We love Casa Paloma. The home is so comfortable just perfect for the two of us. Paula, the owner was very welcoming and helpful. We want to stay in this lovely home every time we visit San Diego.
Casa Paloma is a lovely hideaway in a great neighborhood close to everything. We really enjoyed the lovely spaces and furnishings in the house and the fact that the hosts had provided us with everything we would need for our stay. The check/check out process was easy and the hosts provided detailed information about the house and how things worked as well as about the city and things to do. We highly recommend it and hope to stay here again when we visit San Diego.
My husband and I stayed here for two weeks, and it was a lovely experience from start to finish. The house is charming, it really is close to attractions & restaurants, and the courtyard really is enchanting! (A gurgling Spanish-style fountain and hummingbirds flitting about put it over the top!) The very thoughtful hosts (great guidebook in house) were both proactive and responsive. Street parking was available close to, if not in front of, the house, except for one night when someone was having a party. Even then, it was a short walk away. I had worried about airplane noise given the proximity to the airport, but it was only loud one day when the wind shifted. (The main airport has a curfew; no flights in or out after 11:30pm or before 6:30am, we heard from a tour guide.) We hope to return!
Casa Paloma was incredibly well stocked and comfortable with a zen fountain in the backyard, helping us relax and feel safe and sound on our vacation. We'll be back again for sure!

We are looking forward to seeing you the next time your travel plans bring you back to San Diego!!
Stayed here with my family (adults and kids) and it was excellent! It had everything we needed and more. The owners are very kind. Place is even larger than it appears. Though this home is in front of the owners home, they make sure to give privacy. We would definitely stay again!

Glad to read you enjoyed your stay at Casa Paloma!! Let us know the next time your travels bring you back to San Diego!
This is our second time at the property and we loved it again. The home is very charming and conveniently located. It really feels like the owner has thought through everything a guest might want during their stay. We had our infant and toddler with us this time and the house worked well for our family of 4.
Excellent Home with convenient location for all San Diego
The house was a perfect location in San Deigo. Everything we needed for a beach trip or zoo visit was accessible at the house. Our stay was relaxing and was great for quality family time. Everything was well organized and labeled for guests. We highly recommend Casa Paloma!
The home is even better in person, in a great location close to all that San Diego has to offer, very responsive property manager, home was immaculately clean, infant accessories were provided so we didn't have to worry about packing big items, and the host furnished the home with plenty of basic supplies like towels/toilet paper/beach gear/paper towels/shampoo/conditioner/body wash - all were easy to find and labeled. We will definitely make this home our regular vacation spot!

Thank you for the kind review!!! We look forward to hosting your next visit to San Diego.
This lovely home fit us perfectly: Well-equipped kitchen, plenty of comfortable spots to relax, and a beautiful back yard. The location at the end of a cul de sac meant no traffic noise and easy parking. And we were close enough to dine, shop, and enjoy Hillcrest/San Diego when we wanted.
Rented the property for 5 day stay in San Diego as a family of 4 with 2 elementary school age kids. The house was clean and had everything you could want for the stay. Plenty of room for our family and was convenient to all the things we were looking to do.
It is located ona quiet cul-de-sac and we looked the outdoor space to enjoy our morning coffee or read our books in the morning.
This home was beautiful, with so many little touches to make it perfect. it was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked, there were games available to play, the master closet had baby and beach items available for use. The thing we liked best was the incredible garden in the backyard. We ate breakfast and dinner out there on several days.. My daughter who is sick with cancer said that it was her quiet oasis. The location is very near to many of the tourist sites and the airport in a quiet neighborhood. Parking is on the street. We would highly recommend this home and would like to return some day.
We stayed here for 5 nights in May and it was delightful. The property is attractive and comfortable and well furnished. The courtyard in back of the house is a joy, with good seating, wonderful foliage and a lovely fountain that draws hummingbirds and goldfinches. The kitchen is large, well organized and well stocked with cooking utensils. Travel around SD by car was easy from the location and while the cul de sac can get full of parked cars we always found a spot for our rental. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and can heartily recommend it.
Cute house in a great neighborhood. The owners have thought through nearly every detail, so we needed nothing from them. The house is in great condition and the landscaping is very pretty. Parking in the street was pretty easy. The neighborhood was quiet. This was our first positive short term rental stay in awhile so thanks to the hosts!

We loved hosting your stay and hope to see you again soon!!
We stayed at this lovely home for almost two months to escape the desert heat and it was a perfect place to do that! This is a charming, well-maintained older home in a very quiet neighborhood. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is stocked to cook. The owners live right behind the house so help is readily at hand if needed (but we never needed it). It is within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The wrap-around patio is beautiful and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the San Diego weather.
We loved this cozy home. They went the extra mile by supply poinsettias and other Christmas decor. We met family in San Diego to share a day of Christmas celebrations and this home had everything we needed. Everyone Loved it and made comments about how nice, cozy and clean this home is. Home owners were very helpful and really quite lovely. Thank you! Will come back and stay again for sure.

We loved hosting your family and hope you come back the next time your travels bring you to San Diego. Paula
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Paloma! We stayed for a week and had everything that you would need to feel right at home for a week. They have thought about everything, including leaving the local grocery store discount card which was quite beneficial. The location is great as we weren’t further than 20 mins from any major landmark. It was a very quiet no outlet street with street parking right outside your secured entryway. The private courtyard was quite peaceful! We would absolutely stay here again should we find ourselves back in San Diego!
My family and I stayed at Casa Paloma for a whole month, and it was an amazing month! We typically live in north county San Diego, and used this as a little family "stay-cation" to enjoy & explore all the sights in Balboa park, downtown, and the waterfront. The location of Casa Paloma is PERFECT for this! Also, Paula and Keith are wonderful hosts who made us feel so welcome. They both gave us privacy but also were available anytime we had a question or needed help. Do yourself a favor and book this fantastic property! :)

We LOVED hosting Julian (and family) for their month-long visit to Mission Hills, San Diego. They were very ideal guests and we look forward to hosting their next visit to Casa Paloma! If the family decides to relocate to Mission Hills, we welcome them as neighbors!
We always asks our guests how we can improve their experience and we want to share special thanks for their heads up to restock basic first aid kit supplies (such as Band-Aids). We take guest feedback seriously and purchased a brand new “American Red Cross 358 Piece First Aid Kit” fully stocked for future guests, and will keep a better eye when supplies run low.
We appreciate guests who are not afraid to give us such honest and valuable feedback as we believe in “continuous improvement”. So many of our upgrades over the last nine years (installing a new air conditioning unit, or buying a French coffee press, grapefruit spoons, egg cups, additional seating in the living room, better Wifi to reach the courtyard, and new mattresses) were suggestions of our pasts guests and we LOVE the feedback! We aim for perfection and always welcome suggestions for improvements.
Five Stars all around for this wonderful family!
