WHAT DO WE LOVE MOST ABOUT OUR HOME?
What we love most about our home is the feeling it gives you the moment you walk in, like Summer has officially started. Even in the Winter, this is a very cozy home. It’s warm, relaxed, and full of character. Built in 1910, it still holds so much of its original charm, but we’ve lovingly updated it to make it comfortable for modern life.
We especially love mornings on the front porch with a cup of coffee and evenings grilling in the backyard under the string lights while the kids play on the turf. The layout is spacious enough for everyone to gather around the dining table or find a quiet nook for some downtime. And being just two blocks from the beach? That never gets old...there’s something magical about being able to grab a towel, a chair, a drink, and be at the water in five minutes.
It’s the kind of house where memories stick with laughter in the kitchen, sandy feet on the porch, and late-night card games around the table. That’s what we love most! It invites you to slow down, soak it in, and just enjoy being together.
And if you’re looking for something even closer to the beach, here’s our beach block listing: https://www.vrbo.com/3384710?unitId=3957838

About the host
Hosted by chrissy hartman
Hi! I'm Chrissy. I grew up at the Jersey Shore, right outside of Atlantic City, where my family still lives. I've been in Philadelphia for 28 years. I moved there for college and have been there ever since. I attended an art school here in Philadelphia, fell in love with the city, and never left. Now, I work in Center City as a commercial interior designer, combining my passion for art and design. Years ago, I worked on a hotel design project in Philadelphia, which sparked my love for the hospitality industry. I truly enjoy hosting and creating a special experience for guests like you!
In our free time, I enjoy entertaining, painting, drawing, dining out, traveling, home improvements, and, of course, spending time at the beach. Dave is a huge sports fan and plays in a local soccer league. We both love hosting, and Dave is an incredible cook!
We have two small, adorable children who keep us very busy! They love watching us put so much care and love into our homes—something we hope you’ll enjoy during your stay.
Meeting people like you has been such a fun experience for us, and our goal is to ensure you're happy and comfortable during your stay in our home.

Why they chose this property
We chose Lower Chelsea, Atlantic City, for several reasons! It’s a quieter, more residential part of AC with a charming, historic feel while still being close to the boardwalk, beach, and all the entertainment the city offers. The neighborhood has a strong sense of community, beautiful homes, and easy access to great dining, shopping, and outdoor activities. Plus, with family nearby and my love for the beach, it’s the perfect place to enjoy both relaxation and convenience.
What makes this property unique
I’m a sucker for old homes and absolutely love renovating them to bring their beauty back to life. The original hardwood floors, the charming old-time window cornices, and the restored kitchen cabinets are some of my favorite features.
This home is truly special to us. We fell in love with its 100+ years of history and charm, and while we renovated it, we made sure to preserve the integrity of the old Atlantic City feel while updating the essentials. This home has such good energy, and you'll immediately feel relaxed the moment you step onto the front porch. It holds so many stories and memories, and we’re excited for it to create many more! The front porch stays shaded, offering a cool retreat on those hot summer days. Perfectly located just 2 blocks from the beach and 1 block from the bay, the house is also within walking distance to a variety of nearby attractions. Plus, the Jitney stop is only half a block away. Situated on a quiet, tree-lined street with wonderful neighbors, it’s the ideal spot to unwind.
And be sure to check out the pull-out old-school ironing board in the foyer—it’s a fun, unique touch! :)
