Beautiful home within walking distance to the beach!
The house was perfect for our stay. I picked this home based on the many positive reviews, and we definitely made the right decision. This place was perfect for me and my family. It is clean and very spacious, with the owner being very accommodating. This trip was at the top of our list as one of the best vacations we’ve had.

Place was as described and very spacious. Living area was large and bedrooms were perfectly sized. Kitchen was fully equipped and the whole place was very clean. Equipped with both ceiling fans and A/C in all living g areas so it was great. Location is near shops and easy location to the beach with a short walk. We had a great overall stay!!!
Perfect location close to our very favorite beach- Kailua beach. 3 pack n plays were available at the house along with multiple air mattresses and snorkel gear, sand toys, boogie boards, chairs, beach towels, etc. everything you could need.

Great house, amazing host
Kelly's house is great and we had a very good time in it. But what makes the difference with other rentals is her kindness and efficiency to help when needed. Thanks again Kelly! :-)

Hi Gene,
It was a pleasure meeting you and your family. Thank you for taking care of the home.

Great location to walk to Kailua town and the beach. It is on a busy street but the location was worth it. It’s a little dark and could use more lighting. I’d also warn people about the step down into the master bathroom. We found out the hard way.

Loved it!
This was a perfect location for our needs. There was more than what was advertised. Just the little things like a full spice rack and extras in the fridge and cupboards. Full BBQ amenities and beach things as well as lots of pillows and blankets and even toys for the kids. It was great! Thank u for the amazing venue and experience!

Spacious, Fun & Walk to Everything
This was a great place to stay -- clean, simple beach cottage with many thoughtful amenities. Nice big kitchen and two living areas, so the kids can play in one while the adults talk in the other. Kelly always responded quickly to any question we had and was most helpful. She even had wood for a fire in the fire pit out back which the grandkids loved. The only thing to consider is that there is no AC. Air flows through the living areas pretty well, but two of the three bedrooms are without AC units and were very warm, even with the ceiling fans, on the days it was hot. Overall though, a very lovely place to stay in a great location.

Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the feedback. We found a way to install additional AC's a few days ago as these past 2 weeks were hotter than usual, even for the cool side of the island. It was great meeting you and your family. Warmest Aloha, Kelly

Nothing great
We booked this because we needed both properties to accommodate our group. The pictures definitely make the property looking better than it is. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely uncomfortable. Several of the dishes in the cupboards were dirty. The house had a musty smell to it.
The location isn’t bad but it was hard to access the property because parking was around the side and in back of the house. The front gate had broken recently so there was a pile of boulders in the middle of the backyard.
We were disappointed overall, it just didn’t seem very well maintained and could definitely use some updating.
This is a great space. Walking into a large entrance/dinning room area, open plan kitchen and down a few stairs into a lovely lounge. It’s a great relaxing space and loads of room to make use of.
The bedrooms are all you need with walk in wardrobes in each one, and tv in two of them. Two bedrooms have double beds and third bedroom has twin beds. We were treated to a visitor one night - Gary the gecko. Cute tiny guy - easy to catch though and we put him outside.
Shower in the main bathroom has better pressure than the en suit.
Great things were:
Amazing space
Great range of things in the kitchen
Lots of options to watch on the telly
Huge washing machine - a god send for us
Perfect location
Items to make use of to go to the beach like blow ups and boards.
Extra blow up beds if needed.
Lovely kind host.
Things could improve with
We struggled a bit with the air con - one bedroom gets particularly hot. Host very responsive though.
Some extra covers/blankets for bed - or options in the room.
A hanging line for washing
Main bedroom bed a little creaky
Overall - thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This property was wonderful ! Perfect location for our vacation / wedding needs for the adult family ! Kelly was outstanding in her communication and responsiveness to our questions . Access to restaurants and beaches was perfect ! Thank you for making our stay filled with lifetime memories !
The house is within walking distance of a nice beach and includes beach equipment. Neighborhood is nice with stores and restaurants near. House is older but adequate for a beach vacation or as a base for exploring the island.

Experienced a double-booking situation, while the owner did provide a compensation, it was an inconvenience of having a smaller place than desired without seeing - as well as having to pack up everything and move midway through our stay.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The owner responded to questions prior to the trip efficiently. She lives on property in an adjacent dwelling so was available for any help during the stay. The property is a 12 minute walk to the beach with easy access to shops, restaurants and grocery stores. Lots of different beach items available which made beach visits fun. We enjoyed several relaxing days at this property.
My family stayed here for (9) nights and really enjoyed this house. The open floor plan was nice to hang out in while were not at the beach, and the AC units were nice to have. You can't beat this location which is walking distance to town and beaches. The house included beach knick knacks (boogieboards, toys, etc) for our use. Definitely a laid back vibe. Biggest downsides, which were not really problematic to us, the path to parking spot is tight (not sure that a large SUV would fit), the kitchen could have used more cooking utensils and bowls, and the back sliding door was easily unlocked from the outside. Would consider coming back again. Our host was next door but never bothered us and it was great to know we could get help quickly if needed.

Really great location
Owner is super responsive and the check-in and check-out process was really easy. Neighborhood is great and felt safe in the area. Very close to many restaurants, necessities, and beaches.
Home is slightly worn, we needed more towels, and the ac units were nice, but installed with duct tape around the windows. In one of the rooms, the duct tape was wearing off and was leaving the window exposed. Otherwise great stay.

Hi Melanie,
It was a pleasure hosting you and your family. The home is a vintage home-one of the first home developments in Kailua in the 1940's. It has a long and interesting history. The very unique windows are the original windows and hardware from when it was built over 70 years ago. We chose to preserve the character of the home rather than altering its vintage charm while still providing cooling AC when necessary.
It was great having you.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this home. It is located within walking distance to Kailua Town and had plenty of space for movie watching and card game playing. Each bedroom has its own A/C unit which we were grateful for as we adjusted to the temperatures and humidity of Hawaii!
This house was perfect for our friends and family stay. It is spacious so had plenty of room. It is a quick trip to the beach, which was important for us. Our hostess Kelly is kind and answered all our questions. Thank you, we enjoyed our stay!
Loved this rental property for our family of 6 with 5 adults, one teenager. We were vacationing for the week. Perfectly located within a short walk to town(good shopping, close to grocery stores and great restaurants) and the Kailua beach. Nearby walking/bicycle trails. Not too far from the Lanikai pillbox hike. Plenty of room in the house and a nice backyard for BBQs. Other perks: outdoor shower and laundry, free parking.! We ate most of our meals at the house. With the 6 of us, it would have been nice to have more utensils and glassware, but otherwise the kitchen is well stocked with cookware. The house is fenced/gated and off the road, but there is some traffic noise which was not a problem with use of A/c and room fans. There was a minor glitch in checking in(we went to the other rental unit on the property first), but this was quickly resolved by the owner. The owner also reimbursed us for a DVD player we purchased on island. I highly recommend this rental house.
Huge family room was a bonus! Walking distance to town, small fenced yard perfect for young grandsons. Shared laundry a bonus! We really enjoyed our stay!
