In the outskirts of the village of Pinakates, this stunning traditional villa is an ideal getaway all year long. It offers an authentic experience in complete harmony with nature and the traditional spirit of the famous villages of Pelion. Its story is remarkable: the villa is a renovated stone house, which was originally built back on the late 18th century. Now it’s a modern two-stored mansion maintaining the traditional architectural features, both inside and outside, while offering contemporary facilities to its guests. On entering the villa through the impressive original wooden door, you will find a large dining area with a fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. The dining table sits 8 people and there is a fully loaded kitchenette which includes gas hobs, electric oven, fridge/freezer, toaster, nespresso machine and dishwasher. One spacious double bedroom is entered through the dining area. One bathroom is also located on the ground floor. Through a spiral staircase, you reach the second level, where you will find one spacious double bedroom (with ensuite basin, fireplace, wardrobe and dresser) and one twin bedroom (fireplace, wardrobe and dresser). The main sitting area is located on the same level, with lots of natural light coming in from the 13 windows. In the cosy sitting room, you will find lot of comfort, tranquility and space to relax in front of the main fireplace, reading a good book or enjoying a movie in the screen. All internal areas are characterized by the warmth of combining wood and stone, the essence of the local architecture. The mansion is beautifully decorated with traditional local furniture and objects, offering to its guests an experience of drifting into the old days. In the courtyard, within a lovely garden and hillside view, it’s a perfect place to simply sit back and enjoy the peaceful nature and its magic depending on the season.
Location: The villa is situated at Pinakates, a beautiful village, situated on the mountainside of Pelion, at distance of some 25.4 km (15.78 miles) easter to Volos. Volos airport is located at a distance of 64.5 km (40.01 miles, 1 h 15 min drive). The village’s architecture style is unique, and is one that has been maintained through past decades. The view of the hillsides and Pagassitikos bay is breathtaking, and the surrounding area is dominated by olive trees, vineyards and apple trees. The location is an excellent starting point for day trips: hike in the forests and the marvelous cobblestone tracks, stroll over stone bridges and visit the traditional villages of Milies, Vizitsa, and explore the coastline with a wide spectrum of colors, sandy beaches and picturesque fishing villages.
