Beautifully renovated 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom modern home!

Main level offers open great room plus a bedroom with king bed and a bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen with double-oven, lots of spices and a Keurig!

Upper level has a loft area with window seat, bathroom and 2 bedrooms; 1 with a king bed and the other with a queen.

Lower level has a nice family room, combo game table (includes ping pong, pool table, and air hockey), and a bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds.

You'll enjoy 2 large flatscreen TVs: Smart TV in the living room, TV in the lower level family room. Both with Blu-ray.

Walkway to dock which offers covered boat slip (no hoist), new floating dock (to be used as a swim platform, not for boat tie-up), electric and lights. 3 adult kayaks, 2 kids kayaks and a paddleboard available for tenant use.

Enjoy views of all the main lake action while swimming and fishing in a protected cove. Watch the weekend sailboat regattas take place across the lake.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If a reservation is cancelled with at least 90 days prior notice, 1/2 of the pre-paid rental payment will be refundable. If a reservation is cancelled within 90 days of your arrival date, no refunds will be issued. Notice of cancellation must be in writing, email is acceptable. Be sure to reference the rented property name and dates you had intended to visit.

Relaxing and fun!

Family Christmas 2023

Loverly house. Well appointed comfortable for all to have space and together time. We enjoyed the Hot Tub, Fire pit and Kayak.

The house was wonderful. It was very clean and a great location. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and it had a lot of room to spread out. We liked the rec room and bedroom downstairs for the kids. The only thing we wish it had was a bathroom on the lower level for the kids.

Another wonderful family vacation

This is the second year we have taken our kids and grandkids to SML. The property is great-plenty of room and a nice dock for swimming and fishing. The hot tub got a lot of use as did the fire pit. The sunsets were spectacular!

Beautiful location!

Gorgeous location with sunset views over the lake, great amenities (and a wonderfully well stocked kitchen). Loved having the marina around the corner for boat rentals and enjoyed using the kayaks on the property.

Wonderful views and easy water access.

Perfect spot to enjoy time with family. Beautiful views throughout the property. Hot tub was nice for relaxing, dock was great for fishing and kayaking, and the pool table was enjoyed on rainy days. We had a wonderful stay and we hope to return soon.

Weekend getaway

Came here for a long weekend with the family. The house was beautiful and the view was awesome. So many things to do in the house for all age groups. Would love to come back in the summer to use the lake.

Lakeside perfection

This is our second time renting this house. We love the location and Lake Retreat personnel are the most accommodating and helpful group! They make the rental process very easy. Will definitely use them for future rentals.

Great vacation

We really enjoyed out stay at this house. It was perfect for our family (3 couples and a toddler) and dog. The house is very bright and open and the view is lovey. The cove is very nice and great for fishing-caught several large mouths and a small striper off the dock. The only very minor complaints would be the lack of pantry space in the kitchen and the sun in the late afternoon but that turned into an amazing sunset. Really a great spot and super convenient to walk down to the marina for a boat rental.

Wonderful lake house

We enjoyed our stay at this house so much! The house was exceptionally clean upon arrival. We were so pleased with all the amenities - kayaks for both kids and adults, paddleboard, hot tub, comfortable furnishings, tons of books and games, and a very, very well stocked kitchen! The house is very well appropriated and has many spaces for gathering - multiple outdoor areas, fun loft with chairs and window seat, plenty of basement space. My two small complaints are there is not bathroom in the basement where the bunk beds are (which I hadn't realized from the pictures) and the grass hadn't been mowed and was about 2 feet tall. Still, this house was perfect for our family of 5 and 2 parents (7 total), plenty of space. Our kids already asked if we can return next year.

Beautiful home with gourmet kitchen

We had a lovely stay despite a heavy windstorm that lasted the whole weekend. The house is beautiful and comfortable with a breathtaking view. We very much enjoyed playing pool and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. We look forward to returning.

Fantastic house!

Our small group of friends that included two dogs and two toddlers loved staying here! There was something for everybody and it was a good place to huddle up and relax. The kitchen is well stocked and the house is clean, warm and welcoming! We look forward to coming back sometime in warmer weather to kayak and swim!

Great long weekend stay with our family!

We had an awesome weekend at this beautiful home! Everything is just as described in the listing. Well furnished, plenty of space for our group of 8 and an awesome location! Our kids loved using the kayaks and paddleboard all weekend. The bunk room downstairs is perfect for kids, but having a bathroom on the lower level would be an improvement. The only feedback we would have is to get some blinds or window treatments for the main level. The afternoon sun really heats up the main living areas and kitchen and it was uncomfortable to sit in those areas. Adding drapes or blinds would be so helpful! And probably save the owner some money in energy costs by an over-worked AC unit trying to keep up.

Beautiful property with some hiccups at check-in

The property itself is very well-appointed and nicely furnished, and the owners did a very nice job renovating it. The dock is in a cove that has about 5 other docks, and during our visit, the dock behind ours had a whole bunch of teenage kids and an unleashed dog, which took away some of the quiet enjoyment and relaxation, but this is not within the control of the owners or property managers. What was controllable by the managers was having the property cleaned before we checked in. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and we had to call them to get cleaners in, and to take out the trash that the previous tenants had left behind. This meant that we had to spend the first 2-3 hours of check-in staying on the dock and out of the way of the cleaners. Not the best way to start a vacation, especially given that those 2-3 hours won't be refunded, and cleaning fees were part of the price. Those hiccups aside, the house itself and the lake were wonderful.

Amazing house

We had a great stay! We were two families (8 total) and had plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The views are great! It rained one day so we enjoying binging Netflix on the large TV. Wonderful stay... recommend hightly.

Lovely Thanksgiving Weekend

Had a fantastic time with my sister and her family at this lovely home. the owners are thoughtful and have lovely taste The kitchen was outfitted very well and we enjoyed all the other spaces - indoor and out! The only suggestion is that the upstairs bath needs more love so that the water doesn't leak out of the shower/down the shower curtain. Loved that we could bring our pups!

Beautiful interior and best sunset views.

This house has it all...location, space, layout, all the kitchen supplies you need, and it's beautifully decorated in a modern nautical theme. The owner even has a closet full of toiletries in case you forget something. The dock was easy to reach via steps on the hillside, and we docked a pontoon there for the weekend that we rented from Parkway Marina, which is walking distance from the house. The sunset views from the house are incredible, as are the views of the lake. The only slight downside to the house is there are only 2 bathrooms, one on the main level across the hall from the master, and one on the upper level next to the 2 bedrooms. There is no bathroom on the lower level with the bunk room, but it wasn't a problem for the teens that stayed there. We would definitely go back to this lovely and comfortable lake house.

Beautiful place

The house was gorgeous and in a great location. The only two issues were that the back yard was described as 'gently sloped'. It is not - that is a hill and if you are not in good shape, or if someone in your group is older, they will have a tough time. The only other issue is that the air conditioning does not seem to be properly sized to combat the effects of the afternoon sun beating in the windows. They either need shades on those windows or better A/C. Otherwise, we had an amazing time and we LOVE Smith Mountain Lake.

Great house!

The house was clean, spacious and well equipped. It had a great view of the lake. The dock was within view of the house and easily accessible. Not a crazy steep or long walk. It accommodated our 24’ Sea Ray and a fishing boat. A marina is close by where we could launched our boats (nice ramp!) and left our trailers. Overall, great place! We’ve been staying at the lake for several years now and this is the first house I would consider going back to.
