For questions, to verify availability dates or to check the availability of other furnished rentals we manage, please contact the owner.
This large 700 square foot rental unit called the 'Coconut Corner' is one of the nicest rentals you will find on the Windward side of Oahu — a king size bed, full split A/C in every room and Smart TV's in both the bedroom and the living room, a fully upgraded kitchen with solid surface countertops, custom cabinetry, stainless steel fridge, range/oven, mircohood & dishwasher plus a covered patio with a table and chairs with ceiling fans throughout the rental, free parking right out front along with free laundry and WiFi. This large vacation rental is in a quiet residential neighborhood just a half-mile from an access to the beautiful sandy 2 mile stretch of Kailua Beach. This duplex is close to Kailua Town and the neighborhood Aikahi Park Shopping Center with restaurants, hair/nail, liquor/poke store, coffee shop, bank, gas station and a grocery store all within walking distance.
Kailua is a friendly town of about 38,000 located on the beautiful northeast shore of Oahu. I love Kailua for its many beaches and accessible off-shore islands. The beautiful two-mile stretch of sparkling Kailua Beach and adjoining Lanikai have been rated tops among America’s best beaches. Surf shorebreak, kayak, swim with the green sea turtles, or sail to one of the secluded offshore islands and maybe spot the whales breech offshore. It does not get any better than this!
It is only a 20-25 minute scenic drive to the airport, Honolulu, and Waikiki. Nearby sites include Kailua Beach Park, Kailua Farmers Market, Lanikai Pillbox hike, Maunawili Falls, Sea Life Park, Sandy Beach, Waimanalo, Hanauma Bay, and the North Shore.
Kailua town offers many diverse restaurants and shopping locations. There are businesses that offer kayaks, kite surfing, and wind surfing lessons and rentals. There are wonderful hiking trails nearby and waterfalls.
Kailua offers a completely different atmosphere from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Many of our guests enjoy the laid back atmosphere, sense of community, and Aloha Spirit we all share. Also, enjoy making your own meals in the full kitchen, even firing up the stainless gas grill to cook up some special dinners.
This rental is smoke free and we ask that our smoking guests smoke beyond the property lines only in the street.
A $50 reservation change fee will apply to any changes to an existing reservation initiated by guests.

This was our second stay at this property. The rental was clean and had everything that one could want for a long vacation with great chairs to take to the beach. The property manager was only a phone call away and quickly answered all of our questions. Thanks Greg for a wonderful vacation in paradise.

This vacation rental is in a good location away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu, yet close enough to go there for shopping, eating, etc. The unit was very clean, well-stocked, and the hosts were pleasant.

Our stay in this quiet neighborhood, was very enjoyable. The rental is clean, comfortable, and roomy. Like a home away from home.
We would stay here again.
Kailua, is a beautiful little town and has good places to eat and shop. Also, has a very nice beach and close to Lanikei beach.
Honolulu is just 20-30 minutes over the Pali highway.
The owners definitely respect your privacy, but are accessible if need be.
The rental and it's location, made our ten days feel as if we were living in Hawaii, rather than just visiting.
Thanks so much !
Cozy home in a great neighborhood. Close to beach and town.
I travelled on my own to visit my daughter who works on the Island. I stayed for 3 weeks and loved the location of this house. I ran or hiked every day, afternoons spent on beautiful Kailua Beach. Owners had all the beach gear needed. Close to town and great proximity to adventuring the whole Island. I felt safe and enjoyed this home away from home feel! Also, important to me was having a full kitchen and this had everything I needed. Also, the futon in the living room allowed my daughter her space at night. Owners also gave me use of their washer/drier in the garage. Much needed! Highly recommend!

True to description
We stayed at Coconut Corner for two weeks in February 2009. The other times we have been to Oahu we have stayed with family in the Kahala area. We have since had two more children and were looking for someplace for all five of us to stay. This was perfect. The description provided is right on. There were no surprises, Greg and Cindy were helpful and kind while providing privacy. Our children, ranging in age from 3 - 8, loved Zippy the cat and still talk about him now. One of the best things about staying in Kailua is that you are forced to explore the island! We took the Pali and/or H3/ Hwy 72 more often than when we stayed closer to Waikiki and never got tired of looking at the scenery. We had a great time, this was the perfect place to stay and introduce our children to Hawaii.

Great locations, all the comforts of home
On the advice of friends, my husband and I decided to stay in Kailua on our first trip to Hawaii. We wanted to avoid the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and we wanted a place that had a full kitchen and WiFi. Coconut Corner gave us that and much more. It was a home away from home, with plenty of space, a fully-stocked kitchen, easy parking, everything you needed for a day at the beach, a comfortable king-size bed (a bit too soft for my husband's back, but I was fine), helpful neighbors, WiFi, cable TV, and songbirds to wake you every morning. It also was a great location from which to explore the entire island. All roads (and they are ALL stunningly beautiful) seem to lead back to Kailua. We got up each morning and walked to Muddy Waters to get coffee, then walked down to Kailua Beach for a stroll. Folks were friendly in this residential neighborhood...you may hear an occasional dog bark, or motorcyle, or leaf-blower, but we found it easy to get a wonderful night's sleep and felt rested and relaxed to start our adventures each day. The windward breezes and ceiling fans kept us very comfortable, and we never needed to turn on the AC. Greg and his family gave us plenty of privacy, but were more than helpful with travel and traffic advice, directions, restaurant recommendations, etc. We were very happy with our Coconut Corner experience and can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Kailua. Mahalo to Greg and the family for helping to make our first trip to Hawaii so special. We appreciate it!

