Your own private entrance leads you to a comfortable, large living area, sunroom, dining area and private screened in porch. Enjoy the serene bedroom and spacious bathroom, with linens & towels provided. Keurig, Convection Toaster Oven, Microwave, Medium size Fridge with Freezer, Basic Kitchen Utensils & Dinnerware, & Small Gas Grill also provided. This delightful home is located in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for walking or jogging and even has private Sound access with a sandy beach - a perfect spot for launching kayaks or just enjoying the peace. 5 minutes from public beach access. Marsh Mellow relaxing stay

Jackie was an amazing host. She was responsive to questions about the island and things to do. She even had a few snacks waiting for us when we arrived late at night. It was such a comfortable and clean environment to relax and explore the Outer Banks for our first trip there. Would highly recommend staying here. Location was great, views of the marsh and ocean, and very comfortable setting.

Peaceful stop

I stayed at Marsh Mellow while driving through Cape Hatteras. The beautiful tranquil oasis was just the perfect spot for a rejuvenation I needed for a long journey ahead. The surrounding marshes and the beautiful landscape were breathtaking. Jackie was a great hostess and I had everything I needed for my restoration .

Coming back for my honeymoon

I’m not even dating right now, but at least I have my honeymoon VRBO picked out. It was incredible. The most magical part of our trip was this VRBO. It is exactly like the pictures and I can’t wait to come back. Jackie was so kind and even let us take a few of her shells home. We loved it!

Great Stay at Marsh Mellow

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marsh Mellow! The location was perfect for our bird watching activities, and the owner was very responsive when I needed to reach her. I would definitely recommend Marsh Mellow and would stay there again when back in the area!

Amazing stay, will return!

10/10 experience staying here. Jackie is a wonderful host and had great communication throughout the stay. The property was very clean and perfect for a lowkey girls weekend! Plenty to do around town and the beach is just a short drive away. Very peaceful. Would love to return again sometime!

Nice stay even in a hurricane...

Very nice and clean. Jackie was wonderful to deal with. Had a great week even with sharing it with Hurrican Debby... No complaints. Highly recommend staying here!

Elegant, Charming, Comfortable and Cozy

The property is beautiful from the grounds to the views and the living spaces. The host, Jackie, added special touches, including a welcome snack on our arrival to providing all the comforts of home. Our visit was brief but we hope to return to Marsh Mellow in the future.

Great Stay

Property exceeded expectations, very clean and comfortable. Very spacious and the sun room made for great scenery. Location is great, short trip to either end of the island. Host was very accommodating and communicative, would definitely stay again.

Great getaway in obx

Serene Bay Stay

Lovely place inside and out. Absolutely spotless when we arrived. Jackie was friendly and had awesome amenities for us. The view was amazing and we saw many frogs and even a gecko. You’ll wish you booked a longer stay!

A friend and I wanted to take a trip together like we use to. Neither of us had been to the Outer Banks so that’s where we went. Angie was very helpful and she had several suggestions for places to ear and sightseeing. The apartment was very clean and decorated lovely. We would go back there again.

Beautiful place to stay! So quiet and comfortable. Nicely furnished with everything you need. Plenty of places to eat close by. You can go to the beach, nearby attractions or take a nice break at the Marsh Mellow. It’s perfect!

Senior Special

This was a beautiful place, especially for seniors—no steps and a lot of throw blankets to keep us warm. The place had a big bedroom with a comfortable bed and the living room was beautiful decorated and with a huge bathroom. Our hostess with above in accommodating us when our grand children came and stayed one night. The apartment is well stocked with everything you would need if you wanted to eat in.

Bay beach oasis

Clean, beautiful, and minutes away from the beach. Jackie was a wonderful host and went out of her way to make sure we felt comfortable. We couldn’t find the grill, and when we came back from the beach Jackie surprised us with a new grill on the patio and a plate of seafood appetizers. Just an example of what an amazing host she is. We would feel lucky to come back!

Green oasis

Beautiful private space with a great marsh view. Loved watching herons and osprey in the marsh. Great book selections for a rainy day in, and very convenient to beach access, sound access, good local restaurants. Comfortable bed and everything needed to cook simple meals, even cookies and k-cups supplied, which was great for arrival after a busy morning! So nice to have an outside hose available to rinse off sandy feet. Easy parking for our full-size truck and very responsive host. Loved our short stay and looking forward to returning for longer someday!

Beautiful tranquil retreat

The view was beatiful, the apartment was private, quiet and clean. Jackie provided anything you could imagine even a platter of goodies to eat as we arrived early evening and the resturants close early. Ther were egrets and and great blue herons outside our window.

Great little place on Hatteras

Very cute one bedroom apartment. Essentially the first floor of a house with a hallway, kitchenette, large living room, outdoor deck, screened porch, very cute sun room and good sized bedroom and bathroom. My wife and I stayed here for 4 days while driving off road around the Hatteras seashore and it was perfect for us. The place comes with a private parking spot and is almost equidistant between Buxton and Frisco. Really nice place in a quiet neighborhood.
