Phil’s Place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Phil’s place. It was as described and had everything that we needed. It was an easy walk into town, even for 4 seniors! The hosts were quick to respond for easy entry and any questions. We would definitely return.

A week at Phils Place

We had a lovely week staying at this apartment. It was clean and cool with plenty of room. Working out how to use the stove was a little tricky though. The property had great security, which gave us peace of mind. I would certainly rcommend a stay here, if your looking for a quiet place, close to shopping centre and marina.

Flexible and helpful

Big thanks to Maddy and Michelle for helping make our stay so easy. Communication was excellent from booking, through to good tips on getting organized for our following weeks boating. Help with storing our luggage and a little extra time to check out made our food planning and storage a breeze. The apartment was super clean and tidy with lovely local artworks displayed on the walls. This was a fabulous place to stay, being an easy walk to everything we needed.

The lounge, dining and balcony are the true stars of this apartment. Art painted by a local artist adorns the wall which gives it a lovely homey-but-on-holiday feel. The location is very central and an easy walk into town. It was a great place to stay. What let down our stay was the lack of communication and ineptitude of the booking agent. We were meant to stay elsewhere and had it booked for 2 years only to get a call 2 weeks out to say it had been cancelled and that it wasn’t their problem to help us find somewhere else. That did appear to be just one person as someone else at Whitsunday Holiday Rentals helped us book another spot and was lovely. I’d almost forgiven their earlier transgression when I received 5 phone calls from different members of the rental agency requesting payment when I had proactively already called and been told the payment system was down and not to worry as it could be sorted on arrival. This after paying the full amount owing for the other property and being refunded. It was so frustrating. Then, when we arrived, that frustration melted away. How could it not in Airlie Beach? Whitsunday Holiday Rentals - please improve your communication to customers. You’re the lucky host to so many great properties and it was so disappointing to go through such a rigmarole.

Cant thank the staff enough who were so helpful when we had a disaster and were stuck in the airport for hours they went out to get us groceries to leave in the apartment. Also on hand the whole time with any questions we had. Would love to come back!

Airlie apartment

The property was clean and beautiful. A few disappointing issues that took away from our stay were, there was no air-conditioning in the second bedroom. The ensuit door handle was broken. The pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable it had springs sticking in to your back and there was no way 2 people could sleep on it as it dipped very badly and we only had a 5 year old and 11 year old on it. The main bed was very rolly to the middle also. The dishwasher was is an accident waiting to happen, when the door is fully open the whole thing falls forward and can crush a foot. The baskets roll out and when its full this is is even more dangerous. The pool was great, nice and roomy for the whole family and other quests. The apartment was Homely and a nice place to stay despite the above issues.
