Poet's Cottage is a luxurious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom holiday home in the heart of the upper Blue Mountains. A charming retreat for couples, friends and families.

Built in 1912 and one of the very first cottages in the area, Poet's Cottage is located on the edge of the beautiful Valley of the Waters in historic Wentworth Falls - a 5-minute drive from beautiful Leura Village.

This stylishly restored and extended 114-year-old property offers the best of both worlds - tranquility and quiet away from tourist crowds yet the attractions of Leura and Katoomba are just a quick drive away.

Self-contained, with plenty of pampering comforts, the cottage offers an open-plan lounge and dining area with a freestanding gas log fireplace and a chef's style kitchen. Snuggle up in the three bedrooms with two queen beds, one king single bed and two single beds.

Watch honey-eaters sip flower nectar while relaxing on your entertainment deck, or wander through the large garden before enjoying the beauty of the world heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park, which backs directly onto the property. Then return to the cottage for a pampering spa.

Poet's Cottage is ideal for couples, families, trekkers, nature and bird enthusiasts.

For a romantic, adventurous or family getaway of simple elegance and comfort, spoil yourself and enjoy all the Blue Mountains has to offer.

We have been operating as a holiday rental since 2013 and have been multi-awarding winning across several booking platforms.

Extras:
- We regret that weddings cannot be accommodated
- Guests are refrained from smoking indoors or in the garden due to its proximity to bushland and the World Heritage National Park.
- In Autumn and Winter (May to November) warm outdoor clothing is advisable as temperatures can be up to 10 degrees cooler than Sydney.

The charm of the cottage, the ambient gardens. It was well equipped and in a stunning area of the Blue Mountains. Loved the access to the Conservation Hut. The back deck leading onto the garden was absolutely beautiful. Everything was immaculately clean and comfortable.

Beautiful little cottage. Exactly as described. Spa bath added a little extra luxury and being greeted by the kookaburras in the morning was delightful. Host was lovely and a delight to communicate with. Our only issue was that we couldn’t get the fireplace going however I'm sure that was on us not the fireplace.

Perfect stay!

The place was perfect. Like a home away from home! Garden was beautiful too! If you are thinking of staying here, just do it!!! Also - coffee and food up the hill at the conservation centre is superb!!! Easy walk there too!

Poet’s Cottage is full of love

There was so much to like about this property. Lots of lively little touches that shows a lot of love has been invested in the home. Great heating system meant we were cozy in the winter chill. Convenient location close to walking tracks, quiet and inviting. Very helpful and prompt communications from a very kind host.

Beautiful Poets Cottage

What a gorgeous cottage. A perfect size for 2 couples, well equipped with lovely linen and towels and everything you would need in the kitchen. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and access to a lovely bush walk to Conservation Hut and Emerald Falls. Highly recommend this beautiful cottage.

Beautiful restful accommodation in an idyllic setting

Stayed with friends here for a few days and it was perfect …. Clean , comfortable , beautiful home with all you need. We were not far from from the falls , perfect walks through magnificent scenery , great cafes in Wentworth falls . Sophie was only a message away from taking care of any needs.

I love travelling but I can't help returning to the majesty of the Blue Mountains for it's stunning views, clean air, peace and tranquilty.

Why they chose this property

Poet's Cottage has been in my family since the early 1980s. It belonged to my late father who was a celebrated local writer and poet. The bushland diagonally opposite the cottage was named in his honour. Inspired by the incredible beauty of the Blue Mountains, he moved to Poet's Cottage from Sydney to write full time.
