About this property
The Micro Cabin In Roberts Creek - 2 Minutes from the Beach!
Short-term Rental Registration Number: H355060936
As featured in Canadian Living magazine, Cottage Living magazine, and on the 604now's Bucket List for 2017, the Micro Cabin is nestled on a heritage homestead surrounded by lush garden and towering cedars. The ocean and the heart of Roberts Creek are two minutes away. We are located halfway between Gibsons and Sechelt, making it a perfect homebase to explore the Sunshine Coast from. Enjoy a solo retreat or a relaxing getaway for two while trying out tiny house living!
We built the 125-square-foot Micro Cabin after being inspired by the tiny house movement. Guests should be aware that this is a tiny cabin, which means - it is a tiny cabin! The space is small but bright and airy, with high ceilings and lots of windows and natural light. We think you'll find it to be carefully laid out and thoughtfully appointed. The full-size bed is made up with 100% cotton linens to ensure a good night's sleep. The kitchen is well stocked with all that you need to make something delicious. The bathroom is a fully tiled wet bath like that on a boat. There is plenty of outdoor space here on our private acreage to sit and daydream or finally start writing that novel. Relax at the picnic table with a mug of hot tea and watch the sunrise or gaze at the stars. If you're lucky you might see one of our resident deer and her two fawns wandering around the property. Black bears live here too!
Our small homestead is one of the oldest in Lower Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast. We live on the property in a farmhouse that was built in 1926 for the area's first schoolteacher. We look forward to sharing our slice of paradise with you.
Guest Access Guests have their own self-contained cabin that has its own kitchen and bathroom.
Amenities: ~Kitchen with mini fridge, electric cooktop, French press coffee maker & cookware ~Pantry essentials: oil, sugar, coffee, tea ~Oil-filled electric radiator heater that keeps the cabin cozy on even the coldest winter nights ~Sleeping loft with full-size bed accessed by ladder (Climbing in and out of the loft bed on a ladder requires agility and balance. Please see the photos in this listing and consider whether you will be able to climb up and down from the loft without putting yourself in danger.) ~Shower/toilet combo wet bath ~Hairdryer, umbrella, alarm clock, sewing kit ~Sunshine Coast guidebooks & resources

We had a great little stay. On a beautiful property beautiful gardens. Very private, we never met the host. The cabin was for my husband and I. It was a fun experience staying in a microcabin. I knew about the wet bath going into this, but wasn't a fan. My only recommendation's for the host would be to clear out the cabinet with the board games and maybe keep it in the yoga area and let guests put their things in there and also another dehumidifier is needed. I would stay again but only for a day or two but only because I need a full bathroom.

The micro cabin was perfect for me and my dog. It had everything that was needed including a two burner stove; instant hot water; china, cutlery and pots and pans. Lots of natural light. My only suggestion is to give directions precisely as Google Directions sent me to a street just below the cabin rather than Marlene Road
Super cute and cozy cabin! The private beach was such a nice, quiet area to spend time swimming in the ocean or sitting at the pier. The cabin was clean and we enjoyed most of our time sitting outside. Would definitely recommend and visit again!
There are a lot of good things about this property.Firstly being the location. This location, it's wonderful for traveling up and down the coast. Also there's a very private beach at the end of the street that we sat and whale watched every morning. As for the listing, this is a very tiny home, so keeping it clean should be very easy but when we arrived, it was quite smelly, we soon realized that the shower and shower curtain was moldy the little curtains on the windows were filthy, dirty. The duvet comforter was also filthy. But we were lucky we were traveling and had sleeping bags in the car. This property also has a lot of people living on it, which is fine...I just think you should let people know that this is some kind of compound. Overall, for the price you can't beat it. if I had to do it again, I would have definitely brought some type of outdoor barbecue or coleman stove, because the cabin is too tiny to cook in. If you're looking for a spot to put your bags down and travel the coast, this is definitely a place to consider.
A very enjoyable stay for my boyfriend and I, the loft was so cozy, would definitely recommend to another couple looking for a unique night away from everything else.
This compact space has everything needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay in Roberts Creek. Warm, clean, close to several beaches and within walking distance of local amenities this is an excellent choice for a quiet getaway for a couple and a dog.
We really enjoyed our stay at the micro cabin! Karen made the check-in process easy and responded to messages leading up to our trip quickly. The cabin is cozy, but the layout makes it seem bigger than it actually is. We didn't use the kitchen, but it was equipped with everything that would be needed to make meals. The location is in between Gibsons and Sechelt, which makes exploring the area convenient. We loved the community of Roberts Creek and will be back soon. Thank you!
Facile d'accès et près de toutes les commodités (y compris la plage!), même sans voiture. La maison ne manque de rien. Le lit est très confortable et l'endroit idéal pour recharcher les batteries! J'espère pouvoir y retourner un jour.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the micro cabin. The cabin was as listed and felt private. Everything that we needed was provided. The binder had lots of helpful tips and recommendations. Some top tips were eating at the Gum Boot Cafe in Robert's Creek, grabbing dinner in the Gibsons marina at Smitty's, and taking advantage of all the hiking in the area. I was glad that our host recommended that we get our ferry tickets in advance as we were unfamiliar with the process and would've waited a long time. We appreciated her consistent flexibility as we had some unexpected changes to our itinerary and she was very accommodating.
Very unique and quaint experience in the micro cabin. Karen was a very friendly and gracious host with some great suggestions for activities. Short drive to a beautiful quiet beach. Great weekend getaway!

Cute, clean, comfortable and well-thought out!
We stayed here for 4 nights in August. The cabin looks like a little playhouse, but everything you need is there. It was a great base for a couple sightseeing and canoe-daytripping in the area. Karen was very welcoming and responsive, although unfortunately we never met her in person (due to conflicting schedules).

We loved that this property was dog friendly and worked great for our 3 night stay in Roberts creek to attend a wedding. The bed was comfy and everything we needed was available. Great spot and Karen is kind, offered to shuttle us to the wedding etc. And of course we appreciated the beer and eggs!
