer and dryer with the detergent provided to wash and wear the same clothes repeatedly.

=== Your Safety =====

Contrary to news articles saying most vacation rentals don't have these things, my home does have the following safety features: Smoke detectors (that make noise and text me), carbon monoxide detectors (that make noise and text me), handheld fire extinguishers (3), and a first aid kit in each bathroom. Smart lighting handles exterior lighting at dusk and when movement is detected. When the front door is unlocked after dark, lights in the front hallway turn on. And if smoke or CO are detected after dark, the hallway and outside lights turn on. In addition, the front door has a smart deadbolt lock, the garage door opener has smart wireless controls using your phone, and the security codes for both of those are changed for every guest every time without fail.

===== Sedona Red Rock View is for You =====

Come and experience it yourself; you'll be glad you did. Thank you for considering my home for your vacation or flexcation in Majestic Sedona. I welcome adults of all backgrounds, visiting from anywhere in the world, who desire upscale, higher-end vacation accommodations in Sedona. So come, stay, relax, luxuriate, and return many times.
Enjoy!
Robert

Best Experience Ever
I cannot say enough about how wonderfully thought-out everything was. When I first walked in the house, I bee-lined toward the back deck, and it was just as advertised...beautiful and serene. Despite the home being located in a safe neighborhood, you feel like you have all of Arizona to yourself. The instruction book left by the host was so informative. We used it every day and were able to experience some epic hikes. I highly, highly, highly recommend.

Fantastic Stay
The Sedona Red Rock View House is amazing. Thanks for sharing your home Robert! The views from the deck and inside the house are incredible. The house is just as pictured. Every room is clean and comfortable, with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your vacation. The house is also conveniently located it in a nice neighborhood in West Sedona, minutes from hiking, shopping and spas. We loved waking up with the sun every morning to watch the sunrise, the rabbits and the Gamble's quails. There are tons of birds and other wildlife to watch right off the deck. We were able to truly relax during our stay. A needed shinrin yoku. Thanks again Robert.

About the host

Hosted by Robert Wulfert

Host profile image
My family's retirement home is next door and has been in the family since 1988. So although I don't yet live in Sedona full-time, I spend as much time here as I can. So you'll have 24x7 access to me by phone, and I have people on the ground to handle anything that comes up requiring a physical presence when I'm not here to do it myself.

Unless you tell me otherwise, my hosting style is tailored to my perception of your visiting style:
So...
If you seem self-sufficient and maybe even a repeat visitor, I'll tend to stay out of the picture unless you contact me by text, phone call, or email to my HA/Vrbo inbox. You'll receive a few electronic communications from me, with important ones about pre-arrival details and about the check-out process being sent to your HA/Vrbo inbox and a duplicate to the external email you used to register so that you won't miss something important. I'm here to help if and when you need it, but not to intrude on your privacy or sense of being home away from home.
But...
If you're new to Sedona and want lots of advice, or if you have questions about the house, that's great too. I'll stay in touch with you as often as you want so I can help you get the most out of your visit. Since I'm not always in town, this will most likely be via text, phone call, or email to my HA/Vrbo inbox. You'll also receive electronic communications from me, with important ones about pre-arrival details and about the check-out process being sent to your HA/Vrbo inbox and a duplicate to the external email you used to register so you won't miss something important.
And...
If neither of the above descriptions fits you and you want something different from me as a host, please just tell me what it is. Let me know how to be the best host possible for you, and I will become that for you.

I'm here for you 24x7,
Robert

Why they chose this property

Why this property? I fell for this house in 1988 when the neighbors invited us over for some Christmas cheer. Their old woodstove was fired up, the home was cozy, and the rough-hewn wood beams and trim evoked a warm and welcoming feeling. The view was just as fantastic as our house next door, and the size of the house seemed perfect. I especially liked the vaulted ceiling in the living room, the partial wall between the living room and hallway, and the bank of windows on the rear of the house overlooking the mountains, valley, and canyon rim. I thought then and now that it will be a great place to live later in life after our larger family home next door becomes too much for my needs.

What makes this property unique

Unique benefits? Location, location, location. The views; being close to town for its amenities; and being near so many trails are the draw -- the best of all worlds.

And as your temporary home away from home, you can cook delicious and nutritious meals at home on the natural gas kitchen stove for precise heat control. Or bake dinner in the gas oven using one of several oven-to-table casseroles, bowls, and pans. The over-the-range microwave fan is vented outside to keep the kitchen temps more comfortable, and the propane-fired infrared grill is perfect for cooking wholesome meals outside on hot summer days and year-round.

For your culinary inspirations, the kitchen is very well equipped. It provides reverse osmosis filtered water at the sink and a variety of necessities from A to Z, such as baking sheets, blender (Ninja), bread baskets, casserole dishes, cheese grater/slicer, coffee grinder, cooking utensils, cutting boards, electric can opener, handheld electric mixer, instant-read thermometer, mixing bowls, pans, pots, Pyrex bowls with lids, rolling pin, salad spinner, serving bowls, serving spoons, slow-cooker, spatulas, splatter shield, tongs, veggie steamer, a fully stocked spice rack spinner, 4-slice toaster, stove-top whistling tea kettles, wire whisk, and more. In addition, there are BBQ tools in the kitchen for the outdoor grill, and its panels are safe to clean in the dishwasher.

While vacationing here, you'll savor coffee by the cup from the Keurig; or auto-drip from the Cuisinart 12-cup metal thermal carafe; or manual-drip using the Melitta pour-over filter carafe. In addition, tea and hot cocoa devotees will be pleased with the hot water dispenser on the thermal Cuisinart unit.

I hope you'll come and stay, and then come back again and again.
