Walk to Town 41B Alpine Chalet is a self-contained studio and bedroom apartment on Lomond Crescent, Queenstown, with stunning lake and mountain views, contemporary finishes, and direct access to the Ben Lomond walking and mountain biking trail from the front door. Sleeping up to four guests, it suits couples, two friends travelling together, or a small family looking for a modern, well-located Queenstown base at an accessible price point.
The layout is open plan and works well for the space. One private enclosed queen bedroom provides a proper sleep space, while the living area includes a second queen bed for additional guests. Both beds are made up with crisp white linen and electric blankets — a detail that matters in Queenstown where evenings turn cold quickly regardless of the season. The kitchenette is well equipped for light self-catering, with a microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, and toaster making breakfast preparation easy before heading out for the day. A fully tiled bathroom, feature lighting, and a smart TV give the interior a polished, considered finish.
While the building above carries the classic alpine character of painted timber beams, 41B has its own identity — contemporary, light, and finished with clean lines throughout. Lake and mountain views carry through from the ground floor, with Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables visible from the property.
The Ben Lomond Trail connects directly from Lomond Crescent into some of the best walking and mountain biking terrain above Queenstown, with routes ranging from accessible ridgeline walks to a full summit climb with sweeping views across the Southern Alps.
Central Queenstown is a short walk away, putting restaurants, bars, the lakefront, Steamer Wharf, Queenstown Gardens, and the gondola base station all within easy reach on foot. For day trips further afield, Arrowtown is a 25 minute drive, Coronet Peak ski field approximately 30 minutes, and The Remarkables around 40 minutes.
For groups needing more space, Walk to Town 41A Alpine Chalet on the upper level of the same building sleeps six across three bedrooms and is available to book separately through QT Luxe Stays.
Walk to Town 41B Alpine Chalet includes free Wi-Fi, dedicated off-street parking, and a private entrance. Available for direct booking through QT Luxe Stays.

Good stay. Beautiful property, nice location that is quiet and walkable to everything in Queenstown. Pretty loud with the upstairs neighbors, so if your sleep schedules don't align could be an issue.
We stayed at 41B for two weeks and felt right at home immediately. The property was clean, comfortable, and incredibly welcoming, it truly had everything we needed for a long-term stay. The location is unbeatable, it’s so close to town that we didn't need a car to access local spots. Mike was a fantastic host and was super responsive to any questions we had. We honestly didn't want to leave! Highly recommend.
Thank you for a compact, cosy and warm stay in this lovely abode. We enjoyed a delightful week- long stay with our little family of four. Perched at the top of the hill in a suburban street this gem has a beautiful view of the mountains. It is walkable to town with a steep uphill return journey.
The place was great.
The check in was very easy, and everything was clean and tidy.
It was a short walk downhill to the shops and restaurants in Queenstown.
Fantastic location within walking distance to all of Queenstown. We found it difficult to find a parking spot for our car in town, so simply parked the car at the Chalet and walked everywhere. Within walking distance are many restaurants, shops & things to do. We took the Gondola and participated in the zip line & luge ride, which were both fun activities. The Chalet is modern, clean and nicely appointed. It has everything that you need for your stay.

This property is lovely but the driveway is not for the faint hearted driving or walking so not suited to older or low mobility people.
Whilst there is a kitchenette there is no hot plate only a small slow cooker and a sandwich press.
The lounge is lumpy and the bed in the main (enclosed) bedroom is not as nice as the one that is in the open area adjacent the kitchen.
It’s also a way out of town so you would preferably have a hire/car.
Otherwise a nice modern unit with a great view although partially obstructed by a hedge I wanted to hack down but didn’t
We enjoyed our stay in the chalet. It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The view of the lake and mountain from the lounge is great, and we were glad to be just out of the busy town centre. The only downside was a bit of noise from normal activity of tenants in the apartment above.
I take pride in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming space for guests. I enjoy traveling myself, so I understand what makes a stay truly enjoyable. Hosting allows me to offer that same experience to others.
Why they chose this property
Queenstown has an amazing mix of relaxed lakeside living and a lively atmosphere. There are great restaurants, scenic walks, and a friendly community. What I enjoy most is the balance—you can have a quiet morning by the lake and a vibrant evening in town.
What makes this property unique
My property stands out because it combines comfort with convenience in the heart of Queenstown. Guests can enjoy a quiet, cozy space while still being just minutes from the lake, town centre, and outdoor activities. It’s ideal for both adventure and relaxation.
