PHOTOS ARE DECEIVING
My colleague and I booked this apartment No. 3203 Island Colony Waikiki Hawaii from Heinz advertised on VRBO for 31 nights we were in communication with Heinz right up until we arrived. The inventory that was given did NOT match what was in the apartment.
These are the list of complaints we had durung our stay.
1. The contact details of the management company, which were given to us unfortunately they didn't have any information of us staying at the apartment which we found very strange.
2. All linen needs to be replaced as they were stained, there was only 1 kitchen towel.
3. NO beach towels in apartment as advertised and mentioned to us, we were told by Heinz to go to ABC and he would credit us back, which clearly isn't our job.
4. NO pillow protector or mattress protector considering Covid is still lingering about and it is a requirement that all rentals have protectors on beds and pillows.
5. The carpets need a good deep clean.
6. The electric 2 burner to cook on has NO instructions and you need to use special pots which was NOT mentioned and had pots in cupboard that were NOT for this 2 Burner.
7. NO bath mat in the bathroom and the bath tub needs a good descaling and is very slippery.
8. On two separate occasions we had workmen entering the apartment without our knowledge or consent which is very disrespectful and breaking breach of contract, when we mentioned this to Heinz he didn't seem bothered at all.
9. With regards to the facilities within the complex we were told everything is included within the price paid but that wasn't the case we had to pay a one off fee for the Gym. Its NOT so much the money its the principle.
10. We did not use the air-conditioning or the fan but yet he still charged us for electricity to include this, although we were told by him on our last day that the air-conditioning wasn't working.
11. The ice compartment on the fridge is solid with ice and the fringe is NOT working we had to throw alot of our food away.
12. We were NOT notified that refurbishment works were being carried out next door to us and it was alot of drilling and banging early hours of the morning and throughout the day which generally disturbed us.
We managed to track Heinz down the day before we left, he meet us at the apartment building with his partner. We asked him if he had read the emails and WhatsApp messages we have sent him. His reply was NO, he was more interested in eating his salad he bought with him for lunch.
