The Hideout is perfectly secluded within the Texas terrain. Pulled in and Christmas lights lined the driveway and trees, warm and inviting. Cabin and the host were very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!
The Hideout Cabin was perfect for what we needed and the host was very quick to respond with booking questions and info. Everything was very clean and really wasn’t missing anything I needed. Would highly recommend.
The Hideout was a treat. It was comfortable, private, very well maintained, and the grounds were Hill Country-beautiful. Michael was very helpful throughout.
Great location, cute decor and has everything you need for a good price. There is a walking trail and it is fun to see the other places you could stay (vintage rv, tree house etc). The only small issue I had was that the AC unit turning off and on overnight is loud for light sleepers, but overall it is a great place and I would stay here again.
We enjoyed the property and took several walks on the little trails. There’s also a handful of seating areas to rest and soak in the landscape. We spent lots of time on the front porch enjoying coffee. We will be back!
This place was just what the doctor ordered. Small, yet large enough for two. Quiet, tranquil and peaceful. Great place for a couple to "reconnect". The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked and ready for use. Definitely plan on staying here again. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location.
This was the perfect weekend date for my husband and I. You feel like you’re on more than 7 acres. Great little trail that is beautiful! Horseshoe pit. Cabin is cozy and clean. Definitely would come again.

Daniella's group were wonderful guests! It would be my great pleasure to have them return anytime. ~m~
This little cabin was just as advertised. Very clean and stocked with everything you might need. Michael checked in with us during the week which was much appreciated. We walked through the paths on his property. A lot of thought was put in to making the paths and bridges safe. The property felt very remote but was actually very close to town. We would occasionally hear a rooster and some dogs barking but was not bothersome at all. We rather enjoyed the rooster. Overall very happy with the experience.
This was exactly what I booked for. Everything was as advertised. Michael was an excellent host. The cabin and property were amazing. So quiet and very calm. The cabin was very clean. I really enjoyed myself and will book this cabin again in the future.
Nice little getaway house for a couple. About a 20 to 30 minute drive to Balcones Canyonlands Natural Wildlife Refuge. A simple, quiet place to relax after hiking. Great BBQ nearby in Liberty Hill at Agape BBQ.
The rental process was a breeze, and Michael had everything clean and perfect for our arrival! Very nice property with some short walking trails and plenty of sitting areas to enjoy nature. The cabin is just right for a couples getaway and we enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended.
Very easy and great experience. From booking to leaving. Great place to rejuvenate and relax. We love the many trails that were on the property. Will definitely go back.

Relaxing solo retreat
I will start off by saying that I really enjoyed my stay. Michael was great and, living on property, was able to respond very quickly to a small issue I had. I left very satisfied with my experiences interacting with Michael.
The property is several acres in an area that blends the line between rural and suburban. There are neighbors on either side, and you can definitely hear kids and dogs and roosters and people working outside on their property. So this is not a remote cabin by any means. The sound of motor vehicles was constant. People out there really like their throaty motorcycles and loud cars and trucks. I am particularly sensitive to these kinds of noises, so other people might not even notice.
The property has trails that wind through the cedar and oak trees. There are a couple of cool surprises on the trails. The pond isn’t too much to look at, but at night the critters that inhabit the area make all sorts of wonderful sounds. I enjoyed sitting out there at around midnight listening to the frogs making their crazy sounds.
The property is more or less a small private campground. There’s this cabin, and two RVs that appear also to be short term rentals. I had the place to myself on the first day, but some neighbors moved in to one of the RVs. There were trees blocking line of sight but I could definitely hear them easily. This wasn’t really a problem, but as cabins in the woods go, it’s not particularly private, remote, or quiet.
The cabin is very close to the main house—I would say maybe five or six car lengths away. However it faces a corner of the house and at no time did I feel encroached upon. I was left alone to enjoy my solo retreat.
The cabin itself is quite nice. It would be akin to a studio apartment. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen worked well, the bathroom was fine also. WiFi and tv worked well. The front porch is really nice for sitting outside and enjoying the evening. Finally, the grounds are really really well tended. Michael has some nice patches of thick beautiful wildflowers. There are multiple fire pits, including a small one in front of the cabin and a communal one. You can play horseshoes. You can sit above the pond. You can hang out and socialize with the other folks who may be staying there, if you are so inclined.
Owner was friendly, responded quickly when we had questions. Little house was super clean, had everything we needed. Wish we could stay a little longer.
