Kolea Landing Modern Beach House w/ Double Suite and Third Bedroom Option

Aloha and Welcome to Kolea Landing
A short walk (less than 400 steps to be exact) and you will be relaxing at Lanikai Beach! Our 2,200 sf guest house is the perfect blend of island and modern living. Our guest house has a master bedroom (king bed) with an en suite bathroom, a second master bedroom (king bed) with an attached bathroom, and for groups (5-6 person) we have a third bedroom (two twin xl beds), for groups of 4 or less our third bedroom will be locked. Our guest house is complete with a full size kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, and outdoor lanai. Our property also includes 2 off street parking, which is coveted if you have ever been to Lanikai. Prime location and tons of amenities!

The space
Island life meets modern luxury. Hawaii is all about nature and our guest house emulates the calm and peaceful serenity that embodies Kailua. Please note that all bedrooms are located upstairs (see photos). Air Conditioning is provided in each room with separate controls, motorized blackout roller shades in each bedroom and privacy shades everywhere else. Fast 300 Mbps WiFi and cable tv. Amazon Alexa controls for lights. Amazon Music provide on Alexa. There is a smart home remote that can control lights, shades, and fans. We also provide a beach wagon with beach chairs, umbrella, and beach towels for our guest!

Private guest house has a private yard and patio. Keyless (4-digit) guest specific pass code will be provide after booking prior to arrival.

Other things to note
We aim to provide you with worry free accommodations. We do have a cleaning fee to ensure that our guest suite is cleaned thoroughly (check our reviews!). We don't have chore lists or tasks that you need to do. We would love to meet you, but also totally respect your privacy, if you need anything or have any questions we are usually able to respond or answer questions within the hour. We strive to provide sustainable and organic products as much as possible. Shampoo conditioner and body wash are sustainable and non-toxic organic coconut body wash, shampoo and conditioner from Zogics. This home is equipped with solar water heating and photovoltaic electricity. Driveway is shared with the owner/host, however guests have two parking spaces available.

Lanikai (Ka'ohao) is absolutely breathtaking. From the serene white sand beach to the Pillboxes (Ka'iwa Ridge) spectacular view, few places have it all. Lanikai beach and the Pillbox hike are a few minute walk from our guest suite (2-4 min). Kailua beach is right around the corner and Kailua Town shopping and dining is a few minutes drive.

This property is a legally established dwelling that is rented for periods of 30 consecutive day minimum. There is no penalty for early departures so you can book for a shorter stay as agreed upon on the site. This is in accordance with City and County of Honolulu ordinance section 19-18. A 30 rental agreement to be included.

Beautiful vacation home

Kolea Landing was the perfect spot for our family vacation. The house was spacious, clean, well supplied and just a short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. We enjoyed the private outdoor living space overlooking a beautifully manicured yard. Our hosts were kind, accommodating and very responsive. Highly recommend this property!

It was perfect for us

My husband and I were looking for a comfortable and spacious place in which we both could work in the morning and then spend the afternoon enjoying Oahu. The guest house was great for us. At night after dinner we would go into the back yard and take in the stars.

We absolutely loved this house and can’t wait to return. The house was super clean and had everything we need. You can’t beat the location -It’s a block from the beach and they provide a useful cart with chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and towels. You can tell they have put a lot of care into the home (and upkeep). We highly recommend staying here!!

Perfect Lanikai House

My kids and I celebrated Thanksgiving at this beautifully appointed modern beach house. We felt like we were staying in our home in Hawaii. I’m very grateful that I was able to cook a Thanksgiving feast for my family while also spending time on the beach while things were cooking. Joshua was a 5 star host for sure! He went above and beyond to accommodate our delays in our travel plans. I can’t wait until my next stay there! Mahalo for making our holiday perfect!!

Even better than we thought it was going to be!

This property is perfect for a family stay in Lanikai. The house is so large and allows you to be comfortable. The house has everything you could need. Just needs a clothesline :) We were so very happy with our stay. We always enjoy Lanikai, however this time it was even better due to the accomodation. Thank you to Josh and Jaymie. Communication was also great while we were there. Always contactable. When we return, we will be staying at Kolea!

