We’re glad you enjoyed this home's scenic view and beachside location, as we agree, this is quite the special seaside spot. However, we're disappointed to hear you didn't enjoy your stay at this home more. We never want that for any guest. We do want to clarify a few points for future guests. During your stay, a shower valve was accidentally damaged late in the evening which caused water to spray within the shower. As a precaution, you chose to turn the water off when not in use overnight, and we appreciated that. Our maintenance team arrived first thing the next morning and promptly completed the repair, restoring normal function. At no point was the home without running water. Regarding cleanliness, even in our sandy, salty, and humid location, especially those on the front row like this one, we always aim to meet a high standard. As you shared, we did offer to have our housekeeping crew return right away to address any concerns. We do understand you preferred not to have that interruption during your stay. While unexpected maintenance issues can occasionally arise in any home, we responded quickly and also provided compensation as a gesture of goodwill. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to do our best to ensure every guest has a smooth and enjoyable experience. Thank you for allowing us to host your island stay.

Given this home is direct beachfront with plenty of sand, salt, sea breezes and humidity (all great at the beach, lesser so in homes), each time you open the doors, in this case 3, these elements come right in. Not so great for carpeting, unfortunately. Our housekeeping team does their best, but we've passed along your feedback. We do hope to host you again!

Given this is a direct beachfront (sand, surf, salt, and sea breezes) location combined with the Village of Surfside's island water utilities, there can sometimes be a bit of an odor and also low water pressure. We do share this info upfront and is a known issue with the local utility water. We're sorry for any inconvenience, unfortunately just out of our control. We appreciate the feedback on the living area furnishings (we haven't heard that before), and we will make sure to replenish the pot holders. Thank you for letting us know.

Thank you Steve, it is quite the lovely seaside spot. We appreciate you noting! Regarding the shower, we are not aware of any issue with any of them and all seem to be operational when we checked. Perhaps you were expecting it to work another way? The ceiling fan in the primary bedroom has a pull chain to change the speed. Maybe the chain was caught up? In fact, we had the home professionally deep cleaned right before your stay hoping to make it extra nice. Upon our handyman checking the toilet upon your exit, he discovered, after having to break the toilet entirely apart, a brand new flashlight jammed into the toilet canal. He said if it had been in there for any length of time beyond a few days it would have started to rust. As you can imagine, that was frustrating for us and the owner as well.
