We enjoyed our stay at the Wildflower Condo’s! Great location, beautiful views from our balcony, and it was really nice to be able to use the pools at the Inn and our condo complex.
This unit was nicely decorated with comfy beds & good lighting. For the price we paid I think it could use a bit of sprucing up, but overall it was great.

Thank you for staying with Alpine Lodging. This is a great unit with awesome views and we appreciate your feedback.
Alpine Lodging did a great job with this property. The place is in nearly original 1970’s state, with an updated kitchen and comfortable beds, but the rest being basic. Any (small) glitches were handled immediately and with great enthusiasm by Alpine Lodging. They are fantastic representatives for this solid “B” - “B+“ property. Price is very fair for the property.

Thank you for staying with us. We work hard to make our guests happy and we appreciate your comments.
Would HIGHLY recommend staying at this amazing condo for a ski or adventure vacation. My group was attending a conference at the Sun Valley Inn/Lodge which is a 3-5 minute walk away from the condo. Skiing is a 10 minute drive but there are no ski-in and ski-out options. The space has an open concept with enough to comfortably sleep at least 6 people.
My only dislike about the Unit was it is on the Third Floor and no access to an outside sitting area. or Bar B Q. If that is unimportant it is a terrific Unit.

Thank you for staying with Alpine Lodging. Actually this is a second floor entry and there is a nice deck off dining area with Mt views. Sorry about no BBQ, and we do appreciate your feedback
The location of the property on the SV resort property could not be better or more convenient. The condo itself was very clean, but the Wildflower complex is dated so it could use some updating. Lots of warped windows that would not open and the bathrooms are dated and could use updating. The unit itself was well equipped and comfortable and very nice views of Baldy.

The location is ideal. The condo and building are clean and well stocked with everything you might need. The condo has a bit of delayed maintenance and updates that really need to be taken care of, first project should be getting the plantation shutters repaired. Over half of the shutters were broken and non functional.

Unfortunately we were not advised that there was ongoing construction and in accessibility by car to the unit creating significant access issues for my 86-year-old mother. As a homeowner anytime there is construction we are always advised in advance and I’ve failed to understand why we were not informed of this prior to our arrival. Fortunately Alpine vacation homes worked with us in this difficult situation which was much appreciated.
Great location. Clean, comfortable home. The only thing to be aware of is the third floor loft (bedroom) gets very warm- even in the winter with low temps- it was too warm in that bedroom, even with the thermostat set to 60. The other thing that put a damper on the stay was that only 5 pool passes for Sun Valley Lodge are provided- even though we are a family of 6. I understand this is the policy of the lodge, however it seems like the property management company really needs to do something to resolve this issue for guests. For example, last year we rented from a private home owner and they asked a neighbor if we could use one of their pool passes. We appreciated this gesture so much. It just seems like the property management could do the same with passes that their other units are not using. Overall, a great stay.

thank you for staying with Alpine Lodging. It is not up to the property management companies to deal with SV and their amount of passes they give out. It is up to the owners who own property in SV to all come together to resolve that issue. We have spoken to many of our owners to ban together and make it a better system for our guests. It's in their hands. We do appreciate your feedback .

While we loved being in the Wildflower condos, and have stayed there before, one of my pet peeves is coming into a rental unit and being confronted with the owner's "stuff" in every closet, drawer, nook and cranny. There was a baby crib in the middle of one of the bedrooms. An old unworkable TV behind the regular(small) TV in the living room. Difficult to find places to hang clothes with all the owner's old things in the closets. This unit definitely needs a facelift and attention to detail that is lacking. Staying here was not a good guest experience and is something that the management company should have standards for when they are renting units.

The main problem with our stay was that it coincided with the Allen & Co conference. There were many restrictions on where we could go and what we could do. Many walkways we’re closed off making it difficult to get around. The main pool was closed for almost 2 days tho they said it would only be 1. There was very little communication on how this conference would affect our stay. It’s simply unfair to place those restrictions on the guests who have spent hard earned dollars for a family trip to accommodate the wealthy elite. It could have been done with less restrictions. While we will definitely return, we will avoid this time in the future. My advice to the owners... renegotiate the pool pass policy. 5 passes per unit, whether a 2 person condo or 10 makes no sense. That said, the location was great and we hope to return next year.

