Super Stay!

Great Location! Close to everything, but just enough off of the "main drag" to be delightfully quiet. It feels like your very own piece of the beautiful beach. Candace has the place outfitted with everything you could possibly desire for the perfect vacation. I would highly recommend a stay here, to anyone headed to Placencia.

Perfect location in an idyllic place

We’ve been to Placencia several times, but our first stay here. Loved it! Candace’s advice and arrangements, for guides, restaurants, even a massage, were dead on. The location is within easy walking distance of all we could have wanted. And guides picked us up on the beach in front of the property! We thought this might be our last visit here, but reconsidering now.

We had such a relaxing stay. Sunrises in the morning from the porch are stunning. Candy and Rick were both so helpful and nice. Candy even arranged for the Tropic Air fight to wait for us since our flight was several hours late. They go on and beyond in helpfulness. Thank you so much for everything.

Great Beachfront Bungalow

The property is exactly as listed. It sits feet away from the waves with just a few steps of sand to enjoy on the way to the ocean. The accommodations were perfect, clean, and comfortable. The little snacks that were provided (with the beer) were nice to have immediately on arrival after a day of travel. Be sure to enjoy the Beach Club-complimentary as well, and adults only on Monday and Thursday. Great place if you want to enjoy a pool. We highly recommend the jungle tour with Percy.

Exceeded our expectations

Serenity by the sea was everything we wanted and more. Beautiful private beach area with chairs and a hammock just steps from the porch. This location was perfect for walking to tons of restaurants and a grocery store. Candace was amazing! With airport transfers and recommendations on things to do and places to eat, she took the guess work out of everything. Placencia is now a top destination for us and we will 100% be back.

Placencia paradise

Candace and Rick were very attentive, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The house was exactly as pictured and very centrally located with access to everything. We loved the views and the hammock. The only downside is that the house is not air-conditioned, which made sleeping challenging for us. For some, this may not be an issue. Overall, they were lovely accommodations.

We loved our stay!

This home is simply incredible! Everything about our stay was excellent, we only wish we had been able to stay longer! The home itself is just lovely. The kitchen and bathroom are extremely well equipped, and the bed is super comfortable. And that porch looking out of the ocean - wow!!! We loved every minute of our stay. The home is perfectly located so close to countless restaurants and bars, but you feel like you’ve got your own private slice of heaven on the beach. Candace and Rick are fantastic hosts and were extremely responsive and helpful with spot-on recommendations. We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more!

Owners questioned why our stay was only three nights. They had it right. Too short. Candace is the best personal concierge ever. Take her suggestions and you cannot go wrong. Exploring Placencia on your own works as well. Wonderful place and people.

Amazing!

Everything about our stay was fantastic! Candace and Rick were very nice and gave excellent recommendations for places to eat and fun activities! And, Candace even made all the arrangements for our activities so all we had to do was pack our necessities and show up at our pick up time! The water view from the cottage was so beautiful and the cottage was the perfect size for the two of us. Only 1 minor thing I would have liked better, a walkway so we didn’t have to walk in the sand going to and from the cottage when we would go into the village. I highly recommend staying at Serenity By The Sea, you won’t be disappointed! Thanks again for an amazing stay! We’ll be back!

Better than advertised

This property and the hosts were far beyond our expectations! The location, with the Caribbean Sea as our front yard, was truly a dream come true. We could lay our hammock between two of the coconut trees right in front of the water and let our troubles float away. We didn’t need to think about a single thing with Candace and Rick as our hosts. From the moment Candace picked us up at the airport, she was ready with daily recommendations for excursions ( snorkeling, etc…), which she always booked for us, daily restaurant recommendations, etc. It felt like we were visiting old friends. Rick even cut down several varieties of coconuts from the property for a private tasting. Candace was also very intuitive in judging when we needed guidance and when we just wanted to do our own thing. This is, by far, the best lodging / hosting experience we have ever had in any country; HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Perfection

This vacation was better than expected and more. Serenity by the Sea was really the perfect spot for our beach vacation. The Cabana that we rented met our expectations and more. The hosts, Candace and Rick were superior hosts. They were very attentive and caring without being imposing. The Cabana was very well appointed. We needed nothing to feel comfortable, it was already there! Candace knew all the spots to see and visit and she handled it all gracefully, she made any reservation that we wanted and even suggested more. Bottom line was that we felt that we had everything we wanted to do at our fingertips and plenty of time to relax. It was a very well balanced experience and we can't wait to do it again!! Q

Relaxing on a beautiful beach!

I was hard to live up to expectations! We REALLY needed a relaxing getaway. Simply, we got it! Enjoyed catching up on reading, walking, swimming, Rick's coffee and liqueur, rum and Belikin. Met some nice people (from Belize and elsewhere) and each had two wonderful massages. Home last night. Refreshed! Were treated to a WONDERFUL Christmas dinner with hosts. Laughter with great people.

OUTSTANDING VACATION AT SERENITY BY THE SEA

My husband and I stayed 10 nights at Serenity by the Sea in Placencia. Our hosts, Candace and Rick were great hosts, picking us and dropping us off at the airport. The pictures of their cottage on the beach are accurate. It is decorated in beach decor, with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The beach is at your door and we sat on the porch each morning and enjoyed our coffee! Just a 5 minute walk into the Village, were you can pick up fresh fruit, fresh bread from the Bakery and more. We were impressed with the number of restaurants and the great food. Rum Fish Vino and the Secret Garden were a couple of our favorites. You can walk the beach and drop into the Tipsy Tuna or Barefoot Bar for a cool drink. Lots of tours to take you out for snorkeling, diving and other attractions. The residents of the community are friendly and we felt safe at all times. Would highly recommend Serenity by the Sea. Thank you Candace and Rick!

There is cable TV, WIFI, a fully equipped kitchen with stove, microwave & fridge plus more, fully stocked bathroom so if you forgot something from home we will have it. 2 fans and the sea breeze to keep you cool, everything you would need to feel at home. There is even bag of fresh roasted coffee for you to enjoy. You are on the best beach in Placencia Belize. You can walk to stores, gift shops, banks, restaurants & bars in 5-15 minutes.
