Cabin was clean and nice. View was amazing. I didn’t mind no WiFi, but I did have a slight issue with the satellite package. No sports channels was kind of a drag. Otherwise it was great. Just a little farther from the “action” than I thought, but not bad at all. Definitely recommend
It was a cute place. The two bathrooms were very nice. Relaxing on the porch and the view from the back porch was spectacular! It was a little further away from Pigeon Forge than what I expected. I inquired about early check in and was told I would be given an answer in a day or two but never heard back. Overall it was a good experience.

Tennessee Trip
We had a great time. Short trip but house was really nice and beautiful view of the lake.
We went on a family vacation to the Sevierville/Gatlinburg area. Douglas resort was quite and away from the tourist craziness. It was nice to come back and relax after exploring the area. The cabin had nice views and was the perfect size for our family of four. Our guest contact was available to answer our questions when we had issues and gave us a prompt answer. We enjoyed our stay.
Two of us came to stay at this very cozy cabin, and we enjoyed the view the most! We were visiting a friend only four homes down, so the location was fantastic. The price was awesome, and the outside deck was beautiful. The description said there was no Wi-Fi, so we knew that ahead of time, but in the future, I would hope the owners would add this feature.
A wonderful cabin to stay in. Only changes I would make is cleanliness of the hot tub and the grill brush. The hot tub had a bad smell and the water was green due to it not being cleaned. I actually enjoy cleaning a grill after using but the brush provided did a poor job in my opinion. Very petty concerns so my family would definitely stay here again.

Douglas lake cabin
We enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The only thing that we would recommend is the hot tub being cleaned and a better grill brush. The hot tub was green and had a bad smell due to not being cleaned and we would have liked to leave the grill cleaner upon leaving. These concerns are not deal breakers so we would enjoy staying again, but the hot tub would definitely have to be cleaned, the smell was very unpleasant.

Cleanliness /fees
The cabin had cobwebs everywhere/spider eggs in bathroom / three rolls of toilet paper/hot tub had black stuff floating/ the grill had so much grease it caught on fire/we paid a cleaning fee think we deserve that back/we believe we saw termites and if it wasn’t spiders biting us maybe bed bugs

Hi Randy, the homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following: We have heard only positive comments lately from previous guests and this is the first we're hearing about this. We will have the cabin inspected to ensure that the place is pest-free. We have a professional cleaning company that services the home but they do not clean the grill and we will communicate this with the cabin manager. Our cleaning company works hard to prepare the cabin and ensure it is cleaned thoroughly. As is standard in the vacation rental industry, we provide a starter amount of toiletries and other essentials, and once that amount is out, it's typical for the guest to purchase more supplies. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
I really enjoyed my visit the cabin was clean and quite. The hot tub was very relaxing and a wonderful view of Douglas Lake. Has the information on the listing mentions there's no Wifi. Dish Satellite has a lot of channels but no On Demand or options like HBO or Showtime. There's a DVD player and tv's both upstairs and down. Bring your favorite book and movie and enjoy the large back porch plus the Hot Tub. The swimming pool is a 2-3 minute drive and requires a access code key you will be provided. I did enjoy my stay and would recommend this cabin.

Cockroaches and no WiFi
First I want to start off with there is NO WIFI so if you plan on bringing gaming stations for you or your kids and Roku/fire sticks to watch Netflix or any other streaming apps, book another place. It was honestly so miserable with having to go to bed in the dark or on a rainy day sit there and do nothing. Secondly this place does have cockroaches we found a dead one in a corner and one that was crawling on the ceiling of the bed room that eventually fell on our friends and family while they were trying to sleep. We also had like an infestation of ladybugs crawling out of the sinks and windows that were closed due to it being December. We called evolve and they called the owner and property manager and they offer no refunds for the disgusting stay, which is honestly pretty sad and petty because we could have easily gotten half of our money back. I do want to add that I did send pictures of the cockroaches and ladybugs . And we couldn’t get another cabin because we put $2,300 into staying at this property. This was my first time booking with vrbo and evolve and I can say I was not satisfied with them. All they want is your money and don’t care about you or your stay

Hi Derrick, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We do not advertise having Wifi on the listing so that guests can know this before booking and decide if the property suits their needs.
- Right before your stay, there was an ice storm that left the resort without power for almost two days. Our cleaning company could not get to the cabin and prepare it as they normally would and your group decided that you would clean it yourselves. As such, we refunded the cleaning fee in full.
From us here at Evolve, we apologize that your experience with us was less than satisfactory. Our goal is to make vacation rental easy for everyone, and we're very sorry that we missed the mark. Thanks for letting us know about your stay.
The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Everything was very clean, new and modern. We used the hot tub every day and loved it. The view from the deck is amazing. I did walk down to the lake which only took me six minutes. However, the walk back was all up built and a little bit harder. The TV did not have a remote control which you meant that you had to pull the TV away from the wall to turn it off and on or to change the input so you could watch movies or satellite TV. As stated in the listing, there is no available Wi-Fi there. This was a minor negative. They also do not supply any type of beach chairs, or outside chairs at all. there was also no cleaning supplies provided. We had to go to a local store to purchase spray cleaner, a broom, and basic things that we would need for a week.
Could use a little more TLC. Bathroom (downstairs) window would not close completely allowing gnats to come in. Downstairs TV had intermittent video problems the other Tv s were OK. The windows needed washed and several Light bulbs were out.
The cabin and the community was great. It would have been nice to know a golf cart was permitted. We did think it was a little more secluded than it was but that was ok.
My husband and I stayed here for a wonderful week. The place was very clean and cozy! We loved sitting on the porch drinking coffee in the mornings looking out over the mountain/lake. When we had a question about checkout, the property manager was very quick to respond.
We enjoyed our stay from start to finish. This cozy and beautiful cabin was more than I ever imagined it would be for us. The overall feel of the home was warmth and simplicity, with the luxuries of a breathtaking view from 2 seperate balconies of your choice. The hot tub was a very nice element to add to the relaxation factor of our stay. Every evening we made sure to include half an hour of hot tub time, and it was the best! Overall, we fell in love with this place and would love to come back in the near future!
The cabin was amazing would rent again. The hot tub was so relaxing and the view was beautiful. The host was so easy to get in touch with she helped us a lot. Tons of places to visit who cares about WiFi plus there is a tv to go to sleep to. The beds was so comfy even the pull out couch. 100% would book again was very very satisfied.

2 day stay
At first I was worried- I never received a code or instructions to get in tried to contact through website and never got through, lucky door was unlocked and all was fine after that . I liked the place otherwise
The cabin is amazing, and the view of the lake is beautiful, regardless of the time of day. The over rating should be 5* but i can only give it 4* because of the following factors.
1. When we checked in and checked the hot tub it appeared to have sand in the bottom of the tub, i was informed by the property manager that it is calcium deposits in the water because the unit does not have a water softener on it, so it was a bit odd feeling sitting in a hot tub on top of a mountain in Tennessee while sitting in sand.
2. The owner of the unit does not provide any wifi service at the cabin. Its 2020, get some good internet service in the cabin and take the sign that, in my opinion is rather offensive, that says "NO Wifi, talk to each other, we are sure you have a better connection" and maybe throw a movie channel or two on the satallite service as well, you can only talk about so much over a week.
other than those 2 issues, it was an amazing stay.