You're very welcome Heather. Mahalo for the great review. Aloha.
My family very much enjoyed our time at this property. It was clean, had a fully-stocked kitchen, and included some great amenities, including home entertainment, beach equipment, and easy laundry access. It's in a great location -- safe & quiet neighborhood with easy walking access to the Aikahi shopping center and the beach. There's a super comfortable king-size bed and a futon couch if you need it. The residence itself is part of a larger house.
This home had everything we needed for our home on the island. The location near Kailua proved perfect for us to enjoy the beautiful Hawaiian scenery away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and Honolulu. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood, close to restaurants and beaches.
The AC, Spacious bedroom, newly remodeled shower, full kitchen and beach gear, coolers, etc made it convenient for beach fun.
Would stay here again!
Mahalo for such a wonderful stay! The apartment had everything we needed and then some! The water pressure was perfect, the a/c was nice and cold and the bed was sooooo comfortable. Erik was always so quick to respond to me when I needed anything! We appreciate you all so much for sharing your home with us! Until next time!
Easy communication with owner, beautiful location that was close to family on the island, interior well laid out, very well stocked kitchen, extra sheets, pillows etc, easy access with key pad (no keys to keep track of), very comfortable bed & futon, efficient AC in both bedroom & living room, ability to use washer and dryer w/ easy access. I hope this place is available for our next trip!!
We had a great experience! Greg and Cindy were great hosts. The property had all of the amenities of home within a quiet neighborhood. We could walk to the beach and everything is within a 30 minute drive. Kailua has become one of our favorite places and we would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights and everything was great. Check-in was easy and Greg was very friendly and willing to help, if needed. Parking was convenient and the place is only about 7 minutes from the beach and to all nearby restaurants and grocery stores.
We especially liked the availability of beach gear that is included. My wife and I packed our car each morning with beach chairs, umbrella and towels. An added perk that really added to our vacation.
No complaints at all with our stay. The bed was comfy, 2 A/C's (one in bedroom and 1 in living room), all kitchen amenities needed (even a blender which was great.
Would definitely recommend and we would love to be back.
This was a great little spot as a home-base for exploring the island. It is located in a nice quiet neighborhood & anytime we were there we'd have our meals outside on the covered lanai. Neighbors walking their dogs would often say hi which felt very welcoming. Well-equipped including everything you could need in the kitchen, beach gear, a cooler, cloth bags for purchases, etc. The closest beach entrance is a bit of a walk (but well worth viewing the sunrise from) & Kailua town and the main beach are a bit further away, but still just a quick drive. Greg was very responsive with answers to all our questions. Our entire stay was very relaxing!!
We loved out stay at Greg's place. It was clean, equipped with anything you could want and Greg was friendly and helpful. Waking up each morning, listening to the birds, reading my book on the front lanai while drinking coffee was the perfect way to start each day. Our kids appreciated the toy collection and we appreciated the very well stocked kitchen!
We had to work and do distance learning during our stay and it worked really well in the space.
We wish we could have stayed longer!
Gracious and responsive hosts. Wonderful quiet location, friendly neighbors and wonderful Kailua experience. Having lived in Kailua before, this is an excellent place to stay.
Rental is located on the owners property and has a private entrance. Entire unit is pleasantly decorated with comfortable seating. The kitchen was well equipped with generous counter space that made cooking very easy. Crock pot, Keurig coffeemaker, lots of fresh spices and ziplock bags, foil and the like were some extras that I didn't expect. Bed was comfortable. Warm lighting was plentiful and relaxing. No problems with the TV or internet.
I wish we’d come here sooner. Rather than dwell at some hotel, live in a home with all the necessary amenities for lounging or beaching. And, at this home, the hosts are particularly welcoming and generous. This corner unit was clean, lovely, and filled with thoughtful touches. The bed was soft and comfortable. The futon opened flat to a full size, reported as 54” to 75”. The shower was strong and hot. The wifi worked well. The dedicated parking spot, like living here, was easy.
The owners are delightful, and staying here makes you feel like you are in your own home! I can't say enough good things as there aren't enough words. It's a perfect 1 bedroom apartment/house - no steps, a modern kitchen, air conditioned, and extremely comfortable. You can't go wrong booking this property!

About the host
Hosted by Greg
Aloha, I'm a husband, father, jack of all trades, coach of all sports. I was raised in Hawaii. Hawaii has so much to offer and I hope you get the chance to visit and explore this incredible island.
Why they chose this property
My wife and I grew up in Kailua so we know it well. It's so close to the beach, restaurants and grocery stores. The small town feeling and tight community remind us of our younger growing up days. It was so great that we were able to own a home in the beautiful town that we grew up in.
What makes this property unique
The beach is beautiful with it's white sand, friendly people and mostly calm waters. Never really rough, even in the winter when the North Shore surf spots are reaching 25 feet - Kailua bay will stay nice and mellow. A perfect beach for swimming and boogie boarding. There is a small covered patio on the corner, next to the coconut trees, for meals or just for enjoying that morning coffee while watching joggers and dog walker going by.
