Sugary Pines is a perfect four seasons get away, fall, spring, summer or winter. Sugary Pines is a 1550 square foot multi-level chalet with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and loft. It has a front porch and a 500-square foot back deck with panoramic views of tall Ponderosa Pines and the surrounding mountains. Sugary pines has central a/c for those rare 80 plus degree summer days.. Forced air heating and wood burning fireplace for those chilly winter nights.. The cabin has a full kitchen with all cooking amenities. High speed internet, and Dish network with Hi definition TV.

Sugary Pines is located on 2.5 acres In the friendly town of Overgaard. Overgaard is approximately 150 miles from Phoenix, with a population of about 2500 residents and an elevation of 6500 ft. A 30 minute drive east on the 260 is Showlow. West on 260, the town Of Payson is about a 45 minute drive. Horseback riding, shopping, dining, fishing, hunting, ATV trails and more are at your disposal.

Great stay

The property was very clean and had everything we needed. The check in process was very easy and the property managers communicated well. The location and view from the back deck is amazing and the worth the stay by itself. We saw deer every morning. The neighbor is in a great spot and very quiet. We would stay there again.

Cabin in the pines with a great patio

We stayed for a long weekend over Easter and had a great time enjoying the view and playing games around the kitchen table. There was plenty of room to accommodate 6 adults and two teenagers. Home was clean and stocked fairly well.

Long weekend out of the heat

We enjoyed the property. It's in a nice neighborhood with a great view from the deck. Saw some deer on the property and all through the neighborhood.

Great Summer Getaway

We selected this property because of the view and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching for the deer. The interior is well kept and very comfortable. The area has a lot to offer. Our dog enjoyed walking Tall Timbers Park. We will absolutely be back.

Relaxing Weekend in the Mountains

The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Nice quiet neighborhood, we enjoyed hanging out on the patio cooking and checking out the stars at night.

Great views - Large deck

Our family of four fit nicely into the home with room to spare. It’s sits on the hillside so there are wide open views from the deck where we spent most of our time. We also took a drive to see the neighborhoods around town and this is in one of the nicest we saw. Very quiet - we enjoyed our stay!

Chalet in the Pines is wonderful! Although our stay was short, we had a great time. All the bedrooms were very cozy and the kitchen had everything we needed. Liz was very helpful to us! Answered my text messages quickly!! We plan in staying there again soon; when it can be a little longer!

We love the beautiful cool temperatures, the smell of pine, watching planes take off from the neighborhood airstrip, wildlife out our door but more than anything we loved the beautiful deck and fabulous views !!!! It was where we spent all of our time! The owners were very attentive, always available by phone and very kind!! We would love to come back!!!

A great get away.

The location of this nice little cabin is perfectly placed near the national forest. We took our side by side up with us for a day of exploring the national forest. Woke up on Saturday morning and had breakfast at Woodside Cafe and then headed out from there. Stopped on our way back to the cabin at Red Onion for a great burger and watched the Diamond Backs game 2 of the World Series. Woke up Sunday morning to see deer bedded down on the property.

Amazing deck view

This quiet neighborhood was beautiful and the cabin was too. We would stay again in a heartbeat! The expansive deck was great to watch sunsets, relax or have all your meals. We enjoyed every day getting to see the deer real close to the deck. Everything was clean and owners were great. We chose this area because we enjoy the ATV trails and this was close for us to pick up the trails and there was plenty of parking for our truck and trailer.

What a Deck!

We stay at a lot of VRBO’s and like places that you feel comfortable at and not an intrusion to neighbors. This is a wonderful location that has lots of privacy and the deck is huge with a very nice view. At night all you hear is crickets. The cabin is well appointed and clean. Thanks for letting us stay!

Peaceful - heavenly (if you like airplanes)

The peace and quiet as well as the views are awesome. Location provides privacy but close to main roads and within minutes of both Heber and Overgaard. If you love planes, like I do , the location right next to the Mogollón Airpark was just the icing in the cake! Not terribly busy but enough to satisfy watching some air traffic in the mornings. Best part is that we felt safe and surrounded by peace and nature. Deer and moose were seen nearby!

Beautiful location, comfortable and clean home with gorgeous views!

This was the perfect getaway from the Phoenix heat! The property was easy to get to, yet tucked away! Beautiful views from the deck, very comfortable, and incredibly clean home. The hosts quickly responded to our questions; the property description is spot-on. Hosts provided easy-to-follow directions to the property as well as arrival and departure instructions! We enjoyed our trips to Woods Canyon and Willow Springs lakes; the rain and the cooler temperatures were a welcome change from the Valley! We highly recommend; Liz and Gary are fantastic hosts!

Beautiful Views

My family of 4 stayed here for a long weekend. The kitchen was stocked with high quality pots and pans and extras like wine glasses and a crock pot! My girls loved having 2 rooms that each had twins beds to sleep in and loved playing in the loft area. The master bedroom has an incredibly soft and nice mattress. We brought our can-am and had plenty of room to park it along with our trailer and truck (driveway is a little steep). I would stay here again. Communication was great

Awesome views! Love this place!

This is our favorite house in Heber-Overgaard. The house is very nice and spacious and could accommodate 2 families, but it was just us this time. The views from the deck are incredible and there is a nice breeze that comes through every afternoon. We even got some nice rain and a downpour one day. The area is well kept and there are lots of nice houses. It is pleasant to take walks and ride bikes around the neighborhood. We also enjoy watching the small airplanes take off at the adjacent airport. No complaints. Love it and will be back!

Million Dollar Views!

The views from the back deck are spectacular...the mountains, golf course, sunset, clouds rolling in and small airplanes landing nearby. The neighborhood is quiet, well kept and great for taking walks (some hills). The chalet is spacious and very nice. The layout would work for two families. The photos do not show it, but there are also 2 twin beds in the loft. On other trips, we've eaten at a few of the nearby restaurants, but this house is great for BBQ-ing and enjoying the ambiance of home. It was very peaceful and beautiful and we did not want to leave! The owners were responsive, accommodating and pleasant to work with. We hope to stay here again soon!

Total Relaxation!!

House was wonderful! Comfortable couches and beds! Kitchen had everything you could need including crockpot and rice cooker. Deck was fabulous, spent most of our time there. Our 2 Bichons enjoyed the deck also (totally enclosed, so we didn't have to worry about them wondering off). Neighborhood was super quiet, didn't see anyone around and when you're on the deck you feel like you're miles from civilization. Bring your supplies with you, closest Walmart is an hour away. Dollar General is conveniently close for last minute items, even fresh fruit & vegetables. Couldn't be more pleased with our stay here and would love to return.

My husband and I have been married for 29 years, and have called Glendale Az. our home for 28 years . We have been visiting Overgaard for 15 years, after searching all of Northern Az. for several years we decided Overgaard was the place for us and our family. We purchased our first cabin in Overgaard in 2004. We have always wanted a cabin with amazing views and when we saw this one we knew we had to have it. We plan to retire to Overgaard in the future, having grown to love the area over the years.

Why they chose this property

Beautiful views, nice neighborhood rear deck is very private since the chalet is situated on 2.5 acres. Front porch is below street level. Elk and deer regularly visit the chalet, we are always updating and keeping the chalet fresh and clean.

What makes this property unique

Rear deck with the view of mountains and ponderosa trees with cool breeze, is amazing. Our neighborhood has a HOA, all lots in the subdivision are taken care of regualarly.
