Mountain Thunder Lodge is one of the most luxurious condos in Breckenridge and at the great location. Nestled in pines only a couple blocks from Main Street where all of the dining and shopping is located. For the skiers, the lodge is ski in and ski out via the gondola which is just out the back door about 200 yards. The gondola provides fast and easy access from the condo to the heart of the ski area at the bases of Peak 7 and Peak 8 where you will find on-mountain dining, ski schools, rentals, etc, and several other lifts including the Independence SuperChair, the Rocky Mountain SuperChair and the Colorado Superchair.

The suite is located on the second floor in the sister build to the main lodge. It's facing West which is opposite of road to give you peace and quite. The pool is only steps away with views of it from your balcony. Your private equipment locker is on the fisrt floor only steps away.

For you stay, there is free and private underground parking. For added convenience, a free and private shuttle picks up at the front door to take you around town. Also, the Summit Stage, a free county wide bus system, stops across the street.

Keep in mind, the entire complex is non-smoking and does not allow pets. A new memory foam American Leather sofa was recently purchased.

Great Place

The only negative was the bathroom floor was very slick. Someone may have used sunscreen or some kind of oil. My wife got it relatively clean, but it is something the cleaners could look out for. Other than that, it is a great place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The unit was clean, well stocked with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, enjoyed the pool & hot tub! The unit does warm up during the day even with windows open so glad 2 fans were available! Also nice having the washer & dryer a few steps away!

Beautiful space

The space was beautiful but I would consider this a ski in - not a ski out. You had to take a shuttle to the lifts. Shuttle was fast and efficient though.

Perfect location -unit close to gondola and town!

This unit had everything we needed for a short getaway. Great location. The unit was clean and well furnished. On the negative side, there was really no way to regulate the heat. We turned it all the way down, but still had to open the window to get the temperature below 74. The other comment I would make is the bedroom is very dark and only has one lamp. An additional lamp would be helpful. Other than these two issues, everything else was perfect!

Mountain Thunder - Wonderful

We loved our stay at Mountain Thunder Lodge. It is within walking distance to dining, shopping and gondola. The swimming pool and hot tubs are great. The property is well maintained and well managed. I highly recommend it.

Quick trip to Breck

This condo was just the right size with everything we could need. It’s very close to downtown and all the shopping and restaurants. We do this every June but it was the first time we stayed in this property. For two it was perfect and affordable

Everything We Needed!

We love staying at Mountain Thunder! It's our favorite spot in Breck! This condo was well appointed and had everything we needed. Even Tide pods! We love the hreat location a block from downtown for an easy walk. Also love the pool and hot tubs. Will definitely be back!

Perfect ski trip location

We had a great stay for some late season spring skiing. The 4 O’Clock run was still open in mid April so we were able to ski right down to the condo at the end of the day and we walked the few minutes to the gondola to start our day. Nice unit with comfortable beds and it was well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed the hot tub and heated pool after a long day of skiing, and the underground heated garage was nice. Walkable to Main Street or a quick drive to anywhere in Breck.

Breckenridge Condo

From the minute, we walked in we knew we liked our condo! The management company was exceptionally helpful! The hot tub and pool were well-maintained. Very convenient to Town and a few options for getting on the slopes. A short walk to the gondola or just go out front and catch the bus that comes every 15 minutes! The kind of itself was very well appointed and it was really nice to have a porch overlooking the pool.

Lovely unit

This is a very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated 1-bedroom condo. Everything worked and there were a few touches that were above expectations (sharp knives for cooking!). I take issue with the description of ski-in/ski-out: ski-in is pretty close, maybe a 50-yard walk from the trail end. There is no ski out. It's a walk to the Gondola, going down 2 full flights of stairs to the tunnel under the street, and 2 flights back up on the other side of the street. Then it's the equivalent of a 2 block walk to the gondola. I used the ski check at the base of Peak 8 so I wouldn't have to make the slog each morning. The washer/dryer is not in the unit proper, it's across the hall.

Great place, but prepare for a few inconveniences

Accurate listing, the place is furnished nicely and comfortably (we liked the bear theme throughout). The location is quiet as is the room itself, we barely heard anybody else.The gondola and Breckenridge Station are a few minutes walk through an underpass, convenient to get on the mountain and to the shuttles to other mountains. Main Street is about the same distance, everything is very walkable, no car needed. The only downside is the friction between the third-party management company for the apartment and Mountain Thunder Lodge staff. Keys have to be picked up off-site, and front-desk refuses to do anything since they don’t manage the apartment. That means no luggage storage, and to get access to the ski locker we had to call the management company who in turn called maintenance for us. They also ask you to clean up and take out the trash before departure. Otherwise we had a great stay and can highly recommended this place.
