About this property
Private/cozy Cottage in Cookeville, TN
Looking for privacy? near lots of things to do? WE HAVE IT!!! We are in Cookeville, and just a few miles to downtown and TTU- bonus big yard and quiet!!!
Stay-cation? We have WiFi for those who are working remotely and plenty of outdoor space for kids, walking, exploring.
-We would personally live in the cottage ourselves if it weren't so much fun to rent to guests!!!!!-
Great open layout, full Kitchen and room for 8 guests and covered porches on front and back!
We have a total of 78 acres on our property; the cottage is on top of a hill, with trees surrounding; nice yard area. You will not have main road noise or neighbors-great for families who have kids/pets who have never experienced just going outside to play and never having to worry about dangers near by like a road, etc. Also great for a romantic stay for a couple; very private, secluded, bring groceries and never have to leave if you do not want too!
We live on the property as well, but our home is not visible from the cottage.
We are very convenient to the towns of Cookeville, Algood, Gainesboro, Monterey, Sparta TN and surrounding area's.
3 miles from I-40 the main interstate, close to Cookeville TN and Tenn Tech University with many restaurants, shopping, etc. Very quiet and private cottage.
Covered front porch with grill (gas and propane/directly connects to tank underground-easy to use), screen in back porch-both with some outdoor sitting; fire pit in the backyard with chairs
Main level:Open floor plan with living room (TV is hung above the mantel), dining room table and kitchen; has gas fireplace in living room and full kitchen. Kitchen fully stocked with lots of cooking/baking pans and dishes. Plenty of utensils, plates, bowls, cups and serving items. Main bath has claw foot bathtub, with shower curtain; washer/dryer; king bed in master bedroom; Large walk in closet
Upstairs: 2 additional bedrooms; one with 2 full beds and other with 2 twin beds; another full bathroom upstairs.
Internet and TV in living room with Direct TV channels
-We allow well behaved pet (1 pet max) Pet fee required. No pet on furniture or beds.
*Do not depend on Google Maps to get you there, it's not been correct recently; directions are provided after reservation is secure. call or text me after reservation for questions if needed.*
**Drive way is long, up hill, gravel, easily accessible, but you can't see the cottage from the road- we live on the property, so the driveway is a DAILY use/drive for us as well** When you get to top of driveway; you will see cabin in the woods-past the 2 stone columns.
**Weekends-prefer Friday and Saturday night bookings together**
See photo for edible art boards, available for pre-order! Inquire for pricing+menu - size board (large) pictured is $45. Small $20; Delivered fresh to the cabin-prepared by host Elizabeth.
Downtown Cookeville and restaurant row is less than 6 miles away.
Uber and Lyft do service the Cookeville area-evenings/weekends. Some limited options for this, so you might see a longer wait time or a higher cost bec Uber and Lyft are just getting started in our area.

About the host
Hosted by Elizabeth & Nate Maxwell

We originally purchased this property in 1996 at an auction and at that time owned half the mountain, in 2015 we purchased the remaining acreage and the cabin. We have our home on the property as well and love it! We love the privacy and convenience of living here and the beautiful views during the fall/winter months. From our mountain you can see the entire town of Cookeville and at night with the light's it's beautiful! Elizabeth is from Nashville, but came to TN Tech for college, stayed and loves it today! Nate is born and raised in Cookeville himself. We both plan to have our 'forever' home on this mountain and to enjoy this property for our entire lives! We are very blessed and grateful to share a part our heaven with others to come and enjoy :)