Kolea Landing is a beautiful property, from interior to exterior! Hosts, Josh and Jaymie did an amazing job. It’s a very close walk to a beautiful beach. They were very responsive to any requests or questions we had. It is a “smart home” and we had one issue with the blinds closing, but Jaymie was very responsive in helping us out. All the little touches they did, made you feel very welcomed! I would definitely stay here again!! 😊

We stayed at Josh’s home the past week and all of us absolutely loved it. The home is so well laid out and well appointed. You’re steps to Lanikai beach and the wagon that comes with the house made that short walk even easier. Beds are super comfortable! We stayed with my parents and our almost 9 year old. The house was a perfect base for us to get out to various excursions and we all loved that we were not in Honolulu. Each of us commented on how beautiful and comfortable the house is, and that we wouldn’t change a thing! Mahalo Josh for creating such a beautiful retreat!

Immaculate vacation home in paradise

Looking for a newly remodeled and immaculate vacation home on one of Oahu‘s most picturesque beaches? You found the perfect rental here. Josh and Jammie’s were excellent with communication from day one and continued to be in touch during our visit., even providing local food recommendations. The property is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean and very spacious for a party of six. There’s lots of room in the backyard to relax and Kona coffee stocked in the kitchen. He even has a set of stand up paddle boards to borrow for the week as well as a wagon, chairs, umbrella, and sand toys. We’ll be coming back!

I can't say enough good things about this home and our hosts. The property is breathtakingly beautiful and beach-chic appointed. It's clean, modern and very comfortable. The beach is spectacular and just an easy, 5 minute walk from front door to salt water. We were able to swim, snorkel and paddleboard with gorgeous views of two islands off Lanikai. And with views of the pillbox hike (also a short walk away to the trail head) it's got everything. The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms, spa-like with stocked with everything you would need. Hands-down, this is the best rental property we've ever experienced. We will definitely stay at this property again, or any property owned/managed by Josh and Jayme.

First time renting a property

We were in Oahu for my daughter’s wedding. This was the first time we ever rented a property. I always worry about if pictures on these sites match what reality is. We were thrilled with this property. It was everything and more that we were hoping for. It’s a beautiful home with a very impressive property. We were just a block from the beach! Relaxing vacation in Kailua private house

We had a wonderful time in Kailua. Joshua was attentive and offered to help us with the house amenities. The house was beautiful, comfortable, and quiet. When we weren’t swimming at the beach we enjoyed a couple local hikes, afternoon cat naps, relaxing on the back patio, and chasing our toddler around in the private backyard. The kitchen and stove were great to cook quick, easy meals when we weren’t out enjoying the local cuisine. The little things such as a warm water shower on the outside to rinse off the seawater, comfortable beds and individual room climate control really made our stay relaxing and rejuvenating. If I were to recommend anything, and it’s a small request, it would be to have an easier smart home experience with the Alexa commands. We tried operating the smart devices verbatim per the instructions folder. The results were inconsistent and often hilarious. Good thing there was a remote or switch to operate them without any more effort. Overall, this was a great place to enjoy quality time with my family. Being able to go swimming, hiking, and then enjoying downtime in such ease made our Hawaiian family reunion memorable. Mahalo.

Beautiful property very close to beach

The house was very comfortable and very thoughtfully designed. The owner was kind enough to even leave us some beach toys for the kids to play with. The wagon with the beach chairs and boogie boards was very convenient as well. The beach was just a two minute walk from the house and amazingly beautiful with such good snorkeling right at the beach. The house also had a very convenient outdoor shower area where we could rinse off the sand before entering the house. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely rent again if in this area.

Lanikai perfection!

This is an amazing home for a laidback beach get away. House was clean and more than comfortable for a couple and two singles. Kitchen was stocked for cooking, and bathrooms had ample towels, bath soaps and shampoo. For the 1 minute walk to the beach (did I mention perfect location) the home was stocked with loads of beach towels, beach chairs and an umbrella. Check-in was easy and owner came out to greet us right away and offered some great suggestions for some local restaurants. I truly hope to stay again and hate to tell anyone else about this amazing spot. Would love to keep it a secret!

My family and I fell in love with this property. We love the open concept and the little things that Josh and his wife thought of to make this place so enjoyable on our vacation. The location was perfect. All convenient walking distance to Lanikai Beach and to the Pillbox. What can I say more, amazing place and amazing hosts! We'll definitely be back!
