About this property

Eagle's Landing -Overlooking Fontana Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains Ntl Park

Eagle’s Landing is a 2 Bedroom/2 Full Bathroom,
1,345 (inc. Decks) sq ft cabin for rent on 12 acres in Bryson City, NC that overlooks Fontana Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This land is bordered on 3 sides by 600 acres of the Nantahala National Forest. Lake access and pontoon rentals are available just a few short minutes from the cabin.
Eagle’s Landing was designed and built by local artists and craftsmen with great attention to every detail. This is brand new construction with thoughtful furnishings that include one-of-a-kind artwork, decor and handmade furniture crafted by the owners. Be at peace knowing these homes are completely free of any toxic fragrances or chemical cleaners. There are no air fresheners, plug ins, scented candles, incense, commercial laundry soaps or fabric softeners. We wash all of the linens, shower curtains, bath mats etc. in house to insure they are cleaned without any toxic commercial soaps, stain removers, or bleach. We use non toxic cleaning supplies like Unscented Seventh Generation, BonAmi, BioKleen, peroxide, vinegar, and baking soda. This entire 12 acre property has NEVER been sprayed with pesticide. We are aware of how these toxic commercial fragrances have a burning effect on the nerves, can perpetuate a weakened immune system, deplete the nervous system, and cause several other chronic health symptoms. Rejoice in knowing that inside our homes and outside in the surrounding hundreds of acres of National Forest, clean air and oxygen are absorbed with every breath.
Voted one of the "Top Ten Outdoor Towns in the East" by Outdoor Magazine, one of the Smithsonian's "20 Best Small Towns to Visit in 2016", one of eight Small Towns Near Stunning Nature by Orbitz, and Trip Advisor ranked Bryson City as the #1 Beautiful Little Mountain Town in America!

Perfect Getaway
Our stay was absolutely perfect, from the directions up to home to the attention to detail once we were inside. We were a group of five and I so appreciate when there are enough seats for everyone to be comfortable. The home felt really spacious and well laid out, and the view from the deck was worth wrapping up with a blanket and a book to enjoy! There was local coffee stocked in the kitchen as well as menus for local restaurants. The starter supplies were generous, and you can tell the owner wants every guest to feel welcome and relaxed for their stay. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

My husband and I purchased 12 acres of land in 2013 surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Nantahala National Forest. Little did we know (for the thick pine saplings) that we had a Million Dollar View of a Horseshoe Bend on Fontana Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! It took viewing Google Maps to see what a gem we had found. We moved to Bryson City after selling our home and printing business in Fletcher NC (close to Asheville). My husband grew up in Bryson City, and I fell in love with this "Gateway to the Smokies" town when we built a house boat at Almond Boat Park in 2013, that now floats on Fontana Lake. We started building Eagle's Landing in Nov 2014 with the help of some great friends and a very talented builder.
This is a completely different lifestyle than we're used to, and we are incredibly Grateful for all the Love, Support, and Divine Miracles that We have been Blessed with along the way. Now we're ready to share Eagle's Landing with the world!

Why they chose this property

There's a Peace here that we've never felt before. This place is awe - inspiring. It almost forces you to stop in your tracks every time you look outside. We built Eagle's Landing to give our guests the feeling they were floating on water...and sometimes in clouds. From the Living Room and Master Bedroom there are French Doors that open out onto a 445 sq ft (partially covered) deck that extends out over top of Fontana Lake. From the theatrical morning sunrise to the day's last light, the show this magical place performs is ever changing and always jaw dropping.

What makes this property unique

Eagle’s Landing was designed and built by local artists and craftsmen with great attention to every detail. This cabin is not wheelchair accessible, however it is one level and designed to accommodate most anyone.
We call this cabin Eagle's Landing because Bald Eagles land in the pines just 10 feet away from the cabin deck. They're curious and feel very comfortable 'landing' so close to this cabin. It is an unforgettable experience.
