Ocean’s Edge is both welcoming and comfortable – an ideal retreat for family reunions and retreats with friends. Aside from its ideal location, the home features a gorgeous, custom, eat-in kitchen. With high quality finishes and appliances, a well thought out design including two sinks and a large, solid wood butcher block island, this kitchen is a joy for any chef to cook in. Gather around the kitchen island or dining room table to share stories and a delicious meal with a stunning, Oregon Coast sunset serving as your backdrop.

The finishes throughout the rest of the home were designed to bring in and maximize the beauty of the coast with vaulted wood ceilings, large windows that fill the rooms with natural light and a cozy wood burning fireplace for added warmth and charm. The den is perfectly outfitted for movie nights with the family or catching a game on the 47” flat screen HDTV and DVD player. Entertaining is made easy here with ample seating and a custom wood bar. There are four very comfortable bedrooms, each appointed with quality bedding and charming coastal décor.

Gorgeous Location, But Home Needs Some Updates

The location of this rental is absolutely breathtaking — you truly can’t beat the view. The home itself was clean and had everything we needed, but it is definitely outdated and could use some updates, especially the furniture and bedding. For the price, we were expecting a bit more in terms of modern amenities and overall comfort. It would have also been nice to have beach chairs and some beach toys available for guest use. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but a few upgrades would make this property feel more aligned with its cost.

There was two minus tides allowing us access around the point! The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable, sheets are soft & clean. Would recommend to anyone, much enjoyed our time!

We love me our stay! Parking was the only downside. It said 3 cars max and we had a hard time parking 2 vehicles. Hard to get in and out sometimes. Wish there was another tv in a comfortable spot. Loved the kitchen and patio! One room had low ceilings (slanted). Great view! Beach access was great, just hard once rope railing ended at bottom. Loved our memories!

The staircase leading down to the beach was cement/stone so it was in great condition. We had a fire pit with seating, it was perfect! The house itself was stocked with all appliances we needed. The home was in good condition. The only issue I glad was the door to the queen bedroom, at first we couldn't find the room, then we had a few issues with the door locking. Otherwise it was a great stay on the beach.

Enjoyed a Lovely Friends Weekend @ Roads End

The home was well stocked and comfortable. The shower heads and water pressure were awesome! Everything was in good repair. We appreciated the staircase to the beach! Although the outdoor patio area is very small - the furniture was comfortable and abundant. Parking is tight - but we did manage to accommodate 4 cars (2 in drive and 2 along street). Unfortunately, the fridge although it appeared sparkling clean had an awful fish odor that filled the downstairs each time the door was opened. We tried, but were unable to eliminate with additional cleaning and air freshening. Even with the fridge, the perks were great and 5 of us are unanimous in agreeing that we'll be back!

The view was fantastic and just what I was hoping for. Thank you for placing the couch and wingback chair right in front of the windows in the dining area. We were so happy with the smaller table and just being able to curl up and read while watching the ocean. The beach access is fantastic. Even the littlest of our kids were able to make it down without any trouble. There were just a few minor things to report with the kitchen: The white toaster does not work. The icemaker was also not working, though there was some ice in it when we arrived, it was stale and tasted bad. We tried to get it restarted to no avail. In addition, the burners on the left side of the stove would not light. Otherwise, everything was ship shape. We will certainly come back!

Meridith Lodging LLC

To start VRBO has management companies that handle the actual rental property you rent. VRBO has a guarantee that your property is what is listed and clean. We have booked with VRBO many times and the property was then handled by HomeAway now with Meridith. I have had a problem two times with homes book with HomeAway out of many over the years. HomeAway both time's moved us and I would pay whatever it took to help solve a problem they didn't know about. Meridith refused to help move me only if I would pay for both rental locations. I will let you be the judge of our rental location. When we arrived we could not get in because the door lock was not working. After phone calls they remotely opened it to let us in. They said that the maintenance person would come over a fix it and I would not be able to leave till they did. We started to move in when discovered that the property had not been cleaned. Food, finger prints on all the appliances and spilled drink ever where. My wife started cleaning up not moving in having family showing up. After fourth five minutes, no maintenance person and discovered the beds where not changed l called back to see if I could be moved do to the problems and was told they would call the maintenance person, have housekeeping come by tomorrow if I want. I requested to be moved again and was asked do you want to make a new reservation. Then I asked what she meant and said I would have to pay for this location and rent a new one because they were all privately owned than people have personal different preference. Two hours later we had the man show up to fix the door. I had to help him find the remote signal box they hide. Took us a half hour. After several times it would not reset/work, he gave me the only key they had for the property and my wife read in the home guests log book that since August they have been having problems with they lock? I called back and complained and was offered cleaning to come over the next day. I reminded them I had the only key and that would require me to wait for cleaning people and waste more of my family time for our Christmas Vacation. The next day a person reaches out to me and asked how it was going and reviewed what had take place and she asked if I would take pictures and send them, more of my time. Told her I would and also told her both my wife a child was itching from the bed last night. After I sent the photos I was give 90 refund. It was never about money!
