Great for Families
Amazing views and a great house for families. Close to town in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of wildlife. Plenty of firewood available for our cool nights. Ping pong table in the garage was a nice touch. The owner was courteous enough to allow an early check in; he was easy to communicate with, too. I would recommend people to book this house, you won’t be disappointed.
Mountain view was amazing hot tub was perfect place was very clean only a few details the breakers in the kitchen need to be upgraded we had the breaker jump several times and the shower head downstairs was broken needs to be replaced but nothing to keep us from having a great time host replied very quickly.
Very beautiful clean and so cozy!!!! This spot has something to do for children of all ages. And for us adults the scenery will take your breath away as u look down at the valley from up high!!! Love this place our second time there and cant wait for our third. Definitely coming back!!!
The spacious cabin with the in-law suite was big enough for my family of 5, and a few members of our extended family. Location is incredible! It's in a central place to be able to visit Carlsbad Caverns, White Sands, go horseback riding, and tour the quaint shops downtown. The host was kind and extremely responsive. Let us know right away about possible bear visits. They left feed in the garage for the multiple deer friends we made. Disks were left for our use at White Sands. The ping pong, and pool tables were used with much frequency, as was the hot tub! Wild turkeys, Elk, and horses were a frequent site in the neighborhood and it's surrounding. We were sad to leave.
The location is perfect and the view from the back deck was absolutely amazing. We really and truly enjoyed our stay, The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood , is peaceful, and the scenery was beautiful. The wildlife that comes by for a quick snack on a daily basis was a real treat for our children and grandchildren to see. The essential amenities such as eating utensils, pots and pans, and plates were provided, and we didn’t need anything extra. Overall, the house was perfect for our family outing and we would definitely stay here again for our next Ruidoso visit. Special thanks to the owners of the house for being so accommodating and for providing us with an outstanding experience.
The house in whole was nice. Only problems was separate living quarters was outside downstairs, so lots climbing stairs , plus that place needed be touched up. Dead flies an spiders. Upstairs game room had separate bed in closet which was awkward. Over all a nice quite neighborhood
Location was good and terrific views but all the windowsWe’re so dirty not worth looking out. Proper
Property was very poorly maintained rails on decks are in very bad condition and very unsafe. House advertising great views but all the windows were so dirty not worth looking out. We had no water upon arrival and no tv the whole time we were there. Outside was not clean and steps going to front door again poorly maintained and unsafe. I would not recommend location at all.

Hi Leslie, the homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following: Once we were made aware of the rails, we inspected them and confirm that they are stable and functional for guest use. Due to recent fires, wind, and storms, the screens can have some debris on them at times but the windows are clean. Unfortunately with the incident when the water main broke, this was out of our control but addressed it right away to have it fixed as soon as we could. The TV does function well, guests just need to ensure it's set to the proper input setting. We sincerely apologize about the front door steps as they were used often by many people and it was raining all week during the stay. A refund was given for the issues. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

The cabin is awesome as well as the owner, he is very friendly! But there were few things we noticed after arriving:
1. The bed sheaths on secondary rooms were dirty. They smell bad in both beds. Needed to change them next day.
2. There were no towels available in the drawers, the last day someone from our group find them in the dryer.
3. The fridge didn’t cool down regularly. It took much time to cool down. (But it works).
4. In the separate room downstairs there were mice poop in the drawers.
4. The big grill shown is not in there just the small one.
5. The bonfire outside didn’t work. We couldn’t turn it on.
Overall, the cabin it’s very functional and it’s beautiful, these are recommendations to improve next rentals. This cabin it’s super fun, we enjoyed a lot the ping pong board and the living room!

Nice cabin and view but bad experience
This is a very nice cabin with a fantastic view. Some words of warning for potential guests: The main cabin has 3 real bedrooms and a large closet with a double bed and twin fold-away (but no other furniture and no direct heating source). The master bedroom is huge and it has its own set of stairs and separate heating. There is a separate mini-house accessible through an outside set of stairs with a bedroom and mini kitchen. We could not figure out if it had a separate source of heating but it was very cold so we did not use it.
Unfortunately, our visit was spoiled by the presence of at least one mouse in the cabin (we were assured that it was a recent arrival, which did not make our 2 night stay any better). We saw it a couple of times and found mouse droppings in the kitchen cabinets and drawers (had to put all of our food away, tried not to use kitchen utensils and had to pre-wash everything very well). Purchased mouse traps on our dime and were told that we could not get reimbursed. They could not find us alternate lodging, we would've had to go to a hotel, which was not an option for our big family. Even though the cabin is very nice, I've had much better experiences in Ruidoso.

Maria, we're sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay and we appreciate your feedback. Evolve takes the accuracy of our listings seriously - it's one of our 4 Core Property Standards! We only use professional photographers so we can be sure that our images accurately reflect each property. Additionally, we understand the homeowner promptly responded to the report of mice in the home and dispatched their local property manager to set traps and inspect the property. They work closely with a pest control company and will ensure all necessary steps are taken to ensure that no other guests share your experience.
This is the first the owner is hearing of the heating issue or the mouse traps and wishes you would have reached out to them - they and their property manager would have been happy to help and come to an agreeable solution. We're confident that we and the owner went to generous measures to make things right, but we never heard back from you. As is evidenced by the many great reviews, these owners are accustomed to providing exceptional experiences, and we feel confident that future guests will be delighted. Best, the Evolve Team

Breathtaking views
Beautiful cozy home with beautiful views all around. The home was stocked with many kitchen utensils and gadgets you could possibly need. Home also provided trash bags among other toiletries which is always so very helpful. Our family loved having the game room along with the hot tub. We had so much fun! Enjoyed the beautiful views, the smell of pine trees and watching all the beautiful wildlife. We most definitely will be back.
It was so nice to go and get some pine fresh air, house was nice and clean good amount of space for the 16 of us (7 adults n 8 children) we enjoyed looking over the town while around the kitchen table either eating or playing games. The master bed and bath had an amazing view as well and was absolutely the best for the infant to sleep cause no noise could be heard up there. The loft was the best hang out place for the other kids, and the closet with bed was really just a small bedroom, they also had extra cots for us to use. Over all a great experience.
The house was everything we thought it would be! Plenty of room, plenty of toys….pool table, ping pong table, card table, hot tub! We really enjoyed ourselves! Thank you!
This was a great property with plenty of space for two family’s! The Mountain View and large back deck was wonderful! The ownerTex was easy to communicate with and quick to reply when we had questions!
This home was very cozy and felt like home away from home. The master bedroom and outdoor balcony had an awesome view. Our family had lots to do, play pool, enjoy the the rain and hot tub. I really recommend this home.
Beautiful Property with great views and plenty of space
We really enjoyed our stay, the house was really spacious with beautiful views. We really enjoyed all the wildlife around the house, we had deer, turkeys and even wild horses stopped by the house and visit. The property host was really great. He was very attentive and great communication, he provided feed for the animals and gave us suggestions on when to feed to make sure you get to see deer. All
In all a great 1st time experience in Ruidoso and in part this property made it happen I will definitely recommend it. Thank you Mr. Tex
Had an awesome stay here! View and patio are really nice! Plenty of room, utilized the pool and ping pong table even played some corn hole! Definitely would recommend for a group vacation!
