Above the rest! 10 out of 10 in every category
The pictures don't do it justice! It's much roomier than you might think - excellent use of space. Everything is top notch. Cleanest condo we have stayed at - Pristine. Well-equipped. We cooked every meal here but one for a week. These aren't used dishes/pots/pans - everything is quality which made cooking and clean up a breeze after a long day on the slopes. Pantry was stocked well too for the little dash of this and that. Beds - incredibly comfortable - high quality mattress as well as duvet and linens. Details - they had fans and humidifiers (often items I run out and buy when staying at a condo). Excellent instructions on utilizing the various heat sources and appliances. Extra water bottles. Klenex boxes. Plenty of towels, etc. So comfortable in every way. Location - no scary drive. Secluded and private yet close to everything you need. We skied Loveland and walked around the town and drove the pass. Saw lots of wildlife on the property - right out the window. I think it was a family of elk or else the largest deer I've ever seen! Ken was so pleasant to communicate with and very responsive. Next time we ski Loveland we will be looking to book this wonderful and unique cabin!

Bucket List Trip
We wanted a secluded cabin in the woods next to a creek and we scored big time with The Rail Stop Cabin! What a beautiful place! So very pleased with our cabin, the view, and the exceptional hospitality shown by our host, Ken. If I could rate this place 10 Stars, I would. Without any reservation, I would highly recommend this place!

Ultimate Secluded Cabin Escape
My family and I have rented this VRBO multiple times over the years and have never been disappointed. The owner is easily reached and maintains the property to high standards. Loveland Ski area is a short drive and Georgetown is always fun to explore.

The perfect ski cottage
The rail stop cottage was absolutely perfect. We were skiing, Loveland and Arapahoe basin so the location was excellent. The owner Ken was great! We wish we could stay the whole winter.

About the host

Our family relocated back to Colorado in 2012 after a 15 year hiatus away from the state. Our goal from the outset in Colorado was to find a log cabin in the mountains for us and guests to share. We live in Golden area and found this wonderful cabin location in Georgetown Colorado that shares our views of being outdoors, seeing the beautiful mountain settings and being around nature. Come share this experience with our Family.

Why they chose this property

Once you see the pictures and stay at the Rail Stop cabin you will understand our decision to buy here. Only 12 miles to 25 miles from 6 major Colorado ski areas (Loveland, Breckenridge, Winter Park, Keystone, Copper and Arapahoe Basin) and hiking, biking, railroad and mine tours, climbing, fishing, 4 wheeling etc just out the door it offers the Colorado outback getaway while being close to all the major attractions.

The Rail Stop Cabin maintains the rustic cabin look and feel with all the amenities you expect at a vacation cabin.

What makes this property unique

I'll try to list them, but there are many

Mountain and Rushing water views and sound
Privacy in the woods
Close to all major ski areas
Historic Georgetown Restaurants and Museums
Easy commute from Denver and DIA
Star Gazing at night from deck
Wildlife viewing
Train rides, viewing trains and mine tours
