Come and sit a spell. Grab a cocktail and watch your worries sail away as you enjoy the cozy private outdoor seating area to be found at Sunset Bay Villa 118. The unit is on the ground level, providing easy access after a long day at the beach. Beautifully styled with nautical decor and special attention to detail. Situated on the edge of the bay, this villa offers a private balcony with walk-out access to the marina and a reserved 40' foot deep-water boat slip. Villa 118 at Sunset Bay boasts an en suite bedroom with king bed, private bath featuring a stand up shower AND a bathtub - along with private outdoor patio access from the bedroom. Two other bedrooms feature a king in one, and a twin in the other. Fully equipped kitchen and dining area with coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, electric range, and plenty of countertop for that family seafood feast you will want to make while you're with us. Have a few friends sit at the bar while you mix up a few cocktails, then enjoy "people-watching" on the Chincoteague Channel as the evening picks up. Once the sun goes down you can retire to the cozy living area in the heart of the villa. Maybe a movie on the flat screen? Or perhaps a game of chess? No matter what you decide on, you and your guest will most certainly enjoy your stay at Sunset Bay Villa 118. Please Note: This unit includes a deep-water boat slip and use of the marina.

A chance to relax

We were taking a break from the kids and work this week. This property was quite and beautiful. Just what we needed to recharge our batteries. We can’t wait to come back again.

Lovely condo. The view is great and the sunset view is awesome. Kitchen is well equipped. Text management and received response to my question right away. Beds were comfortable. We love this place! It is a bit of hike from parking lot to condo (covered walk) so you may want to consider bringing a fold up wagon to bring groceries or such in with. Five Star Stay!

It is well maintained (new, good quality large appliances this year) and tastefully furnished and decorated with nice furniture, good dishes, cookware, etc. The location couldn’t be better; it’s right on the water with great views of the sunsets and within walking distance to town with its shops and restaurants.

Three days with the Golden Girls

The unit was very nice and right on the water. We saw dolphins in the channel 2 different mornings. Everything was as advertised. The only down side was the room with the 2 twin beds was a trundle and the room was small. Hard to use for 2 adults.

We visited Chincoteague with our two daughters and their families. We were in 118 with two additional adults and two children under 4. My other daughter and her husband and two children rented 116. We were close enough to spend lots of quality time together and yet have sufficient privacy. 118 was spacious, clean, and offered great views of the bay including beautiful sunsets. Having direct access to the dock was a real bonus! My husband and grandchildren spent hours out there catching crabs, fish, and other sea creatures. Porpoises visited us one day! I would highly recommend both condos! The only two downsides I can think of about 118 are the beds are extremely firm. If you don’t like sleeping on a firm mattress bring a mattress topper. The other concern if you are docking a boat in the boat slips on the bay side of the building your boat will get constantly bounced around and could be damaged. The bay access is not a “No Wake” zone. Boats are constantly going by at high speeds causing strong wakes.

We really enjoyed our stay and we’re so thankful that the condo was well furnished and had a beautiful view of the water. Unfortunately the weather was terrible with gale force winds and rain and cold temperatures but we were able to sit and read and relax. Everything was super.

What an amazing place! Even the people in the town are amazing. We very much enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return. Our only regret was not staying more than 2 nights.

The condo was beautiful, clean and well- appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You can't beat the views or location. One caution: I love a firm mattress, but the mattresses in this condo would better be described as a concrete slab. A mattress topper is a MUST if you don't want to be fighting over who gets to sleep on the sofa. Something that could be a concern to some is that the room with the trundle, does not have a window/second form of egress. We would definitely stay again (just pack mattress toppers).

Pool in photo is much smaller than it appears and can be overrun with children if you don't have a group of your own but have and will stay over and over. Try cowboy cruises to see the ponies. Great experience.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Unfortunately, bed bugs were discovered during your stay and it is very difficult to pin-point the source or onset of the issue. However, all of our vacation rental homes are randomly inspected (by a professional pest company that uses trained K9s to detect issues) and this Sunset Bay Villa had recently been cleared of any pests/bugs. There was no indication of them during the clean or inspection prior to your check in. Nonetheless, we are deeply apologetic for this unfortunate situation. As you are aware, during your stay the rental home was professionally treated via a heat treatment which is deemed to be most effective. During 2 subsequent inspections after this treatment, the rental home has been given the "all clear" and is 100% free of bed bugs. We encourage you to reach out to us directly via phone or email; we'd love the opportunity to host your next vacation and will make it up to you. Thank you, The Chincoteague Resort Team

Fantastic sunsets

Beautiful condo with jaw dropping views out the windows. Well stocked, the kitchen is ready for real cooking. The master bedroom is amazing. The kids loved the trundle bed for a fun sleepover. Easy walk down main st to the shops and waterfront park, and a quick drive to the beach and nature reserve. Only wish we could have stayed longer!
