About this property
Historic Highland Cottage - 4th Lake
The Highland Cottage is situated in a prime location for snowmobiling and hiking, there is access to Fourth lake and trails within a few hundred feet of the Cottage. The cottage has 3 levels, with 5 bedrooms, 2 baths, living room, family room, an office area, a fully equipped large kitchen with peninsula, laundry, enclosed porch dining area with large windows and view of the lake, and a screened sleeping porch on the 3rd level. It also has a private dock, sandy beach, picnic table, gas grill, fire pit, satellite TV, and WiFi internet access. Built in the first quarter of the 1900's as the boathouse for The Highland Lodge, it was moved to its current location next to The Highland Lodge and expanded to a cottage sometime after 1922. Although completely renovated in 2000, the two bedrooms upstairs and the sleeping porch that once faced the lake retain the original wainscot paneling and offer a glimpse of the history of this charming cottage.
