Long weekend in Homewood

Beautiful home with a well equipt kitchen. Very comfortable which made for an extremely relaxing and fun time with family and friends. Pet friendly and in a perfect location.

Tahoe getaway

The property is nice - away from traffic and in a beautiful location. Kitchen could have been updated - all cooking supplies are old and dirty. No serving utensils. One trip to the dollar store would be good and throw away all of the old stuff that can't be cleaned! Also, have your cleaning staff throw away all old spices, etc. We found something expired in 2009!

The cabin met our needs perfectly. Great room and deck were wonderful for hanging out with grandkids and adults. Well equipped kitchen for preparing meals at home. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood and access to a private beach were also a plus. Used the provided fans in each room to cool the house down for sleeping at night. Plenty of bath towels, soap, paper towels and TP were provided. We would love to return.

Great 4th of July weekend for our crew. Location is great. House is cute and comfortable. Love coffee every morning on front deck. Exactly what we expected. Very enjoyable.

Nice little house

It was a good experience loved hanging out in the deck. House was nothing fancy but very clean. Just a tip Tahoe city is 10 minutes away for food and grocery store. We also saw a couple bears on our first day but we maintained our distance and we were fine.

Very disappointed. Pictures did not show how old this cabin was.

Mouse droppings in kitchen drawer, had the wrong key to the dock gate. Recieved a new key in the 3rd day of our stay we only stayed 4 days. All Towels in the down stairs bathroom smelled durty. Dishwasher didn’t work the maintenance people had to come out and fix it. Received a very unprofessionally email regarding using the dock.

We're very sorry for your experience and worked to rectify your concerns as quickly as possible. The photos of the cabin were taken at the beginning of the summer and show the cabin exactly as it is. Unfortunately, critters get into homes in Tahoe and although we keep properties on routine pest control, they still make their way in occasionally. We reached out to pest control for immediate service when you reported this. The dishwasher is back in working condition - it required a simple reset which was performed within hours of your notice to us. All linens are laundered between stays, but we will work to update towels. We do apologize for not having the correct key for the HOA upon your arrival . The key was just changed and it wasn't provided to us. We got the key to you on the third day of your stay only because your husband said you were at Sugar Pine Point on the second day so no rush. The pier at Tahoe Pines HOA is for loading and unloading only, not for sunbathing or loitering, and the beach around the pier does not require a key - this was explained to you because you stated that you wanted to go to the beach and we wanted you to know you could still use the beach without a key, it was not intended to be unprofessional.

Less than fair

House smelled due to ashes not cleaned out of fireplace from previous guests. Both bathroom floors were covered in black hair from people or dog from previous guests. Two beds upstairs had black hair on the sheets from previous guests. House got extremely warm and made sleeping upstairs unbearable. Would have been nice to have something to remove pine needles which covered entire deck and chairs but we managed with that. We will not be staying here again nor recommending this to friends due to house being dirty inside. Very unhappy especially since it was not cheap to rent it.

Relaxing spot with lots of room!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hillhouse. It was very clean and had plenty of room for the 6 of us. We walked to the beach once, but drove as well. We spent lots of time relaxing on the deck. I can’t wait to go back!

Roomy cabin in the woods

We were only here two nights and there were only four of us, but the cabin can accommodate many more comfortably (beds for 10!). The rooms are sunny and welcoming. The kitchen is well-stocked--but bring your own coffee! If you plan to use the fireplace, bring your own wood. The outside deck is huge--we wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of relaxing there.

Enjoyed our time at the Hillhouse. Plenty of space for our family of 5, kitchen worked and enjoyed the deck. Would've liked to see the Giants and Warriors on a bigger TV, but that's ok
