Very nice property, we would definitely stay there again. Chris, the owner, was very accommodating and genuine unlike typical management companies. This is a real gem in Leadville.

Another Wonderful Stay at RBL
Our family had a very enjoyable stay at RBL in Leadville (third time) for nine nights. This lovely home is very comfortable with many conveniences. It is nestled in the woods in a great location and has very nice views.
We had a great stay. House was warm and inviting. Beds are comfortable and plenty of parking. Very convenient to town and Aspen. Would stay again. Host is easy and quick answering any questions we had.
The Rocky Bear Lodge was an incredible stay for our family. Close to Leadville, Turqoise lake, easy access for all the Leadville racing events. We had a fantastic time and if we're ever back - we'll definitely be booking this place again. Thank you for hosting!
Great location to see a different part of CO in a less crowded more rural area but with great hikes, history, and hot spring. Small town history and no line waiting as in popular/populated areas. Beautiful home with starter supplies and kitchen to accommodate cooking meals for our family of 12! The owner Chris went out if his way to ease us through some last minute changes and resolved issues - much appreciated!

Great stay!
Our stay at Rocky Bear Lodge was great. We had 2 families and had plenty of room to hang out, play games, (our tweens/teens enjoyed the game selection), and watch tv.
We had fun snowshoeing and sledding on the 2 acres, and using the porch swing while drinking our coffee.
Leadville is very close, which is convenient, plus this lodge is quiet and feels secluded.
Great place - highly recommend. Owner was great and very willing to do anything to make sure I had a great trip. House was great! Had everything we needed. Comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Also - really appreciated having a modern TV so we could use it to screen mirror our race plans. Location couldn’t have been better - really close to town but also not in a crowded area. Grill was well taken care of and the kitchen had everything we needed to eat meals in with a big crowd. Humidifiers were a nice touch as well as it gets dry in CO. Highly recommend.

Pat, when it comes to the Leadville 100 and how demanding that race it is, I'm so glad we could be the ideal "Base Camp" for you. We try our best to consider everyone's need for an amazing stay. Congrats on getting that buckle!
Absolutely amazing! Chris was so helpful and quick to respond. The houses was beautifully decorate. So many little thoughtful amenities. We will definitely stay here next time we are un Leadville. Highly recommended

Perfect for the Wedding Weekend
What a great property and stay! Our son's wedding weekend which took place at The Freight - only a 2 mile drive apart. Couldn't have been better. The serenity of the property gave me a chance to fall back and regroup before engaging each pre wedding task before the big event - and then the quiet and calm afterwards - ahhhhh!

From the owner: "Suzanne, we're so glad we could make the special weekend even more memorable! We hope to see you again. Thank you for the review."
This property was located outside of Leadville. Property was full of trees that made you feel like the only house out there. The veiw from the upstairs balcony were beautiful! We had 8 adults and 4 children staying here for the week. It fit us all comfortably. Nice large dinning room and kitchen that was equipped with everything we needed to cook dinner every night. Keypad lock entry was very convenient. I highly recommend this property for large families.
This place is outstanding! Two thumbs way up - in fact if I could give it a 10 star I would. I brought my family out for a week before the Leadville Mountain bike race - which I raced in to earn the buckle. Central just a few minutes to town , very private spot and immaculate inside and out. We did all of our cooking / meals - everything there just like home. Super communication from the host Chris via text - awesome spot and we would book again in a heartbeat!

Love, love Rocky Bear Lodge
This was our adult family's second 10-day stay at RBL in Leadville and, once again, it was wonderful! Our family enjoys the scenic location and all the comforts of this lovely home. After an epic Leadville half marathon run in rain, wind, sleet and snow, (some hail the day before) we were eager to retreat to RBL for some rest and relaxation on the large swing and chairs on the back porch. During our stay, we also enjoyed hikes, serious mountain trail biking, runs around the lake, fishing and golf! Our family enjoyed preparing meals together, completing large puzzles and sitting on the porch steps in the beautiful weather having great conversations. It is always hard to leave RBL and our plans are to return next summer.

Awesome ski weekend
We stayed here for a father-son ski trip. Awesome house. Beautiful surroundings- set in the middle of the woods- we had 20" of fresh powder while we were there- winter wonderland! Loved the locale- so different than staying in a crowded townhome or condo at one of the big ski resorts. I've stayed at many vacation rentals- this one was top tier. Very thoughtful instructions and great communication from owner; very well equipped kitchen; comfortable bedrooms and living spaces. Easy drive to town and Ski Cooper. After full days skiing, when we got back to the house, the boys were building snow forts and sledding until it was too dark and time for dinner. Would love to come back.

Home Away From Home
What a spectacular place. Close to town, and very peaceful. We rented this for my son's wedding weekend, and it could not have been better. Large family room, nice bedrooms, well stocked kitchen and clean! We also loved the back porch. I would highly recommend this property to any family wanting to enjoy the mountains.
Rocky Bear was lovely. It was clean, well appointed, and in a great location. Plenty of space for gathering and spreading out. Rooms were comfortable and the home worked out great for our group of family and friends.

Amazing! Simply Breathtaking
Our first time as a family to ever book a cabin! The experience was really one of kind with an amazing view and comfortable household. Really recommend to anyone comfortably fit 11 people.
We were able to get our children and their children all together for a weekend of skiing at Copper Mountain. Rocky Bear lodge was the perfect accommodation for the 10 of us.
Our family traditionally stays in 4-5 Diamond hotels. Triple A Diamond rated properties must meet standards on Decor, Quality, Ammenities, and Hospitality. This home ranks highly on each count. In addition, it offers spaciousness, an excellent layout, beautifully appointed interiors, thoughtful (practical as well as luxurious) touches, stunning wooded homesite and a wonderful host.
