Cosy cottage with chilled out vibe, and spectacular view. Lots of bed options for bigger family. The deck is amazing to relax and admire the scenery. Quiet location close to town. We had a great time and look forward to coming back to stay.
We had a relaxing weekend at this fantastic location with a view. Clean and full of character, rainy-weather reading is provided, if you can take your eyes off the view.

Eccletic musty cottage
An eccletic cluttered cottage with a great view. Musty stale smell and dusty. Lots of unstable furniture and a steep staircase to access upstairs bedrooms. Has potential if decluttered and attention to a deep clean is given.
The house was awesome until we accidentally locked the keys inside when we went out for dinner. Very costly to get a locksmith to drive up from parramatta. . All the emergency contact numbers were locked inside the house with the keys 😣

Amazing view, disappointed with the house
We had read the reviews and were expecting simple accomodation. We were disappointed that the bathroom floor tiles were cracked and broken, shower leaked constantly, shower curtain was mouldy, oven didn’t work, and it was difficult to open the front door at times (we’re worried we were locked out a few times). The main bedroom accomodation was comfortable, but it was difficult for my children. The upstairs single bed was for a small child and my teenagers did not fit. The downstairs bedroom had an old smoke or cigarette smell embedded into the floors/wall, and my children both had to end up sleeping there. One on the single bed and one on the sofa bed. Most of the windows in the house were locked so we were unable to get fresh air to come through so we ended up buying a diffuser.
But the view was amazing! It made up for the disappointments, and we were able to get used to everything and enjoy our week. I wouldn’t stay again with the whole family, but would consider it just for a couple.
Views are amazing and can be enjoyed from almost every room in the property. The accommodation is about 3 star - comfortable without being luxurious. Very much enjoyed our stay.
The house was clean and cosy, the views are magnificent. I really appreciated that it had a stock of spices, cooking oil, salt, sugar, pepper, flour, etc. We enjoyed putting together a 1000 pieces puzzle that we found in the house. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
What an amazing, quaint house with beautiful interiors. Not to mention the mountain views- which you can enjoy from any room! Lots of fun games, books to keep whole family busy on rainy days. Can’t wait to come back

This place has great potential but they work against it. For example, the decking has a clear plastic covering to protect from the rain, but it really does ruin the view, and it was screwed in place so it couldn't be wound up.
Then when you don't want the view (i.e. privacy at night) the curtains are minimal. In the main bedroom there is one window with no curtains, so forget about not waking up at dawn. And why is the window in the bathroom clear glass with a view of the neighbour's attic?
There is a coffee machine but no coffee, stale tea, and a bag of half opened food that we had no idea what to do with.
The tiles in the bathroom are broken.
It is a good value place for a larger group wanting to stay in the mountains, but it isn't a great retreat.
We stayed last year September or October and we loved it so we came back to this house again this time.
Very cozy and good location.
Of course, fantastic views are the best!
Thank you!!
Cute and quirky property with everything you need included. So relaxing sitting on the veranda, looking at the view. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would stay again.
This was just the secret getaway with stunning views we were looking for. Cheerful, homey, surroundings, practical for self-catering, relaxing deck. Mount Solitary-Korowal was endlessly fascinating despite the clouds.
We enjoyed waking up to the stunning views from this homely cabin/studio. It's nice and close to lots of lovely walking tracks around Katoomba. We both enjoy cooking so liked that it had cooking facilities.
