A very relaxing spot along the French Broad River. Amazing wraparound porch and the cabin was well-appointed with everything we needed. Close to some nice hiking and the town of Hot Springs for some libations at Big Pillow Brewery. We also enjoyed a dinner at Spring Creek Tavern!
Great location on the water. Fantastic property. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the back deck and all the wildlife. The little town of hot springs has most of the essentials.
The house was very clean. Host was such great help with information about a spot to kayak from back down to the house. The hot tub worked great and was much enjoyed by us. The Balcony view of the lake was absolutely perfect. Greatest spot ive ever found for good kayaking and beautiful scenery for a great price.

Hi!
I’m so glad you were able to enjoy kayaking!
Thank you for the positive review.
Hope you can come again sometime.
All the best!
The property was beautiful. The setting couldn’t have been more tranquil and beautiful. Leann, the owner, was so kind and sweet when I met her I felt like I had known her for years. This cabin will definitely meet all your expectations if you’re wanting a place to relax and enjoy nature. Also the little diner in the town of Hot Springs has the best food and kindest people working there.
Love this spot! Cabin is beautifully crafted and well curated. Relaxing vibes nestled on the river with all the amenities you could need. Close enough to town to enjoy Hot Springs but enough off the beating path to disconnect. The host is very responsive and provides timely details. My family and I look forward to coming back next season.

Thank you so much for being a repeat river guest! We love it when families have a great time and enjoy the river and surrounding area. You were amazing guests! Hope you make it back next year.
Wow. This place is unreal. The place was super clean, the views are amazing and the layout of the house, the porch, the outdoor space is amazing. The construction is impressive and everything you need is available. The sound of the river from the porch is mesmerizing and the birds, bunnies and turkeys are fun to watch. We literally unplugged and enjoyed the peace. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and we had amazing sleep in the calm and tranquil setting. One of the best places we've ever stayed. The host were extremely responsive and this was a great weekend. Truly a phenomenal property
What a gem! This is our favorite house by far! It was super clean, extremely well stocked, private, and beautiful inside and out. Excellent Weber charcoal grill! The pillows were so comfortable we plan on purchasing some. We saw turkeys, otters, and an Osprey. Thankfully no bears, but we brought spray just in case. The gravel road is well maintained and no issues in a regular manual sedan. Communication was great and checking/checkout very easy. We are definitely planning on returning. Would love to know the outhouse story and what the metal posts by the river were for. Thank you for opening your home!
This was our 4th time booking a stay at this beautiful welcoming cabin. If seeking a place of comfort and serenity, Painted Rock cabin is the place to be. We especially enjoyed the soothing sounds of the rapids and the comforting gentle breezes when relaxing on the wrap around porch watching the wildlife. During this stay we were blessed to see a deer cautiously making her way across the river. We were also fortunate to observe a curious baby black cub as he/she explored the area surrounding the cabin while mother bear foraged for food. What a delight! Every stay has proved to be better than the last! With all said, we definitely be returning in the near future.

This house was perfect for our weekend get away. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The bedrooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable. We spent most of our time enjoying being outdoors. Leann was very quick to respond to all our questions and even was a huge help when we had an issue with our vehicle. I can't say enough good things about the house. We had to cut our trip short by a day but do plan on returning again in the future.

Thank you! I hope the vehicle issues didn’t dampen your anniversary celebration!
We appreciate you and sorry your trip was cut short.
Hope you can return soon!
This was a beautiful home, very clean and relaxing, can’t wait to visit again. We recommend walking down the river then the road to find the petroglyphs on the right before the parking at paint rock.