Response from VrboOwner on 21 July 2021
Yes it would be best to avoid this date range in the future as this is when Allen & Co usually comes to town. If you are not staying in the Sun Valley Village it is no big deal, but staying in Sun Valley there are restrictions on many things. We have talked to owners of Sun Valley property to say something about the limit of amenities passes no matter what size of condo. It does not make any sense. We look forward to seeing you again next year.

Dissappointed
This is not a good unit in Wildflower and I have rented over 15 units over the years so I am an educated visitor. The beds in this unit were terrible. The property needs a serious update with ripped screens, broken window coverings (shudders), windows that don't all open, old and sometimes broken handles on the kitchen appliances, ceiling fan that will not go on etc. It also needs a serious scrub on the porches and hard to reach areas.

The location was great. However, the condo needed many updates. The shutters were broken in most rooms, so they could not close and let in light every morning. The TVs didn't work well and were extremely small. The lighting was very poor and insufficient. Additionally, the condo advertised access to the SV Lodge pool, which was inaccurate. Further, we received our amenities passes despite the fact that the owner hadn't paid the required dues (according to the people in SV).We loved the location and would look to stay in the Wildflower condos again, but we would definitely not stay in unit 607.
Great layout to the condo- highly accessible to the Sun Valley resort campus, beautiful views. The TVs leave a little to be desired- but that’s not really why you go to Sun Valley ;)

We have stayed in a number of different Wildflower units over the years and love the location. We were disappointed that the furnishings in this unit are very tired and we would not choose to stay here again. The closets were full of the owners' belongings. Also, the kitchen was not up to par for a rental in this price range. For instance, only two of the four burners on the stove worked. There was door on third bedroom, which meant that there was no privacy for the guest staying in that room. Definitely not worth the price.

Renters beware - this unit is not as pictured - overpriced, underwhelming. Based on the limited, online photos and price, we expected a clean, well renovated unit with modern beds, TVs and furniture. Upon arrival, it became clear we were duped by the photos and rented a unit lost in time somewhere between 1974 - 1988. It was so bad, we nicknamed the place Grandma Greta’s!Positives: • Kitchen: renovated and well equipped • Downstairs Bathrooms: clean, more or less functionalNegatives: • Odor: stale, musty throughout, possibly due to old wallpaper and stained carpet and throw rugs • Excessive Clutter and Personal Items everywhere: living room, bar, fireplace mantel, entry way hutch, hall closets, bathroom cabinets and bedroom closets including coats, shoes, extra lamps, broken TVs, shelves of used personal products and toiletries, family keepsakes, etc. • Living Room Furniture: aged and mismatched • TVs: functional but circa 2000 • Mattresses and Pillows: worn out; made sleeping difficult • Upstairs Loft Master bedroom not fit for use • Outdoor Decks: unkept with pine needles, rolled up carpets, collapsed umbrella and old pots with plastic flowersRecommendation: Owners clean out all personal effects and renovate the unit or honestly represent the true state "Grandma Greta’s” Unit 607 in your online photos.

My family stayed at Wildflower 607 for 6 nights this past June. It was our first experience in Sun Valley and overall we had a fantastic experience. The location of this condo truly cannot be beat. It's literally steps away from the village, pool, tennis, etc. and the town of Ketchum is about a 10 minute bike ride away. Our only complaints is that the condo is a bit dated. A few of the locks on the screen doors were completely broken. There were broken slats from the shutters in both of the bedrooms. Also be aware that there is no AC and it gets very warm in the summer. All that said I would recommend this condo based on location alone.
We loved the location and views of Baldy! However the shutters/blinds in the unit need replaced!! Almost all of them are broken/missing. The queen bed in the bedroom connected to the hall bathroom was VERY uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on a deflated air mattress. The wall paper in the loft and twin bedroom should be replaced/removed as it is very dated. The unit gets VERY hot during the day in the summer, especially the loft! There were ample fans however we had a hard time keeping the loft room cool, even at night with the window open. Also the locks on the slider doors going to the patios did not work.
