We loved staying here! The property was modern, stylish and had plenty of room for our family. It had amazing views from the balconies and especially from the roof. We were centrally located to all of the great activities, shopping, and restaurants in Hollywood. If you are looking for a place to stay to truly get the LA experience, look no further!

An unusual and brilliantly created space— lots of charm and very well-equipped for adults. We didn’t have ideal weather but still enjoyed the Hollywood location, views, and the rooftop deck. The host was right to have someone at the home to greet us— it really is better than the images and unlike any other home in our experience. A small note about cleanliness: we came at the holidays and the floors and some surfaces could have been cleaner. Overall a great stay!

Beautiful place in the Hills! Great location and close to so many things to do. Beds were great--we slept so well our 3 nights here. The kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals. Kelly was super inviting and responsive.

Wonderful home close to everything Hollywood has to offer! The owner Kelly was very nice and was on site for check in to give us the tour. Fully stocked kitchen and the cappuccino maker was a huge bonus! The hot tub was relaxing after long days of walking and exploring! The amazing views of Los Angeles cant be beat. Well be back!

We had a wonderful stay in the Hollywood Hills! The home was perfect for our family — beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and exactly as described. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, which made meals easy and enjoyable. Our host was welcoming, gave clear instructions, and was quick to respond whenever we had a question. We truly felt at home and would happily stay here again.

We had an amazing time at the “house up on the hills.” The property was in great condition and easily housed a family of 5. The hosts were very attentive with communications leading up to the trip and extremely helpful during our arrival. I would highly recommend renting the property and would certainly stay again the next time we’re in LA.

The quality of mattresses, towels, shower heads, and kitchen appliances were great. The views are breath-taking. There are many outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy. The kitchen has everything you’d need like spices, tea and sauces. AC and WiFi worked great too.What we were most impressed with was the tasteful decoration of this house. We would be back in a heart beat.Kelly was also wonderful and accommodating. Thank you!

3-Night Trip to LA

We stayed at "The House Up in the Hills" for three nights for a short vacation to Los Angeles. The house was great, location was great, and Kelly (the owner) was great. We hope to be back someday!

Perfect location, great vibe!

Loved staying at Kelly’s house! It was the PERFECT place for a rejuvenating girls weekend seeing shows at the Hollywood Bowl. We hiked Runyon Canyon, ate at Yamashiro’s and easily walked to shows at the Bowl. The space was spacious, hot tub was great, and kitchen is very well equipped. Highly recommend!

I was so excited to come to this house on my recent visit to LA. The reviews were stellar and the house looked dramatic and glamorous. Here’s what I learned upon arrival that I think future renters should know. This is not a 4-bedroom house as indicated with one bedroom offering a king bed, and the other three offering queen beds. Instead, it is a 3-bedroom house, with the fourth “bedroom” doubling as a “lounge” and the only place for a group to convene (unless you count sitting at a dining table on the main level.) It is filled with a cluster of sofas pushed together that can serve as a makeshift bed. When I expressed disappointment with the accommodations, the owner said that there was a blow-up mattress we could use. Incidentally. that lounge/bedroom is 28 steep stairs down from the main level. Also, would have been cool to know this as I was traveling with my family, including my 88-year-old mother, who struggled to navigate the stairs the entire time. The owner knew that I was traveling with an elderly person as I told her so in my introductory email. Still, because we were in town for a wedding and on a tight schedule, we did not have time to switch accommodations, so stayed. Another fun fact, the bedroom level is 14 steep and turning stairs down from the main level. Again, for the able bodied, a pain. For anyone with mobility issues, it is dangerous.

This bathtub came up to my knee and I am a 6' tall man. Also, absent of a non-slip mat, it was dangerous to use.

House in the Hills

We had a great time at this house. Very clean, all the appliances you could want. The views of LA are fantastic. It is literally 5 minutes drive from Universal Studios Hollywood. Kelly, the host, was lovely. I can definitely recommend staying here.
