Granny’s House 2 bedroom, 5 miles to ark! Bonus walkthrough space with twin bed.
This house is 5 miles from the Ark and is 40 miles from the Creation Museum. We are only 32 miles from the Greater Cincinnati Airport. We are located right between Cincinnati Ohio and Lexington Kentucky, 2 miles of Interstate 75. There is a large lake located just 6 miles from the house.
Large old house that sits on an acre lot. The farm with House was purchased in 1943 by Cline and Pearl King. At that time they were told the house was 100 years old and with that being said it would have been built pre Civil War era. They named the road Kings Heights an in the 90s the city changed it to Kings Drive. Over the years the farm land has been divided out. Part for other homes and what farm is left is owned by a private owner not a family member. The house over the years has had renovation inside and out but a lot of the old remains. Now we are the Great Grandchildren and are giving others a chance to enjoy the old home and occasional beautiful sunrises and or sunsets.

The property was just as described, and it was comfortable, quiet and clean. There were a couple of places, such as under the furniture, where the floors had not been swept in awhile, but otherwise the kitchen, bathrooms etc. were very clean. Definitely a good value and I very nice neighborhood
My cousin and I were on a road trip on our way to Nashville for a wedding and decided to visit The Ark along the way. Granny's House was in an excellent location both to The Ark and just for a quiet place to relax. Nice, quiet neighborhood. We would have loved to have had more time to just enjoy staying in the house. If we're in the area again, we will definitely hope to stay there again.
My friend and I were pleasantly impressed with this cute “granny’s house” which is still owned by family of Granny King. It is believed to be over 100 years old and the flooring and baseboard are reminiscent of that time period. The rooms are generously sized, the bathrooms are modernized and we were very comfortable. The view from the front of the house is of fields and a barn. It is an easy drive from I-75, maybe 5 minutes and nice to get away from the restaurants and gas stations right off the highway.
Such a homey, comfortable historic house. Great location close to highways and the Ark etc. loved father country feeling but also the convenience of Starbucks close by and everything else easy to get to!
Would stay again!
It was perfect! Very, very clean the decor fit the title perfectly. The outside and grounds was lovely. It was the perfect vacation home. I was so lucky to have found this and booked it and instead of a boring old motel.

The location was perfect. We visited Ark Encounter,Newport aquarium,Creation Museum, and Brad Brown Magician! Wonderful time and easy check up n check out! Loved Dry Ridge quaint town felt like home!
Beautiful clean town with ample places to eat! Clean, lovely home with all items available for an enjoyable stay! Pretty farm scenery and quaint back porch to relax on. Met the owner, who is a very pleasant, helpful man. Couldnt of had a better stay! Thank you!
We went to the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. They were both amazing as was our stay Granny’s House! We arrived later than planned and Lawrence turned on all the lights for us…much appreciated! When we walked into the house, all 3 of us felt like we were at our Mamaw’s house. We had everything we needed but were given a number to call if we had any problems. I highly recommend this home to stay at if you are ever in the area!!!

Loved the History of the home.
Lawrence was very pleasant and helpful
I would recommend to anyone.
One would have to look no further to find a place that is most like your own! From the warm welcome of the Host, until the last goodbye, this house meets all requirements! Clean, well stocked with all amenities and very comfortable beds! After a long day of walking at The Ark Encounter and Creation Museum, it was wonderful to be able to fix a meal and relax on the porch. We definitely will stay again when in the area! Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Kitchen needs appliance upgrades.
Cooking supplies need to be replaced.
They were very outdated. We had to replace
light bulbs.
The house itself was a lovely place to stay.
We enjoyed the porch. Lovely evenings watching the sun set.
Excellent Stay/Great Price/Excellent Location For Both The Creation Museum & The Ark Encounter
The house was everything that we were looking for in our family trip. The Creation Museum is roughly 40 minutes away and the Ark is a 15 minute drive. Lots of great local restaurants to choose from for dinner. Lawrence has done a great job in keeping the atmosphere of the house like what we would expect from a house that his grandparents purchased in the 1940s. There is central air and WiFi available. I didn’t need to use the WiFi as the cell service was sufficient for what I was using my phone for. My wife and 2 adult sons used the WiFi. There was a guestbook to write about our experience. We had the opportunity to talk with Lawrence a couple of times and were able to listen to his stories not only about living with his grandparents for sometime while growing up. He also is a wealth of information about the history of the area. We plan on staying there again when we go back to The Creation Museum and/or The Ark Encounter.

Unsafe, conditions and environment. Made a phone call to property manager to let her know we were having issues with the lock, and she never responded. Was being watched by neighbor across the street as we struggled with the lock the neighbor approached us from across the street and came up onto the porch without introducing herself and said “here, let me help you with the lock. I asked who are you?” and she said oh I’m just the neighbor across the street. I then asked why do you have the code to the house that I’m staying in if you’re not the property manager or not the owner. This is just one item of a litany of things that we are unhappy with. Will not stay here again and will not recommend it to anyone.
