Family Fun
We had a ball the house was nice!!!!! It’s only thing the bathroom and the floor was not clean
We had a family get together with ages from 6 to 66 and it was great for everyone. Plenty of bedrooms spread out over the house. Loved the dock with part being covered and open, the swings and chairs and the TV and sound system were an added bonus. Great location for grocery and restaurants as well.
We had a wonderful time at lake Sinclair. The home was big, beautiful and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. There were plenty of rooms and bathrooms to accommodate our extended family. The location was perfect, in a quiet neighborhood, only 12 minutes to town, and right around the corner from the marina.
The dock was so nice. We spent so much family time out there together, swinging, talking and swimming in the lake.
The property manager was easy to reach, and quick to respond when needed.

Great Property
My family of 12 really enjoyed this house, even though the weather didn't cooperate. We had plenty of space to spread out or be together. The dock was the best part of the property in my opinion. There was more than enough room for the boys to fish while the girls laid out (the few hours of sun we had) and for the kids to swim. Caught some good size fish right off the dock also. Rooms were spacious and the property manager was great. Definitely would recommend this house to anyone.

Very Happy!
This house is huge! The bedrooms and sitting areas are plentiful and are well spread out. We had 16 family members staying there and everyone loved the house and having plenty of room. The dock is amazing and we enjoyed relaxing there in the afternoon/evening. When we arrived we realized the downstairs lakeside bedroom had no window covering and within 2 hours Melinda had that taken care of. We were very impressed! The balcony and bottom patio are nice, with lots of seating. The firepit, surrounded by chairs was also a great bonus. If you have lots of folks and want a great place to stay on the lake, this is it!!

Great Lake Sinclair House
Great place for a large group. Plenty of beds spread all around the house. Large tables for big group dining together. Pool table was great escape for kids late at night. The personalized ceiling tiles in the basement were a nice touch. Lots of fridge space from kitchen to basement to dock. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. Great location on the water with boat ramp and boat rentals within a mile. Deep water was great for swimming and fishing. Close to restaurants and grocery stores for the last minute items.

House was well suited for a large family group with small children. Well equipped
The house has well equipped kitchen, extra linens and very nice dock.
Only complaint is one trash bin for a large six bedroom house. Agent charged us an extra $100 because we over filled it after a five day stay. Really petty. Supply the house with two bins.

Beautiful Location, but Cleanliness Needs Improvement
This fun lake house is in a great location with accessibility to breathtaking views of the sunrise, sunset, and star-filled sky, however the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I’m not saying we’re clean freaks, but my family of 14 highly considered moving to a different property after the first night. We ultimately stuck through due to our short 4-night stay. We found thick dust on furniture, dead bugs throughout the house, and even a live insect found crawling in our bed. While the property manager was responsive, the offered solutions didn’t fully address our concerns. If cleanliness standards are improved, I believe this could be a much better rental experience

Hi Blenda, we want our guests to feel comfortable and at ease during their stay, so we take cleanliness concerns seriously. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The home was professionally cleaned before your arrival, but we will ensure extra attention to dusting and pre-stay checks.- Routine pest control is in place, though occasional bugs can appear in a lakeside setting. The property manager offered immediate solutions to your concerns, but these were politely declined.- Guest feedback is always valued, and we will continue working with our team to uphold high standards.Thank you for your insight, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again!
We were celebrating our 50th anniversary with our family of 13. The house was great, lots of room to spread out. We were short one bedroom due to water leak from frozen pipe. The property manager worked really hard to get it fixed so we could still come. Thanks so much for that. The basement with pool table was nice, but no heat down there. I would suggest some eclectic heaters for the bedrooms as it was unseasonably cold while we were there. We did a lot of cooking, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We had lots of fun and made wonderful memories with our children and grandchildren. Would love to stay again in the warmer seasons to enjoy the lake more.

