Hi Jane, Sorry Belmont didn’t meet the expectations of you or your group. The property does get regularly used by disability service groups and I’ve been guided by the site assessment staff from these organisations as to their preferred fit out of the newer bathroom. I’ll raise the issues about the grab rail etc with them and see if this is something they endorse. I agree that water does go everywhere without a shower curtain but the absence of a curtain has been identified as preferable. I agree that caution should be used when booking Belmont (definitely check the house rules!) and I always welcome questions around the capacity of the stove or bbq etc. I do have a video tour of the property online for potential guests to view for transparency and I certainly don’t want to create an impression that it offers more than what it actually does. Fortunately, most feedback received is that the photos and information provided tend to under sell Belmont rather than hype it up. Whilst I love dogs, I have a house rule around no pets to simply meet the cleanliness expectations of most guests. To respond to such breaches (and in the absence of any response from you when I raised the dog hair matter), I did have to initiate additional cleaning and the costs for this was unfortunately not something I could absorb. Photographic evidence of the breach of house rules was supplied to Stayz who supported the use of bond funds to cover the additional cleaning. Whilst seemingly expensive, it’s important to remember that Belmont is not a 2 bedroom home. A call to any carpet cleaning firm will quickly reveal that cleaning 13 carpeted rooms (almost 400m2) is not cheap! I’m really happy that Stayz have covered this cost for you.
