The Neighborhood:
Mountain Hideaway is situated on a peaceful street just one block away from the vibrant Main Street of Leadville, one of Colorado's most charming and historic towns. This magnificent mansion sits on seven city lots, providing a spacious and private oasis for your group to enjoy.
Just steps away from Mountain Hideaway, Main Street Leadville offers an array of fantastic activities and attractions for visitors. You can take a walking tour of the town's rich history, explore the local shops and boutiques, or dine at some of the area's best restaurants. The Silver Dollar Saloon, which was originally built in 1883, is a must-visit establishment for a drink and a taste of the town's mining history. The National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum is another popular attraction, showcasing the industry that made Leadville famous.
Outdoor enthusiasts will also appreciate the proximity to some of the best hiking, skiing, and snowboarding in the state. Ski Cooper and Copper Mountain are both just a short drive away, and the surrounding mountain ranges offer endless opportunities for exploration and adventure. If you're looking for a more leisurely experience, you can take a scenic drive on the Top of the Rockies Byway, which offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.

Getting Around:
Exploring the breathtaking mountains and charming town of Leadville is a true delight, and we want to make sure your journey is as smooth and comfortable as possible. The vast majority of our guests bring a car, as the majestic activities that await you in the mountains are a bit further away than a leisurely walk will allow. However, we're proud to share that you're within walking distance to pretty much anything within the main Downtown Area of Leadville, so if you're keen to explore the local shops, restaurants and attractions on foot, you're perfectly situated.
We understand the importance of a stress-free travel experience, which is why we offer plenty of free parking in our spacious parking lot - so you don't have to worry about navigating the tricky and expensive streets of Leadville.
If you're an electric vehicle owner, we've got you covered! We have two Tesla EV charging stations right here at Mountain Hideaway, completely free for our guests to use.
As for skiing and snowboarding, we're just a short drive away from some of the world's best ski resorts. Ski Cooper, with its family-friendly slopes, is only 10 miles away, while Copper Mountain is a quick 23-mile drive. If you're looking for more adventure, Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, and Breckenridge are all within 42 miles.
But that's not all - Leadville is also a hub for some of the most breathtaking hikes and 14ers in Colorado. The Mount Elbert, Mount Massive and Mount Sherman trailheads are all within a few miles of our mansion. And if you're seeking a relaxing day by the water, Turquoise Lake is only 5 miles away, while Twin Lakes is a scenic 20-mile drive.
So whether you're planning an action-packed adventure in the mountains or a peaceful getaway in the charming town of Leadville, Mountain Hideaway is the perfect place to call home.

About the host
Hosted by Traverse Hospitality

We (Alex & Nadim) are grateful to be able to offer an outdoor focused community to our guests up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. We both love rock climbing, hiking, biking, skiing and spending pretty much all of our free time outside; we were even crazy enough to run the Leadville 100. Our mission is to help as many people as possible discover the magic of the mountains...which is why we founded High Rocky Homes!
We're doing our best to make real estate and mountain access more affordable for EVERYONE!
For our real estate clients, we give half of our commission back to our buyers and sellers, saving them an average of $5,000. This helps our clients furnish a new home or simply reduces the high closing costs associated with buying or selling real estate.
For our property management clients, we offer a service that has no restrictive contracts, a lower commission model and superior performance. This means that more booking revenue goes back to our clients to offset the costs of their mountain homes.
For our guests, we've been working hard to offer more lodging accommodations that are clean, affordable, and full of great amenities set up for active people who want to enjoy the mountains for short or longer term stays!
