Satisfactory house with great waterfront access
House - an older house but a good amount of space and good amount of beds. It can feel dated, although updates have been made through some of the house. Kitchen could use some better pans. Overall it was sufficient for our family. Property- on a nice quiet street with a good restaurant at the end. a very big yard with amazing waterfront and palm trees, with many iguana. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and caught at least 5 different types of fish, including mangrove snapper and barracuda. A deep freezer located right by the water was really convenient to keep bait. We loved spending mornings watching the sun rise and saw a manatee on the last day and possibly an alligator. It's a great area around which to kayak. The kids played pool a few times on the pool table. The hot tub could use work as it seems the circulating pump was either clogged or not working, but soaking was nice. Amenities - there are some big pluses in some amenities that come with the house, but take them with a grain of salt. There are 7 bikes there, but maybe 2-3 of them are serviceable. There are about 4 kayaks, including a "Jon boat" that our family of 5 got in, but also one of them had a hole in the bottom (the one with the clear bottom). There are some fishing poles but most were broken; I made one good one out of pieces of others. I'm glad these things were here; I just want to set expectations.Location - great location on Marathon. I could easily bike to 7 mile bridge. Very close to Publix.
