About this property
Walk to town 39B Alpine Chalet
Set within the same well-positioned chalet building as 39A on Lomond Crescent, 39B is a characterful alpine apartment with painted timber beams, lake and mountain views, and direct access to the Ben Lomond walking and biking trail from the front door. It shares the same elevated position above central Queenstown and the same easy connection to everything the town has to offer, while operating as a fully self-contained apartment with its own entry, deck, and outdoor space.
Two bedrooms sleep five, with crisp white linen and electric blankets on every bed - a detail that matters in Queenstown where the evenings can turn cold quickly regardless of the season. The full kitchen means cooking in is a genuine option rather than an afterthought, and the painted timber beams throughout give the interior an alpine warmth that feels right for the setting. One well-appointed bathroom services the apartment.
Outside, the private deck and patio extend the living space naturally and make the most of the outlook over Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables. It is the kind of spot where you find yourself sitting longer than planned, whether that is over a morning coffee or an evening drink as the light fades across the mountains.
Central Queenstown is a short walk away, with the lakefront, Steamer Wharf, restaurants, bars, and the gondola base all easily reached on foot. The Ben Lomond Trail from the doorstep is a genuine advantage for walkers and mountain bikers wanting to get into the hills without driving anywhere. Coronet Peak is around 30 minutes by car and The Remarkables approximately 40 minutes. Free off-street parking is included.
39B suits couples, small families, or a group of friends who want alpine character, a proper kitchen, outdoor space, and a location that works for both activity and relaxation. For larger groups, 39A within the same building is available separately.
Free Wi-Fi and off-street parking are included.

Beautiful view, lovely outdoor area to enjoy it. Everything you need for a lovely holiday in Queenstown. Walking distance to town as long as you don’t mind a few uphill bits.

Thank you for your review. Hopefully we will see you again.
Classic updated mountain chalet experience with awesome views, 10-minute trail hike out the back door to beautiful waterfall and canyon, and 5-10-minute walk to waterfront bars and restaurants, and stores. I stayed a month and enjoyed the entire experience.

Super Guest!! Thanks for staying with us and we are thrilled you loved our spectacular chalet with the even more spectacular view! Cheers!!!
Great views, and a short walk into the town centre or the lakeshore.
Clean and comfortable and nicer than the photos.
The driveways is exciting if someone’s coming the opposite way!
5 minutes with an Allan key and the shower screen door could be fixed.

My shoes were left behind and they claimed they didn’t find them.
We went straight from the airport to the rental and no where else before checking out. I was wearing my shoes at the airport and into the rental. My whole group is positive I left my shoes just inside the door. As soon as I realized, just a few hours after check out, I wrote the manager to collect them. It took several hours for a reply and all I got was a short “ our cleaner said there were no shoes”. I asked if they could check again and haven’t heard back in 24 hours. It’s my fault for leaving them behind but it is dishonest to say they weren’t found as there is no where else they could possibly be. That kind of dishonesty makes this a place I would not recommend or stay again.

Thank you for your review. Hopefully we will see you again.
The view from the property was breath taking, and it is within walking distance into the CBD.
The bedding felt clean and fresh, the house had no odour, but lounge room and the kitchen didn’t give me that feeling probably due to the age of the property and the evidence of stains on the sofa.
The bathroom felt rundown, cheap supermarket shampoo and soaps, the taps were difficult to use and children unfriendly.
The kitchen lacks oil, paper towels or tissue.
Given the cost of the accommodation, I find it hard to believe that this is the standard of accommodation in Queenstown.
