Poet's Cottage is a luxurious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom holiday home in the heart of the upper Blue Mountains. A charming retreat for couples, friends and families.

Built in 1912 and one of the very first cottages in the area, Poet's Cottage is located on the edge of the beautiful Valley of the Waters in historic Wentworth Falls - a 5-minute drive from beautiful Leura Village.

This stylishly restored and extended 114-year-old property offers the best of both worlds - tranquility and quiet away from tourist crowds yet the attractions of Leura and Katoomba are just a quick drive away.

Self-contained, with plenty of pampering comforts, the cottage offers an open-plan lounge and dining area with a freestanding gas log fireplace and a chef's style kitchen. Snuggle up in the three bedrooms with two queen beds, one king single bed and two single beds.

Watch honey-eaters sip flower nectar while relaxing on your entertainment deck, or wander through the large garden before enjoying the beauty of the world heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park, which backs directly onto the property. Then return to the cottage for a pampering spa.

Poet's Cottage is ideal for couples, families, trekkers, nature and bird enthusiasts.

For a romantic, adventurous or family getaway of simple elegance and comfort, spoil yourself and enjoy all the Blue Mountains has to offer.

We have been operating as a holiday rental since 2013 and have been multi-awarding winning across several booking platforms.

Extras:
- We regret that weddings cannot be accommodated
- Guests are refrained from smoking indoors or in the garden due to its proximity to bushland and the World Heritage National Park.
- In Autumn and Winter (May to November) warm outdoor clothing is advisable as temperatures can be up to 10 degrees cooler than Sydney.

Perfect home away from home

We (7 adults) spent 3 nights in Wentworth Falls for an annual bushwalking trip, and were delighted with all aspects of the property. It is a beautifully maintained house with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and quality bed and bath linen; handy essential and extra pantry items; an idyllic garden with private outside eating area; walking tracks from the back door, and a 15 minute walk into town and train station. Would definitely return for a family holiday as well as another "glamping" trip!

I love travelling but I can't help returning to the majesty of the Blue Mountains for it's stunning views, clean air, peace and tranquilty.

Why they chose this property

Poet's Cottage has been in my family since the early 1980s. It belonged to my late father who was a celebrated local writer and poet. The bushland diagonally opposite the cottage was named in his honour. Inspired by the incredible beauty of the Blue Mountains, he moved to Poet's Cottage from Sydney to write full time.
