Excellent!!!

Accommodations were wonderful. Very nicely decorated as shown in their pictures. Convenient location outside of town...within walking distance and on the line for transportation pickup. The host for the property was also amazing with communications!!!!

Lovely weekend on Nantucket

We had a wonderful time on Nantucket last weekend. The room was spotless and nicely decorated and the host was super-friendly and responsive. The room has a small fridge (we much appreciated) and the AC was working great (also much appreciated) as it was uncharacteristically warm that weekend. The house is a 10 minute walk to the center of town in one direction and a 10 minute walk to several wonderful breakfast spots in the other direction. My sister and I had a great time and would rent this room again!

Lovely room

Lovely room that I unfortunately didn’t get to stay in due to hurricane Henry (I chose to leave the island early due to the storm). The room is very nice and cool, with a brand new bathroom. There is no parking on site, but you can park on the road ~8min walk away. It is a nice simple one bedroom spot.

The landlord is a horrible person

When I went to check in I was met by Mike who runs the place. He showed me to the door which was fine but then he told me I had to move my car before I brought in my luggage. Not in a friendly way. I asked where I was supposed to park it and he told me my extremely high priced reservation did not include parking. So I asked what I was supposed to do and he told it was not his problem. I told him there was nothing on VRBO that mentions no parking. He told me that there was nothing on the site that said parking was included. I guess I just assumed a place miles outside of town would include parking. So I said fine refund my reservation and I would find another place. He said no to that idea so I proceeded unpack the car. I tried to find another room but I was on an island that was completely booked. He responded by calling the police. Yes the police. So I unpacked the car and left to go to dinner. On the way out he was waiting for the police. I told him I intended to give him this review, hoping to protect future people having to be subject tosuch an awful person. I changed my vacation plans and left immediately the next morning as I did not feel safe. I slept with a chair up against the door fearful of this crazy host. If you disregard this warning good luck. This property does not belong on VRBO.

With all due respect -all of my references speak for themselves. During the five years of renting my property out on VRBO I have never had any issues or negative reviews. I take pride in making sure my guests have a great stay. This guest arrived with his car and expected parking which was not included in his rental. When I told him he would have to park down the street he refused to move his car, which was blocking four other cars on the property. To avoid further confrontation with this angry man, I had no choice but to call the police and let them handle the situation. I also called VRBO to alert them to the issues with this guest. Respectfully, Mike

Attacking owner

We signed up for two adults in this unit. On our second night, the owner called my cellphone accusing us of having more people. I told him that he was incorrect since only two adults were staying on the premises. I informed him that our children were staying on a boat. He then accused us of letting them take showers. I informed him that young kids (8 and 11) don’t take many showers and only went to the bathroom. Also, water stained ceiling from upstairs A/C and water stained wood floors. Not a pleasant experience for us and will not recommend this location.

After watching children and another adult come and go from the one bedroom rental. I called the renter to ask if in-fact these extra people were staying there. I did not accuse just asked the question. . When I was told the children were infact my renters children but they were not staying there. I did inquire if they were using the amenities. At no time did I accuse -just wanted to be informed of who was staying in the one bedroom rental booked for only 2 people.
