This home is absolutely beautiful. A must experience for fans of FLW and MCM design. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed and check-in and communication with the owner was easy.
A one of a kind experience staying in a 1950's FLW home with all the conveniences of today! We became bird watching geeks! Loved the beautiful gardens! If you love beautiful architecture you will be amazed how beautifully Doug lovingly restored the Meyer House.

Thank you Lanette, it was a pleasure to host you and I look forward to having you visit again in the future!
My daughters are big Frank Llyod Wright fans being graphic designers and chose Doug's beautiful property to begin our new yearly tradition of getaway weekends. We we're all very impressed with the attention to detail inside and out plus enjoyed exploring Wright's architectural vision for the Meyer House. Needless to say we spent almost our entire time indoors and could still witness the beauty of the outdoors landscape with wall to wall and floor to ceiling windows. It was an amazing weekend and many thanks goes to Doug for allowing us to stay in his beautiful home!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this FLW home!!! Doug has truly loving restored this home to its original glory and then some... with all new kitchen and bathrooms. The beds were very comfy. The master bedroom is a little exposed to the house due to the balcony, but everyone went to bed a the same time so it didn't really mater. I can see why this would be considered a 2 person house since a whisper from anyplace can practically be heard everywhere, but for a couple nights with family it was fun. I could sit and look at this beautiful home (inside and out) for days on end. The layout is so unique for FLW and stunningly beautiful. Thank you Doug for sharing your lovely home :)
Our stay at the Meyer House far exceeded our expectations, however high they were going in. The house was so beautiful, and snow falling all weekend made the views even better than I'm sure they usually are. The owner was extremely generous, in terms of snacks, coffee, homemade cookies and more left for us to help ourselves to. I love the location too - you feel totally isolated from any hustle and bustle, but can be to the highway in under 5 minutes and could be in Kalamazoo in 15 minutes or so. I would give my strongest recommendation for anyone considering staying here. I hope we have a chance to stay here again in the future.
We had a wonderful weekend staying at the Meyer House. There is no better way to appreciate the genius (and idiosyncrasies) of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture than to stay overnight in one of his Usonian houses. The location at the top of a hill and the pastoral setting are very relaxing and perfect for a weekend getaway. Anyone with an interest in mid-century design should strongly consider a stay at the Meyer House.

Thank you Christopher, I am pleased to hear you enjoyed the stay!
I rented the Meyer house as a 50th Birthday present for my best friend. We visited in early November, 2020. This home is impeccable - and we are not easy to please.
It is clean, has everything you need to settle in and enjoy some quiet time. There are dozens of FLW books to read, gorgeous views, a well appointed kitchen, and comfortable beds.
There are 3 other FLW homes in the neighborhood, but the Meyer house is by far the best maintained in my opinion. Davey the (outside) cat even took a long walk with us when we toured the neighborhood and took pictures.
The owner communicated quickly, and answered all questions I had prior to and during the stay. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

After a busy work season, this was the perfect relaxing getaway. We loved looking out the back with some coffee while reading so many of the awesome books! Kitchen was so well stocked and fun to cook in.
Doug’s restoration, care and furnishing of The Meyer House is impeccable! I am an architectural historian and staying here was a dream come true! Doug is an amazingly kind and generous host, a million thanks ☺️
