Go elsewhere

This is the first really crappy stay we\'ve had using WP and we\'ve used them over a dozen times between personal and work travel. When you arrive, the location is good (exactly as expected) and the complex itself is well kept. We didn\'t even mind that the carpets are quite dirty looking when we entered the unit as it\'s more of a family stay kind of place and it wasn\'t exactly 5-star price point (our stay was just under $3000 for 4 nights). However, too many things just didn\'t work in the unit or needed repair. The day before we arrived they called to tell us the oven had died and they\'d put in a convection oven for our stay. I didn\'t know what that meant but when we showed up there was a toaster oven on the counter that was pretty much useless for a group of 6. It was tiny and definitely not the type of replacement oven I had expected to see upon arrival. We had to break our first night\'s meal into several stages so we could cook bits at a time and it took hours to make dinner using it. We complained that it wasn\'t workable for us and they gave us a $300 credit towards our next stay with them (which we appreciated and we understand it\'s not their fault the oven recently died). However, we tried to use the BBQ the next night to make dinner and it didn\'t work either! We could smell the gas so presumed the starter button was broken when we tried to use it. However, there was no igniter, etc. anywhere in the unit to try to bypass the starter so we called WP again and they said they\'d come the next day. Another dinner scramble on the toaster oven that night.... Then, at 5 pm the next day, they showed up to fix the BBQ but we are now late in day 3 of a 4-day stay and already had made dinner plans out for that night. The cherry on the top for this unit being a bad choice though was the main blinds were broken (so a wide open main window) and WP couldn\'t fix them so you couldn\'t sit facing the windows in the afternoon without getting blinded by the sun. Plus, on both Friday and Saturday night the unit directly across from that window had parties with a strobe light which you now couldn\'t avoid from our unit! You can\'t make this stuff up! It was entertaining for a few minutes to watch shirtless young people have fun but as the nights progressed we had to relocate to the kitchen area on the other side of the unit to unwind. It also impacted one kid\'s sleep but thankfully we easily rectified that by moving him to another bed. Overall, I\'d give this a one-star experience and I wish we\'d booked something else. That is the sole reason for writing this review as I wish someone had warned us that things didn\'t work. I definitely wouldn\'t book this unit until it gets some TLC. As for WP, we have always had pleasant experiences and recommended them and have already booked our next Whistler stay with them (we booked it before this trip). However, for the stay after that we\'ll look to see what some other companies offer because we just weren\'t satisfied with their response. Everything from not wearing a mask when entering our unit to try to fix things (we are vaccinated but the kids aren\'t as too young to receive it) to not ensuring the units they rent out are properly functioning was definitely disappointing. That\'s their main job and they didn\'t do it well before renting this unit to us.

Main ensuite

Would be nice to have a shelf in shower area rather than bending to.floor to retrieve soap etc and shower drain is very slow to drain hence standing in dirty water. Otherwise very comfortable.

Simply put: This place has it all.

I stayed here for 3 nights end of Feb, early March and it was tremendous. Easy check in process with wonderful, attentive staff. You check in at a general reception, and get the keys, information, etc, and it\'s quick 1 min drive down to the garage. Underground, secured parking which is great. Just stepping foot into the place is awesome. They have everything ready. Clean (spotless), warm, cozy, and ready for your stay. The layout is amazing. Much bigger than in the photos. Huge kitchen, BBQ on the deck, and everything you need. Living room has a fireplace which was awesome and was perfect for quiet nights with a book. The location is great - you can come right off Blackcomb to ski in after a day on the hill as well. There are shuttles right to the village which is great as well - basically right outside your door - 5 min down the road and they come every 15 min. Hot tub was awesome. Definitely take advantage of that. Super comfortable bedrooms, lots of room and space and just overall an awesome time. I highly recommend this place and cannot find one even slightly negative thing to say about it... Well, only that I wish I could\'ve stayed longer! Cheers for having me. Derek

Not Really a Platinum Experience

The directions to find and access the unit and park were insufficient. We were only able to get in due to the help of other guests (who had found their parking key) who told us they had the same problem trying to park and find their unit. There should be signs to provide information to new guests and a map to find the unit. The parking spots are very narrow. We have a new vehicle and the person parking next to us parked over the line into our space and we were unable to access our car for several days. There was half of the parking lot empty and the few cars there were forced to park next to each other-this doesn\'t make sense in shoulder season why not let the cars spread out if there are so many empty spaces? It was a beautiful unit architecturally, but it was not clean. We found used tissues on the floor and on lamps in the bedrooms and a dirty sock in the couch (we have pictures of this if anyone is interested). This was disappointing given the pandemic and did not meet our expectations. The bathrooms did appear to be well cleaned. Almost all of the appliances did not work properly if at all. We came to spend the long weekend with friends and cook gourmet meals together. Most of the elements on the stove either did not work at all or did not work properly. The oven did not work properly and would not maintain heat. We had to use the toaster oven. The wine fridge also did not work. The dishwasher and hot tub worked well. The fan in the main living room did not work and one of the blinds in the main living room also didn\'t work. We did have a great time because we got to spend time with good friends but the unit did not meet our expectations unfortunately.

Can’t wait to come back

Bright and spacious townhouse in the Upper Village. Large windows, tall ceilings and high end furniture. Very spacious and comfortable for my family of 8. The unit can accommodate 11. Oven wasn’t working (we were warned ahead of time) but the temporary convection oven sufficed. Hot tub was a bonus (note: showers run cold when hot tub is in use). Kitchen was sufficiently stocked with equipment, but you will have to bring your own basics like cooking oil, coffee, tea etc. There were enough cups and dishware for about 10 people so we ran the dishwasher a lot. Overall, I’d recommend this unit for groups and large families. We look forward to coming back.

Exceptional location and place!

This property is very special. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. This is an end unit which added to the experience; being surrounded by the trees and mountain. We were so sad to leave. Highly recommend this unit. Thank you!
