Beautifully Updated Cabin on Pristine Lake Alexander

Picturesque, recently updated cabin on Lake Alexander, a crystal clear 2700-acre lake. The shoreline has a lovely sandy bottom and your own private dock. Excellent swimming, fishing, boating & bird-watching (eagles & loons abound!). You have your own private boathouse to store your lake gear. Also provided are 2 kayaks and a Lily Pad! West-facing cabin & dock allow you to soak up the afternoon sun and take full advantage of the views from this end of the lake that is referred to as the “Gold Coast". One of your favorite memories will be watching breathtaking sunsets from the patio above the boathouse. There are 2 public boat launches just minutes away. The cabin is located on a beautiful tree-lined, quiet road which offers excellent walking and biking just out the front door. There are two lakeside restaurants, "Anchor North” (was Castaway) offers outdoor seating and features live music during the summer months and "The Landing" offers fine dining. This cabin is full of winter fun as well! Enjoy ice fishing right out your back door. Also, snowmobiling, sledding, winter walks among the tall Pines, or just cozy up next to the wood burning fireplace!
Sleeping arrangements: 3 bedrooms; 2 on main level and 1 in the walk out lower level. All with queen size beds. In addition to the bed rooms, there is a bunk area with twin beds over 2 full size beds. There is also a pull-out oversized chair to accommodate additional guests.

Fun fact: Lake Alexander is in the top 5% of lakes in MN in terms of size and has excellent water quality.

Wonderful time for second year in a row

This was the second year in a row that our family stayed here (my sister and I, our spouses, our 90 year old mother, our adult children and their significant others plus a 3 year old. We LOVE staying at this place. Sufficient room, clean, nicely decorated, awesome lake for fishing and fun, and terrific sun set views. We’ll be back again!

Great Memorial Day find

We have rented a home for the long weekend the last few years and this spot was the unanimous favorite! The hosts have thought of everything and then some. Our kids loved being able to use the lily pad and we all appreciated the games. Overall an outstanding stay!

My happy place

The lake holds wonderful memories for me. This property was close to the place I spent all my summers from 1 year old until I graduated from high school. After that I sometimes returned with my family but until this week I hadn’t been there in about 45 years. The place is SO peaceful. As a young person they would have fun with water sports, swimming and fishing.

Family Week!

We LOVE this property!! This was actually our second year and hopefully not our last. We have 5 adults and 4 kids and everyone has a bed and their own space. The porch is fantastic for meals and playing games. We also enjoyed the Lily-pad and kayaks that were provided. We had beautiful weather and beautiful sunsets!! We love that there are so many spaces to enjoy. The kitchen is small but has all the amenities and comforts of home. Thanks for sharing your home with us 😍

Great space on a great lake!

The host was very prompt in communicating and answered lots of questions for us. Our extended family, including infants, all found a nice place to sleep. Lake access was a bit steep for the littlest folks, but all the life jackets you need are in the boat house along with kayaks, paddle boards, lily pad, etc... We did clean out one mouse nest in the basement. I believe we were the first ones to rent for the summer, being the first week of June. Otherwise the place was very well kept, cozy and clean. Overall a great place to spend a week with the family!

Excellent Week on Lake Alex

Wow what a beautiful cabin that immediately felt like home. We had 9 people, with kids from 5-11 and everyone had their own bed and space. I appreciated that the cabin was kid friendly, from a step stool to wash hands, to games, to the sand play space. We loved all the different areas for gathering- or taking time for yourself. We read books, played board games, and had fires. We even played BINGO outside on the deck space (above the boat house). We had our own boat but the kids LOVED all the lake amenities (Lily Pad, Lazy Bunz, and kayaks). The sunsets were spectacular and the lake is so clear. Everything about our stay was 5 stars- thank you for sharing your space with us :) *contacting Kris was so easy when we had questions! I'd recommend this lake home to anyone

All day everyday the view of the lake was beautiful. Three couples spent a week together relaxing both inside and out, together and privately. We enjoyed the kayaks and the dock came in handy when our friends boated over to get us. Excellent choice to have the fire pit ready to go!

Amazing property - amazing views - amazing vacation! My family of 11 enjoyed our time together in this lake home. There was ample space inside and out! Things that I really appreciated about this home, (besides the obvious location, views and wonderful Lake Alexander…) *Well appointed kitchen - I love to cook and was so thrilled to have everything I needed and more. Kuddos for this like good knives and quality cookware, dishes etc *Comfortable beds with quality linens and bedding. Extra blankets. Fans in each bedroom space. *Bathroom amenities - plush towels provided and baskets of toiletries should you have forgotten anything *Lovely landscaping and fire pit. There were beautiful potted flowers around the property. Outdoor seating/patio with view of the lake and dock *Games and TV with many viewing options for those rainy days. *Lily pad on-site for swimming/floating *Quality cleaning supplies - yep, cleaning. With a family of 11 it was so nice to have access to cleaning supplies and equipment to keep or space fresh and tidy! All in all we had a great time at Kris and Nellies lake home. We rented a pontoon and brought along our SUP boards to experience everything that Lake Alexander had to offer - crystal clear water - great fishing - swimming. I would definitely recommend this home for your family vacation. I look forward to the opportunity to visit again :)

Phenomenal Family Week

This is an amazing property on a beautiful lake! Every detail about the property is thought out. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. The bedrooms are very comfortable and accommodated everyone in our group. When we had a question about garbage pick up, the owners were quick to respond. All in all, we loved our time on the lake and will be looking to book again !!!

Beautiful view and fantastic house

The house was clean, wellmai rained as was the lake area. We’ll applied with all you need to make your stay convient. Close to many attractions. Beautiful area for walking and swimming. I would definitely rent this property again. The hosts were always available to talk and answer any questions. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Convienent boat launch is around the lake.