This has potential for 5 stars.
Appliances were old and hard to work. Refridge slams open because of the slope of floor, also doesn't like to stay closed.
dishwasher top rack falls down on right side. TV remotes didn't work on lower level. Bbq is old and bottom is rotted out.
A house that sleeps 12 means a lot of cooking is happening.
Owner should invest in a rolling 30" or 36" gas or propane bbq. Really weak was that old charcoal bbq. One fan down by the dock didn't work. Nails sticking out of the wood stairs got a couple of people hurt.

Hi Brian, thanks for letting us know about your stay. After going over your feedback, the homeowner wanted to address the items that you mention:
-We always appreciate feedback, whether favorable or with suggestions for improvement.
-We have fixed the refrigerator door by leveling it.
-The dishwasher is brand new and we are unaware of any issues but will check and make the necessary adjustments if needed.
-We apologize if the were issues with the T.V remotes. Invariably remotes for different sets get strewn around the house. To avoid future confusion we have labeled each remote with its corresponding T.V.
-The main grilled offered is a classic charcoal Weber Grill that is 1 year old. We chose this option as the main grill for personal taste and have used it many times. To accommodate guests who prefer propane grills we have purchased a propane-operated Weber.
-Thank you for notifying us as we take the safety of our guests very seriously. We have corrected the basement stairs as well as replaced the fan on the dock.
-Summer months are busy and sometimes miss smaller issues with our home. If that happens we encourage our guests to reach out to us during their stay so we can properly address them to make their stay more enjoyable.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review as we are always working to provide each guest with a truly wonderful and memorable experience.

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The house was in a great location, very close to restaurants/grocery stores and it was nice to be on the open lake instead of in a cove. The house itself was large with enough space for our big group to spread out and not feel like we were on top of each other. The listing was not accurate. It said that there was a sofa bed in the basement, which there was not. We had to figure out different sleeping arrangements than we had planned. One of the basement toilets was out of order when we arrived. A plumber did eventually come out and the bathroom was partially usable for the duration of our stay. The house was incredibly dirty. I stay in lake houses and mountain houses every year and this was the worst by far in terms of cleanliness. When we showed up, the sinks were dirty, there was hair in all of the showers, and there was dirty underwear on the floor of one of the bedrooms; you couldn't walk around the house without the soles of your feet turning black. The cleaners were sent back out and "cleaned" for 10 minutes. We ended up having to purchase our own cleaning supplies and clean ourselves just so the house was livable. There are bugs everywhere. I understand that bugs are inevitable at a lake house, but this was out of control. There were ants and cobwebs all over the inside of the house. Pest control came out and we ended up purchasing our own ant traps as well, which kept the situation somewhat under control.I would definitely not stay here again.

Hi Lindsey, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the home's spaciousness and great lakefront location. After reviewing your comments, we followed up with the homeowner who wanted to provide some additional context:- The basement sleeper loveseat was upgraded to a larger sectional, offering the same sleeping capacity as listed.- Upon being notified about the toilet issue, a plumber was promptly scheduled to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.- The home was professionally cleaned prior to your stay, and cleaners returned upon request to address your concerns. They reported that they checked with your group to ensure all cleaning needs were met before departing.- Pest control treatments are conducted regularly; however, due to the home's lakeside setting, occasional insects may occur. An additional pest treatment was promptly arranged during your stay.We appreciate your feedback and apologize that your stay didn't meet expectations. We remain committed to providing a positive guest experience.

