We were very happy with everything. Very clean, very nice and absolutely beautiful spot to stay at. I strongly recommend to any one. Very close to Houghton and to the college.
The cabin is so clean and comfortable and in a great location for access to beaches and the adorable town of Houghton. We enjoyed cooking in the very functional kitchen with everything you need to make family meals. It’s a great place to stay and the owners were are pleasant and responsive.
Ladies week celebrating our 80th Birthday year and our friendship began in elementary school. Our cabin was so cute, comfy and clean. Our hosts were delightful and the property and lake were beautiful. We all said it's a perfect retreat for all ages and great location to take side trips. Hoping we can return again.
Great place, we love coming here. We spent Easter here, and I was able to cook Easter dinner for my son and some of his friends at Michigan Tech. I especially loved the wood stove...it was so warm and cozy. We will be back next year for my son's graduation!
This place is a hidden gem! We will be back! It was clean, cozy, and the perfect place to relax and enjoy the property while we were exploring the UP. The house has everything you could need and more to stay for a lengthy stay. The grounds had many amenities like paddle boards, kayaks, basketball court, volleyball, and yard games. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The host was responsive and helpful providing a book with information. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Very clean, peaceful, and fun place to stay. The private lake was also a plus having kids. 1902 tap & grill has great food as well.and is about 7 minutes away. Highly recommended!
We have stayed at this property several times and every single stay has been perfect. The cabins are spacious, well-appointed, and VERY clean and the owners are always quick to respond to any questions. There is just no room for improvement -- we will keep coming back!
We loved our stay! Everyone in the area is so nice, the house was amazing and in such a great location. Close enough to make a run to town but still off in its own space. We would 100% recommend this to anyone who wants a great get away!
We were in town to celebrate Easter with our son, a Michigan tech student. The cabin was perfect for us to have Easter dinner and hang out with our family. It was a nice quiet property and the cabin had everything we needed. We hope to be back next year!
This home and surrounding property was beautiful and owners were great. Excellent communication. Close enough to a town for your basic needs and restaurants but location feels secluded. Great experience!
This place is perfect for an up north fall trip. I hope to return someday in the summer and use other amenities! Thank you so very much for a perfect place to stay while exploring the north and fall colors!
We booked this place on a whim. Communication with the owners was great. We felt like the price was fair for the accommodations. The place was very clean and located in a peaceful setting. They have a very well put together information book also!
Close to everything in town/MTU. Nice clean, private cabin. Kids enjoyed the lake and adults enjoyed quiet, relaxing evenings on the porch and along the lake. Cabin had everything needed for a nice week in the UP.
Our Stay we made the best of our stay without snow. Had a lot of laughs, a little hungover, and even ran into Lical Joey Jackson. Carl and Michelle are awesome and there property is beautiful.
