This cabin is cozy and on a lovely property. It’s a great retreat if you want to feel like you’re “getting away” without actually having to go too far. It was a great location for a fun girls’ weekend and had everything we needed.
The house was very comfortable, absolutely enjoyed being away from the city and sitting on the back porch. There was everything we could have asked for to make our stay easy.
This was the perfect place to escape hustle and bustle and enjoy some quiet. Our favorite part was sitting on the back porch overlooking the pond and reading. The house was well stocked. It was a great place for our family!
This place was a GREAT place of respite for our family. We were here for bereavement and the peacefulness of the property was just what we needed. Thank you
We so enjoyed the peaceful, quiet retreat the cabin provided. The cabin has all standard amenities and a lovely screened in porch where we spent most of our time. We are eager for the opportunity to visit again.
We loved the cozy and comfortable ambiance of the home in the woods...it had everything we needed! We attended a wedding in Canton Square and being able to "come home" to this place made the stay memorable.... very quiet, beautiful surroundings plus there were ducks and deer on the property.... we loved it!
Wonderful cabin tucked away for a quiet, peaceful retreat from the business of everyday life. We thoroughly enjoyed our short weekend trip here, surrounded by beautiful trees, a stunning pond and lots of bird watching. The cabin itself was well equipped and offered a screened patio as well as an outdoor back deck overlooking the pond. Great place to “unplug” and appreciate the beauty of the property and nature itself!
My 3 grandchildren (6,5,and 4) kept calling it "Our New House" and didn't want to leave. Each afternoon all 3 would say "I'm ready to go to our new house to go night night" That says it all!
The property was amazing! The house/cabin was extremely neat & clean, kitchen was nice, charcoal grill was right up our alley. The property is out,in what seems to be in the middle of nowhere, very tastefully decorated and furnished. Even though it has at least one MS State article someone from Ole Miss would be very satisfied with this property.
Highest of recommendations.
This cabin and property provide a perfect location to unplug. The cabin is furnished with quality furniture and tasteful accents. There are several comfortable sitting areas, both inside and outside. We especially loved sitting on the deck listening to the birds and relaxing on the screened-in porch under the ceiling fan. I hope to return.
This cabin retreat helped our whole family to disconnect from the busy chaotic world and just connect with one another. The property was beautiful and tranquil inside and out. The decor of the property made you feel at home and so cozy. Everything was considered as there wall essentials were provided from TP to snacks. The DVD collection was a great touch as watching a good movie is a wonderful bonding experience. Wish we could have stayed longer.
This was our second time staying here for Thanksgiving. We LOVE this cabin so much. It is like stepping out of our home in KC and into our home in Canton. You will not want for anything staying here. The cabin is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Kitchen is stocked with all the cookware you could need. The cabin is a nice, quiet retreat in the woods, but close to town with easy access to Canton, Madison, and Jackson. Check in/out is easy and clear, and Eva responds practically immediately if you need anything (we didn't). We will absolutely be back again! THANK YOU for another wonderful trip!!!!
This was exactly what we were looking for as a family get away to unwind and recharge. Cabin was exactly what we wanted. We loved being able to sit by the fire and just chill out and play games together. Natchez Trails were close by and shopping was close by too! We went to Richland and also was able to visit family in Jackson. Looking forward to our next stay here just trying to figure out dates in the fall! Can't wait to go back. Only issue (not really an issue but personal preference based off of family having younger children) is that although a huge selection of movies, not a large section of movies we could watch as a family.

Thank you so much for that recommendation! We will certainly add some Disney movies.
Everything overall was ok, with the exception of a couple things… the hide-a-bed needs a clean new mattress or needs to be professionally cleaned. It was filthy when we pulled it out to the point where we had to put 2 layers of sheets on it for the kids to feel like it was “clean” enough to use it - it’s so remote that there is no where to run purchase an air mattress or we would have. The second thing was the pathways to both doors were laid out amidst a thick bed of ivy & with it being Spring time and snake season, those should’ve been trimmed back much more than they were. The amenities were great and overall, it was a good stay for our group.
My husband and I came up Thanksgiving weekend for a quiet retreat. We brought our bikes and rode on the multi use trail only 6 miles from the house. Beautiful ride, gorgeous views of the Reservoir. The house is just as cute as can be, with an older charm and updated country chic vibe. Very comfortable beds, and the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen in a rental! Even the fridge has basics you need for cooking. Lots of seating in the living room as well as ample seating on front and back porches. I estimate about a 3 acre property, private, quiet and close to Canton as well as all the recreation available around the Natchez Trace.
Eva is an excellent host and communicated so well. Would love to come back with friends!
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in Mississippi. The setting was incredibly peaceful and quiet—exactly what we were hoping for. One of our favorite parts was the pond behind the property. It made the whole place feel secluded and relaxing, and it was beautiful to look out at in the mornings and evenings. We spent a lot of time on the screened porch, which was perfect for enjoying the outdoors without worrying about bugs. It quickly became our favorite place to sit with coffee, read, and unwind. The kitchen was also very well stocked, which made cooking easy and convenient during our stay. It had everything we needed and more.Overall, this cabin was a restful, comfortable retreat. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy nature, this is a great choice. We would definitely stay here again.
We rented this house for a week to spend Thanksgiving with my husband's family. My family (me, husband, teenage son) and my Dad and his girlfriend stayed. There was more than enough room for all of us. Towels and blankets galore. Wonderfully stocked kitchen. This house far exceeded our expectations. The screened in porch and HUGE deck overlooking the pond were favorite spots. We were spoiled with beautiful weather, though when the rain cooled things down the gas fireplace warmed things right up. The house is in the country, but a quick drive to Canton, Madison, Jackson, and the reservoir. It was a treat to wake up to the views every morning. You will not be disappointed in any way, and we are already planning a trip back.
This cabin could not be more perfect. It gives the illusion that you are far out, but really you are just 20 minutes from anything. The cabin is spotless & well stocked. The beds are extremely comfortable and the setting is beyond relaxing. Hated to leave!
