This property is a family-owned 800 square foot tower apartment on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. There is a full kitchen, living area with a queen size sleeper sofa, and a bedroom with two queen size beds. It is part of the Zilli Collection. Each with the Zilli touch of amazing view, decor, (not typical wicker furniture, silly beach artifacts, 40 year old flooring, one SIZE fits all, etc.). We call it upscale coastal. The properties are more of a resort, 5 star hotel feel. We own an elegant upscale home next door, a penthouse unit, a direct walk out unit, along with 2 units with the option to connect into one suite.
You’ll find everything you need on-site from free WIFI to dishes, linens, towels and even a few extras you may need for your stay like puzzles and soap. There is a pool and a covered area with grills and picnic tables overlooking the beach. Hope to see you soon at one of my beautiful vacation homes. All you need is your bathing suit and a toothbrush. The beach is just steps away.

Jim, the owner, was very easy to work with and was quick to reply to any and all of our inquiries. The on sight staff was great, very friendly and helpful.The view of the gulf and beech were perfect and only steps away from the unit.

Great view and a short walk to the beach. Watched a pod of dolphins swimming by each morning. Very relaxing and nice location. My wife and I enjoyed out time there.

Thank you, Rob and to you people reading this when he mentions a short walk to the beach it gives the impression it's not on the Gulf of Mexico. It is 60 feet to the sand and probably 100/120 yards maximum to the water.

Gorgeous View

We took a short couples getaway and absolutely loved our stay here. View from 2nd floor balcony was outstanding! Our condo was clean & well equipped. We were able to walk the beach in either direction and even saw a pod of Manatees. Restaurants in the area were also amazing.

The view from the balcony was as good as it gets- totally unobstructed and there was direct access on to a beautiful beach. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. This is a great vacation property. The host -Jim- was perfect. We received all the information we could want in plenty of time and Jim answered a number of queries (mainly around local restaurants etc)promptly and without fuss. Also, on our last day, we had a late flight out from Tampa and Jim let us have an extra 3 hours after normal check out time free of charge. This was a great help to us. We only had a brief stay but Jim made sure that it was perfect in every way.

Loved the location and view. The apartment kitchen area is extremely small with barely enough space to do any cooking. Water heater in the unit is extremely small. We had multiple issues with trying to get and maintain hot water while taking a shower. Thankfully it was just my wife and I, it would have taken 4 people a couple of hours to try and get showers done to go anywhere.

This unit is 800 ft.² 99% of one bedroom unit is between 300 and 800 ft.². It was designed by the company that has exclusive for American embassies around the world. Not a single unit anywhere has porcelain form from Italy draperiy accents and shades that you open and close with a button everything custom I've had no problem with anyone with the Schauer. I did a midweek check in with him and he said everything is fine. I have the copy he says I'll have some thoughts later obviously we were not the right fit. I will standby the rest of my reviews.

Jim Zilli grew up in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, area. He started coming to Longboat Key in the early 1980's. Jim had previously purchased the nearby two-bedroom villa and came to live in Longboat Key full-time in 2009. He then purchased the Tower 503 and Ocean Front 101 both of which have upscale touches equivalent to a Ritz or St. Regis suite.

Jim is CEO in the family’s Wisconsin on off-site catering special events business, so he has ample experience in hospitality. He finds great enjoyment and satisfaction helping guests have amazing vacations in his properties – many of whom come back year after year. “I have many families who I have gotten to know over the years and spent time , dining , golfing , helped them find realtors, and more,” says Jim.

Clients have complimented Jim’s style as attentive and not pushy. They appreciate he will check in with them during their stay. He wants renters to know he’s there for them.

Why they chose this property

The most obvious reason Jim chose Longboat Key is the weather and beauty of this location, and the Villa is located just steps from a world-class beach. Guests never run out of things to do, whether it’s enjoying the nightlife in nearby Sarasota or simply collecting shells along the white sand beach. The weather provides just enough variety so you won’t be bored. Unlike other areas of Florida, Longboat Key is quiet, safe and has a small-town feel he enjoys. The area feels remote and natural yet it’s easy to access with the Sarasota airport just 7 miles east of Sarasota or from Tampa, which is 40 minutes away.

One of Jim’s favorite things to do is golf, and (there are several world-class courses within a 20-minute drive). He also enjoys movies, and recommends the annual film festival in Sarasota. He keeps a running list of the many, many things there are to do in the area - so whether you like to swim, sunbathe, walk on the beach, golf, shop, or all of the above, Jim’s guests find plenty to keep themselves entertained. At the same time, the secluded location offers privacy and quiet so if you, like most of us, need to catch up on rest while you’re here, you can fall asleep to nothing more than the gentle sound of the surf.
