The front of Heron Cove is deceptive—it looks like a very pretty home in a residential neighborhood near Devils Lake. But it’s really a luxurious single-story palace sited on a gorgeous arm of the lake, with a yard opening to a slough vibrant with birdsong, reedy grasses and lily pads. A sunroom in the home puts you in a cushy armchair with a full view of the water so you can enjoy the swoop of swallows, the trill of blackbirds and the sight of deer grazing in the slough. The home is beautifully appointed, with hardwood floors, luxury furniture, welcoming decor, a dining room that seats ten, and a gorgeous custom kitchen with granite counters. The bedrooms have luxury linens and the baths are exquisitely tiled. A family room with a gas fireplace and large flat-screen TV/DVD adjoins the kitchen, while the sunroom provides extra space for quiet conversation. Outdoors a deck, dining table, patio furniture, barbecue, and a little boardwalk on the slough will entertain adults and children alike. Just a short walk to Sand Point Park for family swimming! If you are coming to the coast to crab in Siletz Bay, fish on the Siletz River, or boat around on Devils Lake, bring your boat, Heron Cove has off-street parking for your boat and vehicle! Very pleasant and peaceful place

Nicely updated home in a quiet neighborhood. Very clean and has a great backyard that looks out at a large green space before the lake starts. Enjoyed eating out on the big deck and making s'mores around the fire pit. When we made the reservation under amenities it listed that it had a hot tub but it does not. We would stay there again in the future.

Peaceful Retreat

Hard to leave such a relaxing home. We enjoyed the outdoor firepit and the quiet surroundings with a lot of wildlife around us. As a Disney Vacation Club member, my hotel stays are gauged against the Disney Standard and this home surpassed expectations! We would definitely stay here again.

Devil's Lake cozy getaway

This house was beautifully decorated and had multiple seating areas both inside and outside to either hang with friends or have a quiet moment alone. The kitchen was well-stocked and spacious. I would highly recommend this rental. So peaceful and serene!

Beautiful home but moldy windows

The home was beautiful and had enough space for all of us. The outside fireplace area wonderful. The neighborhood was quiet and topically clean. Overall really loved the house. Unfortunately, we called ahead to have the house checked for mold since one of our quest, the main reason we were staying, has a severe allergy to mold. We know the coast can have issues with mold which is why always we reach out before booking. They couldn't guarantee there was no mold since they don't check on the properties but their house keeping does. It was frustrating when we got there and there was in fact, black mold in almost all the windows. We went to Oregon to spread ashes of a loved one and couldn't all be together because of this. We were only here for two nights and didn't want to waste a day of house keeping coming to clean it, so we did our best. The property management will most likely need to do actual mold remediation to correct the problem. I would recommend this place to others who don't have an allergy or are sensitive to mold.

Beautiful and Spacious Home

Loved our stay here, lots of space, places to rest and talk with family. Good location to head either direction to ocean beaches, casino and shopping or just walk to the lake down the street. Especially loved the sun room with lots of light, furniture and views.

Lovely getaway

Nice change of scenery watching the daily habits of the water fowl and taking walks around the loop. Calm atmosphere, my teenage artist loved sitting on the little dock and sketching while we soaked up a little bit of sun by the fire pit.

Loved the house, and the backyard setting is just gorgeous. Enjoyed the views, birds, nature, firepit, cornhole, etc. Walks around the loop to the lake - Great place to stay!

Family Beach vacation

We love Heron Cove. The patio area is so private and love that it backs up to such a large green space and enjoy viewing Devil's Lake in the distance. The kitchen is very well stocked. The kids loved that it is so close to the lake and swimming area. Any questions we had were anwered right away and we didn't have very many. The only negative is that the queen bed in the 2nd bedroom is VERY uncomfortable and we hope the mattress can be upgraded because we would love to come again.

Heron Cove Getaway

The master bedroom mattress and box springs are abnormally high from the floor and dangerous. I am 5' 6" tall and had difficulty getting onto the bed. When I tried to get off the bed I fell and hit my head on a metal night stand. I was not asleep, only resting around 5:30 pm in full daylight so it could have been much worse had it been dark in the room. Immediately a large lump or hematoma formed on the side of my head. My room mates helped me off the floor and put ice on the lump. The next morning my primary care physicians nurse texted a list of warning signs for a brain bleed and recommended a CAT scan. The emergency room CAT scan showed no signs of a brain bleed or clot. I had a huge black eye and swelling in the tissue below. The nurse said it was normal as the blood from the hematoma was following gravity and draining downward into the tissue around my eye and would eventually be absorbed. After the accident I stood next to the bed and the top of the mattress was just beneath the top of my hip bone about 34" from the floor. According to google 25" from the floor is the normal mattress height. I reported this incident to Meredith Lodging, property management for this rental so the owners can correct this unsafe condition.

Relaxing with friends

We all loved the house it was a beautifully decorated. The only thing we could say negative is the couches are needing replaced. The Hide a bed hide a bed was the most needed to be replaced. The master bedroom was wonderful. The other beds were so so. I really hate to say anything bad because over all it was very nice.

Family Beach Trip

Really lovely property with a beautiful lake view. Felt very private even though we could hear some traffic on the nearby road. We enjoyed watching the lake wildlife (mostly ducks) and even noticed a couple of deer visiting the lake. Check in/out was very easy. The house had everything we needed. Beach and town were a short drive away. We would book again.

Weekend getaway

The house is charming and we felt very relaxed. The outdoor space is very nice lots of seating and lovely large firepit. We were able to roast marshmallows the first night since there was no rain. The sun room was just gorgeous we did lots of bird and nature watching. Kitchen well stocked with cooking items however no extras like spices, salt and pepper, oil, bring your own. Short drive into town to explore. Would stay again.
