Sunset Traditions is truly stunning and is one of the largest homes in the SeaGrass neighborhood! It is a 5 bedroom home (plus a nursery off the master bedroom with a full size crib and rocker) with a game room/bar area on the ground floor that leads out to the spacious pool area. The views are incredible and your walk to the beach is less than 100 feet. This pet friendly home is perfect for several different families to rent together as there are two large living areas on separate floors, huge decks, two sets of washer/dryers, a game room and large bedrooms.


The ground level of the home has the main entrance and foyer, a large game room with a pool table, television, full bath, queen sleeper sofa, bar area with full size fridge, and access to the garage which has a second full size fridge. The game room leads out to the private pool, with a spacious deck for sunbathing, as well as to a huge patio area and fenced in lawn facing the gulf.


On the 1st level of the home you will find 4 bedrooms (2 kings, 1 queen, and a kids room with a twin/twin and full/twin bunk bed), and a large sitting area w/a flat panel TV that is perfect for watching movies. There are 2 full bathrooms on this level, with shared access from the 4 bedrooms. From the sitting area, there is access to the utility room that has a washer/dryer, and also includes a mini refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. There is also access to the large deck via the king and queen bedrooms, and also from the sitting area. Each of the bedrooms on this floor has a TV with the exception of the bunk room.


The 2nd level of this home is spectacular! There is the master bedroom, living, dining and kitchen areas. This is a very open floor plan which is perfect for family gatherings and meals. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a chaise lounge that is just calling you to relax, read a book and enjoy the breathtaking views of the ocean. The bathroom is top of the line with a huge walk in shower and stand alone tub. There is also another washer/dryer in this room.


The living room has a huge tv and beautiful views! There is a large dining room table as well as bar stools. The kitchen is like no other, with a large stove, huge refrigerator and a walk in pantry, a wine cooler and stand alone ice maker. This floor has incredible views seen from the windows that sweep across the whole level and from the spacious deck.


Sunset Traditions also offers free Wi-Fi, local and long distance telephone service. There is a separate pool and hot tub that can be heated for an additional charge. This is a pet friendly home that is just 100 feet from the beach.

Best week of the year

Great house! There were 15 of us and we all had a space that was comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. Having to 2 washers and dryers was awesome. The views are second to none, and being right across from the boardwalk was super. Lived there was a fenced in yard for our fur babies! Zero complaints about the house except time went too fast!!! We've been coming to the cape for 16 years and this is our new favorite house. Can't wait till next year!

The rental house was nice and spacious and had all the amenities we were searching for. The ability to let the dog walk on the grass area was nice and the pool came in handy for a couple rough beach double red days. The view is great even with being second row and no houses in between you and the gulf but while we were there a crew started clearing and leveling the lot right in front. That view will soon be of another house

There was plenty of space for us to spread out. Great house!!

This is the 2nd year in a row we have stayed in this house and we love it. The location and the view are awesome. The walk to the beach is easier than a lot of beachfront homes we have stayed at. Nothing blocks your view and you can hear the sound of the waves so good. The house is so big and spacious accommodating a large family easily. It’s beautifully decorated and kept so clean. Hopefully we can make next year our 3rd year in a row.

The pool was a it went cold on us since we didn’t know to add water when the flow stopped to keep it heated. It was a bummer the hot tub wasn’t working and needed a part to be fixed. If we had known that prior than the night before leaving, we could have picked up the part here in Greenville and had it fixed while we were there. Location and view of the ocean was great.

Even though the house is a block back from the beach, the views from the upper decks are gorgeous and unobstructed. Pool and hot tub were nice when we didn’t feel like being covered in sand. Pool was plenty warm in early-mid May. Tons of beach toys, chairs, and wagon in the garage were a nice amenity we didn’t expect. Gated community and seemed to be very safe. State park at end of cape is absolutely worth the parking fee. Would definitely recommend and hope to go back!

We all have special memories of this beautiful beach and so it was the perfect place to plan a vacation for all of us. Sunset Traditions was the perfect house for us! From the many living spaces for people to hang out, the private pool, the comfy beds, well appointed kitchen to the multiple decks with amazing views of the Gulf, this house did not disappoint! Our favorite thing to do was to watch the sun sink into the ocean then watch all the stars come out. We saw some the best sunsets we have ever seen right from the upstairs porch. The sky was so clear at night that we could see the Milky Way! Every member of my extended family had a wonderful time and before we left we were talking about our next trip to stay in this fabulous property!

This is our bi-annual trip for the family of 18 of us and the house worked out perfectly. Great location! We loved how close it was to the beach - 300 steps! I counted them! The kitchen was very well equipped, but it would have been nice to have some basic spices. One negative thing I would say is that the bathrooms on the middle floor are very small for the intended number of guests. Just be aware. The pool was great! Kids loved it. View is spectacular. Plenty of room for everyone. Pool table was fun. (Sleeper sofa mattress in basement needs to be replaced.) A fabulous week!!!

Reviewer Comments: We have been vacationing at Cape San Blas for the past 12 years and our recent stay at Sunset Traditions (4/28-5/6/23) was the best beach retreat home that we have stayed thus far. This lovely home is spacious and beautifully furnished with stunning views of the Gulf, great decks on the second and third floors and a fantastic pool and spa with a large fenced yard that is great for the pups. The spacious bedrooms have comfortable mattresses and quality bed linens and towels with large bathrooms. Nice pool table room with extra full size refrigerator and TV viewing area. Ice Maker machine with bar area next to kitchen. Coastal Joe Vacation Rentals (Brittany) was very helpful and responsive to any questions. The spectacular beach is a 5 minute walk across the street down the boardwalk into the sand! We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Traditions immensely and we have already reserved our beach retreat there for next May 2024!

The views are fabulous from the spacious rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The kitchen has ample counter space and well-equipped. The furnishings are lovely and comfortable with quality linens and towels. There is great deck space and a nice gas grill. The pool and jaccuzzi are nice and there is a great fenced back-yard for the pups to run and play. The house feels new and is very clean and well-maintained. The walk to the beach is about 5 minutes. The beach has pristine white sand and the Gulf water there is clean and clear. the sunsets are spectacular to enjoy every evening! Coastal Joe Rental agents are very responsive and attentive to emails and calls. We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Traditions immensely and highly recommend it for the best beach retreat ever!

Almost Good Rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the size and the space in the house. The house in need of much repair. Broken door, dishwasher, seal on outside door, door filling with water. Hot water faucet on one of the bathroom sinks didn't work and the repairman said they need to replace it. General mold and mildew on the outside of the house. Broken child's picnic table left in the pool area with rusty screws sticking up. No skimmer at the pool to remove all of the bugs, leaves and flower petals. House is for sale so the owner may just be trying to get it sold. Could be a great place with better up keep. I would recommend it, but with reservation.

Why they chose this property

I started travelling to the Cape in 1968 when my parents discovered the State Park. Since that time, it has become a favorite place to travel with my own family. We absolutely love the area and are happy to share our home with guests.

What makes this property unique

My family has rented many, many homes over the years so we know what works in a rental home. Sunset has several sitting areas which is great for multiple families so they can spread out. It also has room for the kids to get away from the adults (in the game room area on the ground floor). Finally, it offers several decks and outside stairs that allow guests to access the house from several floors. We take pride in the condition of our home which you will see in the reviews that are posted. We also have an on site property management firm that quickly takes care of any needs our guests might have.