Graduation Weekend - Family Time
This home and property has tons of potential.....plenty of space for a large family.
We booked for our son's graduation weekend and had our family and best friends in attendance. There was more space than expected to spread out and enjoy time together. We played games inside and outside. Overall we enjoyed the time and the property.
I wish I had known that there were no toys available for us to use as the pictures alluded. (Canoes or kayaks, floats....)There were no floats or games for use on the property. The dock had some toys but they were filthy or in disarray. The dock did not appear to have been cleaned in well over a year. Cob webs, spiders, dried mud and dirt etc. Just filthy. There were no supplies to clean it or I would have. The radio system was covered in cobwebs .
The home was really dirty inside and out. Furniture had not been wiped down in a very long time......dead bugs on and around the light fixtures. Corners of rooms dirty....under and around furniture had not been swept or cleaned. There was white dog hair on the carpets. Tubs had dead bugs and caked soap that had dried from previous use. Two bathrooms were not operating well. Clogged toilet in one and one with no running water from one of the faucets. Exterior of home has no been power washed in a very long time. And is well overdue. We could not use the porch furniture until we cleaned it off.
We did not complain.....we did send a list of items that we felt the owners should be given to address as I am confident they could not know about these things.
We would rent again......we DID have a good time! I will simply be more prepared next time.

Response from VrboOwner on 6 July 2023
Hi Tami, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously! We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We're glad to hear you enjoyed your overall stay but disappointed to hear your stay didn't fully meet your expectations and want to take a moment to address your concerns.
- The property is thoroughly cleaned inside and outside at the beginning of every summer season. A few weeks before your stay, we did a number of things. The dock was pressure washed and restained. Other outside areas and furniture were also pressure washed. The interior was deep cleaned by our professional cleaners, which took them two full days. The master bath area was completely remodeled, and numerous beds and other furniture were replaced. We wish you had reached out to the guest contact to make us aware of your concerns during your stay. We would have promptly responded and been more than happy to help.
- Due to the location of our home, sitting directly on the lake it does come with bugs, spiders, snakes, and high winds that kick up dirt on everything outside. Even after cleaning, things like cobwebs, spiders, and dirt will be back within a matter of hours or days. We do our best to maintain the highest level of service offered by the local pest control company, which includes spraying inside and outside monthly.
- We take our listing accuracy seriously and do not advertise in our listing amenities or reflect in our listing photos that canoes, kayaks, floats, or other toys are available for our guests. We do however, have personal items in the dock storage closet including chairs, life jackets, floats, and fishing gear that our guests are welcome to use as a courtesy, but are not part of the rental agreement and are in as-is condition. Our family uses them regularly with no issues.
- As with any home, plumbing and other routine maintenance issues may arise occasionally. Where we cannot guarantee there will be no issues during our guest's stay such as these, we pride ourselves on promptly responding and addressing issues as quickly as possible when they do occur. We are aware that our property manager was very responsive to your concerns.
Thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you again!
The house was perfect for our family crew, ages 1-60 years. The third floor is quiet enough for naps of all ages. The dock and its amenities are amazing, the pool table room complete with bar area is so much fun. The large kitchen area is a super gathering place while the living room area is perfect for toddlers. We will return!
Great place to stay. A ton of room and very clean.
Very clean and spacious! We had a group of 12 of us. All adults. Everyone had a room and privacy. Only draw back was its really rough on boats at the dock bc it's on the main waterway. Other than that it's perfect!!
Very spacious property. Allowed my family to separate for personal space and yet be together. Being able to walk outside for a stroll or go down to the dock to fish listen to music dance on the dock and watch fireworks at night was just spectacular. Being able to use the grill was absolutely amazing. To me it was a vacation within a vacation. Truly enjoyed our stay! Can’t wait until we can do it again
Everything was awesome. So much care has gone into making this lake house a home. The dock/boathouse are perfect for fishing, boating, relaxing, music and conversation. Game room downstairs provided hours of fun. Everything we needed for a great reunion. Thank you for letting us enjoy your wonderful lake place.
We really enjoyed our stay for my husband’s 40th. We took 4 other couples and we had more than enough rooms and bathrooms. The layout is a little strange, but doesn’t affect the stay much. The bar area in the basement and dock area were the perfect spots for our group to hang out. The property manager, Melinda, was responsive and very easy to work with. We would definitely return.
